Pakistani Minister tells Parliament: Jews behind 9/11, Qur'an says Jews and Christians can never be friends of Muslims

WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THE BUSH DOCTRINE?

Didn't Bush say after 9/11 that if you harbor terrorists then you are considered a terrorist nation? Pakistan is harboring no less than super terrorist himself, yet we can resist the chance to voluntarily give those apes our hard earned cash?

there is no such thing as a "proud muslim nation" these words do not belong together.. would that statement come true, the West would truly be richer! muslims are like fat little snarly trained seals always begging for food, aka money and assistance. islam cannot stand on its own that is why they need to take over other nations and demand poll tax from non muslims. yeah no such thing as a "proud muslim nation"!

I'll do him one better:

All muslim nations should reject foreign assistance from non-muslim nations and our nations' leadership should stop doling out our money to those who hold such ill will against us.

The second half of his thesis is actually correct: Muslims by definition are enemies of ALL non-Muslim peoples without exception (including Jews, Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Gypsies, et al). And this will eventually prove Islam's undoing as most of the world of course is NON-MUSLIM.

As for this Islamozoid killer-zombies's other assertion that the Jews were behind 9-11 let it be known that the Commandment (from Yahweh) "Thou shalt NOT commit murder" is part of the Judaic religion and practicing Jews are bound by it (Muslims aren't--so guess who is the more likely to have been behind such an attack).

Clearly, attacking other countries is just fine with this guy as long as it is MUSLIMS doing the attacking and not the United States (which he says in not so many words, but, nonetheless that is what he is unmistakably saying).

As usual, a Muslim opens mouth and it isn't worth bothering to listen. Who cares what this creep says? We knew what he was going to say before he said it. (But if America pulled Pakistan from its list of countries receiving US aid he would be whistling a different tune--fast).

Several points here to consider:

Para 1: "...criticised the foreign policy, describing it as one of appeasement at the cost of national interests, sovereignty and honour." Sound familiar to everyone. But only when such appeasement makes Islam look bad. The West is doing such appeasement in spades, and continue to fall over backward to "accomodate" these slime-balls.

Para 4: "...the downfall of the former Soviet Union was a blunder. It resulted in the emergence of a unipolar world and gave the US a licence to attack any country it wished." So? The Soviets would have kicked your ass just as quick as we will (if necessary.) Keep talkin', Dr. Nazi!

The rest of his diatribe about making friends with the Infidels...You have may full support with this one, dude!

Oh, and one final piece of advice to Dr Nazi and all his ilk in the government: The next time Pakistan has a major earthquake and thousands of people die due the government's incompetence, do NOT come a knocking at our door.

Therefore, I disagree that we should try to induce the Muslims to change in order to solve our problems with them because the vast majority of them are unchangeable and a program such as this would not be feasible in real time.

There were those movies: "The Invasion of the Body Snatchers" (1956), and "The Blob" (1958), that seemed intended, to some extent, as allegories about the threat of communism. The Body Snatchers was simultaneously tongue-in-cheek fun and yet dead-serious scary. Are there any famous popular movies or books that are allegories for the threat of Islam? (For various reasons, I'd say Tolkien and C.S. Lewis don't quite fit the bill.)

The Body Snatchers could only allegorize Islam if one made a number of adjustments to the plot. Suggestions?

Amanpour tried her best, but common sense, based on recent historical fact, could not sway her from the inevitable...Islam is corrupt and needs to be buried, or at the very least reformed. Her scholarship lies solely on her mention of Qutb as the father of modern Jihadism.

She did not care for Iran's fashion police at all. Wave after wave of well-documented Islamic violence, supported by random Mullahs, painted an abyssmal portrait of Islam, in my opinion, with at least four useless Armstrong sound bytes notwithstanding. I would just like to point out that Orthodox Judaism, too, has a "complete system" such that you are preoccupied with God's commandments all your waking hours. Just something to think about.

By the way, I know all this because I AM an Orthodox Jew. For your information, circumcision is a fundamental part of cementing the human connection to God. It is absolutely not open to debate. Furthermore, it has no documented ill health effects, and in fact research shows that it might reduce the risk of HIV/AIDS.

This aptly and ironically points us to the question, is a person killed by those who believe Islam commanded their death in those circumstances just as dead even if the killer was mistaken about Islam?

In a sense, this is one of the fundamental points of Jihad Watch and Robert Spencer. It doesn't matter to those killed or subjugated what Islam "really" "means", they are just as dead or subjugated, even if those doing it don't read Arabic, and don't have a degree in Islamic studies from Harvard or Yale.

Furthermore, when the same idea is stated in many places in the Quran, and the many translations translate them as roughly the same, then its difficult to claim "out of context". Subjugating the infidel nations is one of those commands that is in many places in the Quran.

Many years ago, I did a lot of reading about cults and religious sects. I wish I had kept those books because I am often reminded of them when I read about Islam.

The aspects of Islam mentioned by Hugh (above) were all included in the literature's descriptions of cults.

How do you tell a religion from a cult?

The main difference the books discussed was that, in a cult, the leader is alive, so Islam would not qualify in that case. However, there are many cult-like aspects of Islam.

Are there rules for everything? Do they control what you wear, the hours you sleep, the food you eat?

Some might say, well, other religions have rules about food. That's true. But think about the many rules contained in Islam surrounding everything. So, not just food, and the way animals are killed, but what hand the person is supposed to use when eating and whether or not utensils are permitted.

As we learned in a recent thread, Islam has hundreds of rules about voiding and some imams dictate the colour of underwear Muslims must wear.

Think of the ritual ablutions and shaving that must be done for Islamic prayer to be valid.

People are so busy making sure they are following all the rules that they have little time and energy left over for independent thought.

That's usually the point of so many rules: control. And, also, self-perpetuation of the religious mindset. Actions set off certain thought patterns. Believers can't be in their house of worship 24/7, so they must be trained to self-perpetuate the religious mind.

One of the books I read talked about the emotional and mental process that a person experiences when being brainwashed.

First, the newbie is welcomed into the group and "love-bombed": showered with approval and never left alone. He is only told the positive aspects of the religion. He makes new friends and has an emotional investment in the social group. Gradually, he is turned away from his family and former friends, until he is completely reliant on his new religious friends. At some point, a total break is required.

The newbie's sleep, diet and clothing are influenced or controlled by the cult. This isn't a personal choice as in, say, a vegetarian's decision to eat a certain way for his health and the sake of the planet. These changes are required for the sake of conformity to group norms and, ultimately, for the person's salvation.

The newbie is brought to god in "love" but, coupled with the love, is always fear. God loves you and doesn't want you to burn in hell. God loves you and the devil is doing everything in his evil power to steal your soul and send you to hell.

Sure, Christians believe this too, but to what extent are their lives ruled by fear? To what extent does the preacher emphasize the devil and demons, etc., all controlling the scary, evil world? To what extent is the believer convinced that the world is filled with demons out to get him and destroy his eternal soul? How much fear is required to control the believer?

The believer is brought to salvation through love and fear and kept there through fear of anything that is not part of the religion.

There comes a point when the newbie has a great deal of emotional investment in his salvation. He loves god, he is afraid of satan, unbelievers and hell.

But maybe he is still able to use his intellect: he hasn't yet lost his ability to use logic and reason. So far, almost everything he has been told could be understood with the rational mind if a liberal helping of faith and fear was added.

Given his emotional investment, there is a strong incentive to keep believing what he has avowed. This is about god and sin and eternal life. These people are not just his new friends but his new family in god: they are his true brothers and sisters, better than the ones he grew up with who were always fighting over toys and competing for mommy's love. They are all shining examples of purity and holiness. They are the chosen and, thanks to their love, he is also one of the chosen.

So when he reads something in the holy book that doesn't make sense, he files it away for future reference. Surely he must be misunderstanding this. He would forget about it but then something else is said that doesn't add up. Perhaps he asks another believer about it and is told: "It's not for you to judge. You don't understand."

Perhaps he is naive enough to ask the preacher. How does the preacher explain away the inconsistencies or ridiculousness of some scriptures or practices? Does he encourage study? Does he bring it up at the next scripture study class and ask everyone for their input? Does he promise to pray and consult his seminary textbooks? Or does the preacher tell him: "God said it, it's all true, you must believe it all". If the newbie insists on questioning, does the preacher shame him? Does the preacher tell him that the devil is whispering in his ear, tempting him away from the one true faith?

This is the point at which the newbie makes an unconscious choice.

If he rejects the intellectual dishonesty of the preacher or the religion and insists on using his powers of reasoning, he will seek answers until he finds them, and will likely leave the religion.

If there is too much at stake emotionally, the newbie makes an unconscious decision to believe it all. Since it is impossible for a rational mind to believe in two opposing things at once, he must turn off his rational mind and just believe. He must accept, without thinking, every tenet of his faith, every word in the holy book, every word from the preacher's mouth. He must stop himself from using logic: god is always right and who is he to judge?

One book I read called this "splitting". Former cult members have reported having similar types of vivid dreams at this stage.

From then on, the believer will work very hard to believe without using his intellect, but he won't realize it. He might think he is being logical but he will just keep repeating certain things (self-perpetuating the religious mind), convinced that the unbeliever doesn't get because he is being blinded by satan or, worse, is a tool of satan sent to steal his salvation.

Again, Islam does not qualify as a cult, but it shares many characteristics.

This is not about observing some dietary rules or keeping the Sabbath: this is about control. How much control does a religion have over your day-to-day existence? How many petty rules control your physical actions? How much intellectual inquiry does your god permit? How much does your religion control your mind? How many opposite things are you required to accept as mutually true (if A is true, then B cannot also be true vs. A and B are both equally true because god said so)?

Although Lewis's fictional 'Calormenes' are idol-worshippers they are in every other respect the Saracens/ Moors/ Turks of collective European cultural memory that has been so recently suppressed/ repressed. And let us remember that Islam can be called a monotheistic paganism.

The chief god of the Calormenes is something called 'Tash'. And frankly, if one were to create a symbolic visualisation of the 'allah' the jihadists worship, one could hardly better Lewis's description of the apparition of 'Tash' in 'The Last Battle':

"In the shadow of the trees on the far side of the clearing something was moving. It was gliding very slowly Northward. In 'The Last Battle' (published in 1956) the Calormenes who are orchestrating a takeover of Narnia (beginning with bribery and corruption and deceit) make a big deal of conflating Tash and Aslan by referring to 'Tashlan'. It reminds me horribly of the way we are all being earnestly told that the Muslims 'worship the same God' as do Jews and Christians, or of that foolish Dutch bishop who thought it would be a good idea for Dutch Christians to start calling the Biblical God 'allah'.
