Pentagon warns that five Guantanamo inmates could be "a terrorist threat to Britain," but prime minister has called for their return

Downing Street looks to increase the Tiny Minority of Extremists in Britain by five. "Guantanamo Five could be 'a terrorist threat to Britain'," from the Evening Standard:

Five Guantanamo Bay inmates that ministers want to bring to Britain are "extremely dangerous" with close ties to Al Qaeda, the Pentagon has warned.
US officials disclosed details days after Gordon Brown's surprise decision to call for their release.
None of the men is a British national but were all legally resident in the UK before they were detained and taken to the notorious US detention camp.
America is still considering the request but Sandra Hodgkinson, who is in charge of US detention policy, warned that the five might try to carry out terror attacks if they were freed.
Reading from newly declassified files, she alleged that Shaker Aamer, 38, a Saudi national granted leave to remain in Britain, had been living in Afghanistan funded by Osama Bin Laden and working as his translator.
She said that Jamil el-Banna, 44, a Jordanian, had a "long-term association" with Iraqi terror chief al-Zarqawi, who was responsible for the murder of Briton Ken Bigley.
El-Banna came to Britain in 1994 and was granted asylum in 2000.
In 2003 he left London and was captured in the Gambia trying to board an aircraft with equipment which resembled a homemade electronic device.
A third suspect, Omar Deghayes, 37, a Libyan, was described as a "jihadi veteran" of the Bosnian war.
Lawyer Clive Stafford Smith, who represents the men, dismissed the allegations as "a blatant attempt to smear my clients".
The other two men are Binyam Mohamed, who lived in Kensington, west London, and had applied for asylum from Ethiopia, and Abdennour Sameur, a refugee from Algeria who lived in Bournemouth.
A Foreign Office source indicated that the Government was prepared for "long and complex negotiations with the US", adding: "Clearly the US would not release them and the UK would not be requesting their return if they were a risk to international or national security."
But the Conservatives challenged Home Secretary Jacqui Smith to explain how she would ensure the men caused no harm.
A Home Office spokesman said national security was Miss Smith's "foremost concern" but that the request still stood.

.....Just what Britain needs for its home grown Islamic thugs who are trying to destroy the UK....more Islamic thug leaders....

--- from the article above

The American government has now publicly warned the =government of Great Britain, about these people. If that government still demands that they be released to it, one of two things can happen.

The first is that, since none of the five is a British citizen (merely "legal residents"), they could be charged in Great Britain, and ultimately --- no doubt, given the state of things, after expensive and time-consuming procedures -- be deported. In their countries of origin, they will be drops added to an ever-replenshing bucket. It is up to the authorities in those countries -- Khaddafy, say, preparing a suitable welcome for a Libyan Al-Qaeda supporter -- to deal with each of their citizens as they deem fit. Some will be quite unpleasant, not because they are against Jihad but because they don't like threats to themselves and their regimes, and Al Qaeda is a movement uninterested in the wellbeing of individual Arab regimes, claiming (rightly) that Arab and Muslim rulers are almost all corrupt (true), and insufficiently Muslim (probably true).

The second is that they are rashly permitted to remain in Great Britain, to become a very expensive and permanent headache for the security services, and the object of stories in the Daily Mail. This will be a lesson for everyone in the impossibility of Infidel nation-states continuiing their immigration policies (and offering of "asylum" of those who are not the kind of asylum seekers, innocent victims of Nazis and Communists and other terror-regimes, but rather those who would if they could inflict their own terror-regimes, and not only in the countries they came from), and begin to push people to become much more clear-headed about this permanent problem, to change their immigration policies, and to change domestic policies so that Muslims will find Great Britain not foolishly welcomoing but determinedly unwelcoming, even hostile, and if that does not work to undo the effects of the past several decades of heedlessness in immigration policy, then such measures of obvious self-defense as the Benes Decree (that was put into effect by the tolerant, advanced, but much put-upon Czech government, headed by those two European statesmen Eduard Benes and Jan Masaryk, son of Tomas, who after the Czech experiece with ethnic Germans -- Sudeteners -- in 1938, and then during the war, when the Volksdeutsche were treated by the invading Nazis as fellow Germans, and many of them were happy to accept what that status meant in a period of war and occupation).

‘STOP THE ISLAMIFICATION OF EUROPE’ DEMONSTRATION (11th SEPT)

Freddy Thielmans, Mayor of Brussels, has banned a demonstration which was scheduled to take place on Tuesday 11th September at 1pm outside the building of the European Parliament to protest against the relentless ‘Islamification of Europe’. The organisers are now mounting a formal legal challenge to the Mayor’s right to take this action.

Until this matter is properly resolved they cannot endorse or accept any responsibility for any protest made by any individual or group of individuals.

However the Mayor of Brussels has no power to prevent tourists from visiting his city. Visitors to this website might like to consult ‘sioe.wordpress.com’ to gain helpful information about visitor amenities and tourist attractions in Brussels.

The Brits must love trouble.

Because Trouble (Jihad) sure loves them.

The way a wolf loves a succulent little lamb.

Let the U.K. find out the hard way that the answer to these s.o.b.'s is not reason and tolerance and acquiescence, but a military tribunal immediately when caught on the battlefield, and firing squad thereafter.

Instead, they invite in more Future Jihadists of England.

Somebody needs to read the Koran more closely.

So the new Dhimmi PM of Britain wants these guys back. It reminds me of the meeting another dhimmi, Dhimmi Carter had with the Chinese leader in the late 70s. Carter was bloviating about China's human rights record and its denial of the rights of dissidents to emigrate. The Chinese leader turned to him to say "Mr. President, how many Chinese would you like us to permit to emigrate to America? 10 million?, 20 million?, 30 million?" At that point Carter abruptly became silent.

In that spirit, I suggest we offer to send the entire prison population in Guantanamo to Britain and see what response we get.

....the dhimmicrats in America would be overcome with Joy and would make a counter offer to grant the former prisoners citizenship and government subsidized income and housing for the formerly imprisoned terrorists , who according to them, were just former farmers caught in the wrong place at the wrong time....well, the weapons they were caught with were for protection from rabid goats....

Greetings:

Why are you guys so upset by this pending release?

It's not like any others released from Guantanamo went back to jihad afterwards.

Oh wait....

If the individual known as "Adam Gadahn", or "Azzam the American", were to apply to the UK for asylum, from expected treatment by US authorities, would he receive asylum in the UK?

If not, why not?

"If not, why not?

......the question should be..Does the UK have an extradition treaty for individuals convicted for crimes in the US...I believe they do, which means if Adam is arrested in UK on the convictions in the US, he would be extradicted to the US to face trial on the convictions...(i believe he may have been convicted in absentia)...

The Brits don't want trouble - this idiotic, suicidal PM wants trouble.

Maybe he can put the terrorists up with his family while they get sorted out? No problems there right? I mean, Mr Brown, you want to put them in the midst of other's families - right?

Why would anybody want these guys?

They'll be grateful won't they, please say they will?

As I had upset myself so much worrying about what would happen when Gordon Brown became PM, I have not had the energy to rant about what he has been doing since he actually took over the helm. He had already shown himself to be excessively pro-Muslim, but without being well-informed about Islam. See

http://www.hm-treasury.gov.uk/newsroom_and_speeches/press/2005/press_34_05.cfm

where, addressing addressing a Muslim audience, he stated: "What we share in common is the belief in fair play, in social justice and in the equality and potential not just of some but of all".
Ok, so he is a politician, but I was stunned when I first read this. By now, I really should not be surprised by this Fantastic Five story, but I am. Gob-smacked, actually.
Even if, and it is a big IF, the five can be shown to be relatively innocent bunnies who
have been punished enough by their time in Guantanamo, that is still not a good reason for
them to returned to the UK. Hugh suggests that they might subsequently be deported, but the extreme difficulty that the government has faced in deporting Islamists previously suggests that would be unlikely to happen quickly, and might never happen.
They are not Britain's responsibility, and really we should just butt out of it, but if Brown can make a good case as to their innocent bunnyhood then please can the US just release them directly to their countries of origin ? Thanks awfully !

"M Al-Content" -- Anytime anyone uses the phrase "social justice", that's a big give-away.

The "social justice" crowd in Canada is pro-Islamic fundamentalist "freedom fighter" and anti-Israel.

M Al-Content -- Sorry about putting your nickname in quotes. I guess I got a bit carried away with the quotation marks and didn't notice where I was throwing them, LOL.

no worries, Josephine, let the "s fly where they will.

M Al-Content -- LOL.

and Gordon said unto George "Let my people go!".

keep your enemies closer...?
