I'm still monitoring the ranking of the book on Amazon. It has been knocked out of the top 100 for a couple of days now, but maintains its preeminence on a few sublists:

#1 in Books > Religion & Spirituality > Religious Studies > Comparative Religion

Spencer knocks 'em dead in this class. (In some christian circles we prefer the phrase "knock 'em alive", but the sentiment is essentially the same...)

#2 in Books > Religion & Spirituality > Christianity > Theology > Apologetics

This one is probably silly. ROP is not really a book of Christian apologetics, though perhaps it fits marginally in this category because much of the book is geared to dispelling some contemporary antichristian myths. The title, as I have suggested before, is a bit misleading, and even if taken at face value, does not fit into the usual sphere of apologetics, which is giving reason to believe a faith (ROP is explicitly non-evangelistic in purpose).

#12 in Books > Nonfiction > Politics

Ok, I'll accept this classification, as it really is about the politics of Islam.

Anyway, while ROP is tentatively out of the top 100, it is supplanted, apparently, by books that do not compare: self-help, pop philosophy, fiction and children's lit.

Maybe the overall ranking will return to its natural spot if a few more people take part in the ROP mailout to Senators...
