Shocker: Muslim American Society chief admits that Spencer quotes Qur'an accurately!

I was just on the Laura Ingraham Show with Dr. Esam Omeish, President of the Muslim American Society. Toward the end of the show, after I had quoted (with citations) a few Qur'an verses, Ingraham asked Omeish, "Is Spencer misquoting the Qur'an?" Omeish said no, I wasn't. (I'll see if I can get hold of an mp3 of the whole thing.)

Now, this is extraordinary, especially coming on the heels of CAIR's false and defamatory charges against me. Will Ibrahim Hooper call Omeish in for a friendly heart-to-heart? Better yet, will American Muslim advocacy groups actually begin to formulate new ways for Muslims to understand the passages I quoted and others, so as to stymie jihadist use of these passages to gain recruits and justify their actions among peaceful Muslims?

I won't be holding my breath.

Robert,

I saw the list of radio shows you posted yesterday and, unfortunately, my radio reception won't allow me to listen any of them clearly. Posting any one of them here at JW would be very much appreciated.

Amazing!!
There must be some sort of catch. Maybe Omeish realized that Robert know the material well enough that a face-to-face challenge wasn't go to make him look very good?
Good Job Robert! Keep up the good work!!

Robert, lots of good stuff in that interview.

Dr. Omeish also said, in so many words, that he'd be quite happy to see Sharia in the US, as long as Americans "vote it in." Not exactly subtle.

Next time, I'd love to see you or an interviewer ask Dr. Omeish to explain how he envisions the status of Jews, Christians, and Apostates in this wonderful future Sharia he has in mind for the USA (vs. hearing you explain it as you did today--I want to hear what the good doctor himself would say).

In that case, did Omeish agree with you, or was he simply of the opinion that you are making it more difficult for the US to become Islamic?

I'm sure Omeish will be getting a call from CAIR and/or other Muslim apologists setting him straight and making sure he utters the usual prattle on taking things out of context and the like.

This, in my opinion, shows how Robert's approach, studying Islamic texts and quoting them without angry name calling and silly, stupid calls to nuke this or that Muslim city, is far more productive and effective. I've watched videos of several interviews with Robert and I'm always impressed by his calm demeanor and the even, level way he discusses the issue without being condescending, arrogant or hateful. His "just the facts, ma'am" style keeps the focus on the issue in a way that puts his detractors on the hot seat because they must respond to the facts, not silly insults.

Thank you, Robert.

Hopefully there will be a link to listen to the interview.

I can hear CAIR seething now :-)

Omeish openly admitted he'd like to see shari'a laws implemented in the US "if enough people voted for it". Posted by: Tasty Beverage at August 15, 2007 11:52 AM
Neat. As for the Catholic Protestant wars in Europe, sure, it was a result of Catholic supremacy both in Europe against the Protestants (be it Holland, England and Prussia) as well as abroad (Mexico, Peru and rest of Latin America). But that's evolved to a point today whereby no sane person would mistake todays Catholic Church with that of Pope Innocent, much less Phillip II of Spain.

Robert

I look forward to the Michael Medved appearance. Incidentally, in your top panel, you should archive on your site all your radio and TV appearances (including HotAir).

Excellent interview, Robert. I've been telling my mother about you for years and when she heard you today on the radio she said, "I really like him!"

My mom caught the part about the good doctor's wife living in Canada and wearing the Hefty bag, along with his daughters who, he says, choose it for themselves. My mom wanted to know why, if she's such a great women like the doc says, he isn't living with her? Ahhhhh, the bennies and perks of being an Islamic man.

I couldn't believe he admitted to Sharia being instituted in the U.S., though. He almost got through the whole interview with his taqiyah talk intact.

Deos anyone remember the courtroom scene in the Godfather II where Frank Pentangeli has his epiphany after seeing his brother in the courtroom and recounts his testimony to the FBI?

"They said,Michael Corleone said this and Michael Corleone said that, and I said.... suuuure. I told them what they wanted to hear."

Bravo RS

What poor Spencer puts up with. Fitzgerald too.

It's a long slog, longer than most persons could withstand. Is fightng the endless crap of daily Islam winnable?

Who knows. We must bring up our young boys and girls to pick up the fight. I've raised two boys for the fight. Two outta three ain't bad.

Barring a nuclear moment, all us Baby Boomers will be in wheel chairs before the time comes --- and that's bad timing, and timing is everything.

Five years from now, maybe ten. Stop the demographic onslaught, then maybe ten years after.

Very interesting! I, too, would love to have an opportunity to hear these interviews.

Dr. Omeish also said, in so many words, that he'd be quite happy to see Sharia in the US, as long as Americans "vote it in."

This implies that Sharia is something different and incompatible with extant U.S. law, and that Sharia would have to replace our laws as they stand. Sharia would necessarily mean setting aside "with liberty and justice for all" unless immediately followed by "male believers", or understood and interpreted as such.

I suspect that "vote it in" are not his true sentiments anyhow, but rather a means by which he can reveal his true feelings, yet avoid giving the impression that he treasonously advocates the "violent" overthrow of the U.S. government.

I listened to the entire "conversation".

I was hoping Mr. Spencer would get a chance to pounce on Mr. Omeish's allegation that so many of the Koran's verses are taken "out of context". The opporutinity to do so did not avail itself. Perhaps next time. That nefarious allegation is one that needs to be knocked down as soon as the words are uttered by the apologist for islam.

I was pleased that the conversation between Ingrahm, Spencer, and Omeish was allowed to last more than a mere few minutes.

In closing, I too have to admit that I was surprised that Omeish did, in fact, admit that Mr. Spencer was accurately quoting verses from the Koran.

Greek Fire -

Remember - the US Constitution has a mechanism built into it whereby the whole thing can be scrapped, and a new start taken.

Violence is not required. Population is.

The founding fathers didn't believe that they had necessarily "gotten it perfect" the first time.
The proviso was so there would not need to be a revolution or coup in the event of tyranny.

Re: "Now, this is extraordinary, especially coming on the heels of CAIR's false and defamatory charges against me".

Fibrahim Hooper and the CAIR liars practice "spiritual terror" as recommended by Hitler in Mein Kampf. U-can-forget-it re truth with Hooper and the CAIR slanderer-liars. Heil Hooper!

Hitler: "I understood the infamous spiritual terror which this movement exerts, particularly on the bourgeoisie, which is neither morally nor mentally equal to such attacks; at a given sign it unleashes a veritable barrage of lies and slanders against whatever adversary seems most dangerous (Robert and others, e.g), until the nerves of the attacked persons break down and, just to have peace again, they sacrifice the hated individual (Robert, e.g.)..........Conversely, they praise every (PC) weakling on the opposing side, sometimes cautiously, sometimes loudly, depending on the real or supposed quality of his intelligence".

It's funny how Hitler accused Jewish people of every tactic (including the "big lie") that Hitler practiced against his "enemies". He projected a lot.

I would think Americans would never vote in Sharia law. Sharia wont be elected, if it happens at all, it will be imposed. It wont be imposed without mighty resistance...

Did you hear Omeish gush on about Sharia as being against drinking, gambling, and premarital sex? He chose just those aspects which would sound best to an average American.

Sharia might just sneak in under the radar if it's whitewashed like that.

Luckily, Robert countered with some of the uglier aspects of Sharia.

Alarmed Pig Farmer,

Picking up where we left off at the other thread last night regarding your excellent comments about women being the center of the universe, here's something to remind us all of how right you are. This little darlin' is definitely worth protecting:
