Now that was one of the better Spencer interviews/debates on radio I've heard. Everyone got to express themselves with no rushing, and very little talking-over-the-top of others.
I was glad to hear how often Sharia law was brought up and talked about in everyday terms; many more people will be familiar with the word and what it entails.
Great Stuff, Robert, as always. I wish Laura would have given you more time (since it's your book that's being promoted) instead of allowing Omeish to run his mouth while not actually saying ANYTHING except for the same ole "taking the Koran out of context" crap.
You spoke well. Consise and to the point. Thank you Robert for speaking for so many of us.
Good luck on the rest of your radio interviews today. I'll be listening to you on Medved later.

Wonderful job Robert, you have made my day. I hope you don't mind, but I am going to upload this file to youtube and publicise it on other web sites, we need more and more people to hear the truth.
I sensed both Laura and Robert were aware of a line: can't beat on the guest too hard.
Omeish was honest: yes, he wants sharia law in the US: "If enough people understand and want it". For Omeish, our governmental prime is a simple majority rules: one choice may include egalitarianism, the next may not. In other words, Omeish is perfectly ok with Americans voting to take away their own voting rights.
I agree - you did well, particularly when addressing the implications of Shariah law if brought to the West. Also, Omeish's statement about the Quran being taken out of context was a perfect non-answer to Laura's question about the Pew poll that showed 26% of young Muslims supporting suicide bombings under certain circumstances. You also did well exposing his organization's Ikhwan ties.
I'll be listening to you on Medved. That would be the third hour?
Taqiyya, taqiyya, taqiyya,
Omeish is a slithery snake
and wants to break our country into two,
one part for the ummah, and one for me and you.
Then, as in India, they will squeeze the womb
of mohammedan women to produce
more jihadis who will bomb
our Constitution into small pieces
that fall slowly to the ground
where they are blown away
by the violent winds of jihad.
Let us see what one of the founding fathers said about Christianity
Thomas Jefferson said "Millions of innocent men, women, and children since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined, imprisoned, yet we have not advances one inch towards uniformity. What has been the effect of coercion? To make one half of the worlds fools, and the other half crites. To support roguery all over the earth."
How would he be looked at if he said this today?
Let us see what Jesus say
In Matthew 10:34, Jesus says, "Don't imagine that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword!"
Hmm maybe Thomas saw Christians implementing this in his time or he just read history.
But people will say ohh this verse is taking out of context and you have to read the verses before and after....it seems that Christians did implement this verse but in those days we did not have people like Robert to expose these crazy people.
People always trot out good 'ole Matthew 10:34 to argue that Christianity has its violent verses as well.
Matthew 10:L34 is NOT a call to arms. Jesus says that people will come to blows over him, but he is not telling them to do so, urging them on, or otherwise encouraging violence. This is NOT the equivalent of "go out and smite the necks of the non-believers." This is an acknowledgement that he is here to stir things up, and that people will react different to his message.
This does not subrogate the Sermon on the Mount, the rendering onto to Caesar what is Caesar's, removing the plank from your own eye, loving your neighbor as yourself, etc.
The more I think about Matthew 10:34, it is saying that being a Christian means you may be put to the sword as a result for being a believer.

Most Americans would agree on the evils of trying to coerce anyone into a belief system.

Exactly. IN THOSE DAYS we did not have people like Robert. Now we do. He is exposing the crazy people who want to coerce others into a belief system.
NOWADAYS, it's the Muslim crazies instead of the Christian crazies.
Currently on Medved: Marcus the moron, who thinks the British colonialists were the Christian equivalent of the Jihadis. He obviously didn't go far back to see what happened to his ancestors under the Moghuls.
Revised message to United States citizen jihad watchers:
I started posting this request at Jihad Watch only yesterday, and we already have 13 volunteers.
I'm looking for at least two people in every state of the Union who would be willing to purchase a copy of Robert Spencer's Religion of Peace? Why Christianity Is and Islam Isn't and mail it to one of the senators in your state. I'm organizing an effort to get the book simultaneously to all 100 senators, in order to send a strong message.
If we get more than two people per state, we’ll also send copies to the House of Representatives.
If you’d like to be involved, please write to me at traehnam@yahoo.com to tell me the state your senator represents, an email address where I can reach you, and a nickname. No need for your real name. Over at www.jihadawareness.blogspot.com you can leave comments other volunteers will read, and you can see the growing list of volunteers for this project, and the states their senators represent. I’ll try to update the list at least once a day.
Once we have at least two people from every state, we can agree on a mailing date and then each of us can mail a copy of the book on that date.
Right before we do the mailing, we might issue a short press release to newspapers in every state, and in that way announce and briefly explain the mailing.
The Muhammedan's have now a fifth column in every Western country and are lying low, while they plot and plan, agitate and propagate, terrorize and sabotage us.
When the Muslims are weak there is relative calm, but by the power of demographics, outbreeding and unhindered immigration, by peaceful da'awa and the spread of mosques, the lives of the non muslims will are impacted upon every negatively.
That's why we nee a counter campaign, awareness campaigns and the whole doctrine has to be dismantled, ridiculed and brought out into the open until Muslims either leave the cult or the country.
I just can't get over how Robert says "Islam needs a reinterpreted" all the time. I mean, how many ways can you interpret "Kill the unbelievers wherever you see them"?
Does Robert believe in the kind of reinterpretation where you turn "Kill" into "Be friendly to"? Because that's the kind of thing he's advocating!
The desire for Sharia law should instantly mark you as an enemy of democracy, freedom, and the United States. Sharia law and Democracy can not exist in the same space. I don't understand how Laura and RS did not go ballistic on that admission from the Islamist. There is no such thing as a nice version of Sharia.
Laura really helped the process by asking direct questions and not taking any guff from the MAS rep. Great job, Robert.
Listening to Omeish reminded me how evasive Muslim spokesmen are. It's what they don't say. Not once did he ackowledge acts of intolerance and violence perpetrated by his fellow Muslims. He completely sidestepped the issue of militancy and advocacy of radicalism in the Brotherhood, labeled the terrorist policies of Hamas as "military" aspects and in general made not one disparaging remark about any hateful or murderous activities of Muslims in any regard. They may regret a heinous act, but never the Muslim who carried it out. It is as if their piety is so mighty that the negative behavior is completely washed away by the prevailing goodness.
We have seen it before-- a sad attempt to deny or conceal what they cannot incorporate into the distorted vision of Islam that they feel they must peddle to the outside world. Sadder still, they fail to realize the incalculable good will that would be generated from even a modicum of honesty regarding the more difficult points of their religion. How long can they sustain this ruse?
In the meantime, who will be the equivalent of Benes in our time?
Good talk Robert...*Warning* Esam Omeish would vote for Sharia law...That leaves a huge gap on why he's living in a country where the majority oppose it.
I was disappointed with Laura’s performance on three points:
1. She didn’t give Robert much time to speak (he was on to promote his book!).
2. Omeish described a pattern whereby Muslim Brotherhood (MB) activists allegedly gave up their MB membership (and how do we check whether a person has given up a membership in a partly clandestine organization?) and then joined the Muslim American Society. That sounds a lot like the operation of the old Communist front groups where a person might be a member of one or more overt and apparently benign leftist organizations but maintain secret membership and receive direction from the Communist Party. I seem to remember that Laura was a Reagan activist during the tail end of the cold war and also majored in Soviet Studies. She should have recognized this pattern.
3. Omeish excused Hamas’ terrorism because they are located in “Palestine” and face Israeli “occupation”. Laura did not respond. Since when did Arab/Muslim terrorism against Israeli civilians become “kosher” in mainstream conservative circles?
I too listen to that and Robert just as always you even have my full attention! You are great! Laura needs a pat on the back she does not let things get all wishy washy!
It would be like a bad nightmare without you Robert! You are certainly heaven sent! God Bless You! It is like where did Robert come from? So very needed, so very intelligent! So very giving and wise! The muslims- islamist cannot hold a candle to you! I say, in God's name he sent you and I thank him! I thank God so much that you are with us! You are a cornerstone! I believe you can answer questions they do not even know about their own religion! You are a Master for sure!

Yes very good Robert
I noticed that quite a few times Omeish suggested that Christianity was on the same par as Islam on violence etc, and Laura was not having any of it.

Robert Spencer was damn brilliant in that debate.
The dude is on fire.

The U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights forbid Sharia.
Both would have to be destroyed for Islamic Law to become a fact.
And that's a fact.
There is no way to vote to end the basis of the Constitution, which declares that our rights are inherent, not government given.
All that our system of laws are for is:
to restrain the government from infringing on our natural liberties.
The Muslim guest can't fathom this, clearly.
Since he doesn't believe in it.
And shouldn't be in this country if he doesn't.
Robert should have been allowed to retort to Omeish's last comment, because that exact kind of statement, was integral to what his book dispels.
She should've given Robert more air-time as well.
We cannot coexist.
The Muhammedan's have now a fifth column in every Western country and are lying low, while they plot and plan, agitate and propagate, terrorize and sabotage us.
