A criminal investigations report says several U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services employees are accused of aiding Islamic extremists with identification fraud and of exploiting the visa system for personal gain.The confidential 2006 USCIS report said that despite the severity of the potential security breaches, most are not investigated "due to lack of resources" in the agency's internal affairs department.
"Two District Adjudications Officers are allegedly involved with known (redacted) Islam terrorist members," said the internal document obtained by The Washington Times.
The group "was responsible for numerous robberies and used the heist money to fund terrorist activities. The District Adjudications Officers made numerous DHS database queries to track (Alien)-File movement and check on the applicants' status for (redacted) members and associates."
According to the document, other potential security failures include reports that:
Employees are sharing detailed information on internal security measures with people outside the agency.
A Lebanese citizen bribed an immigration officer with airline tickets for visa benefits.
A USCIS officer in Harlington, Texas, sold immigration documents for $10,000 to as many as 20 people.
A USCIS employee, who wished to remain anonymous for fear of reprisal, said many of the complaints in the multipage document are as many as three years old.
"Terrorists need immigration documents to embed in our society and work here without raising alarm bells," said the employee.
"Whether through bribing an immigration officer, an employee with the department of motor vehicles, or utilizing highly effective counterfeit documents produced by the Mexican drug cartels. They are always looking for that documentation to live amongst us."...
Last week, The Times disclosed a confidential DEA report substantiating the link between Islamic extremists and Mexican drug cartels. The 2005 DEA report states that Middle Eastern operatives, in U.S. sleeper cells, are working in conjunction with the cartels to fund terrorist organizations overseas. Several lawmakers promised congressional hearings based on the information disclosed in the DEA documents.
The DEA report also stated that Middle Eastern extremists living in the U.S. — who speak Spanish, Arabic and Hebrew fluently — are posing as Hispanic nationals.
USCIS Director Emilio Gonzalez in March told Congress that he could not establish how many terror suspects or persons of special interest have been granted immigration benefits....
The penalties for such behavior by INS officials should be unusually severe. In the case of those who have been aided, and whom it would be reasonable to assume share the world-view of Muslim terorists, very long prison terms and giant fines will do part of the trick. Revamping the INS, and scattering through it agents who are keenly aware of, may even have a personal interest in, preventing or checking those supporting Jihad on the path of Allah, here or abroad, would be welcome. More former Israelis, Maronites, Copts in the INS, possibly some Iraqi Christians, better capable of sniffing out things, seeing tell-tale signs where others would see nothing at all -- that is all to be encouraged.
Whole classes of people should not be here in the first place, as representing the most obvious risks. The entire class of "Palestinian" and Jordanian Arabs should be prevented from entry; both observed behavior, and the monitoring of public opinion, suggests that 95% will be hostile to America. In such circumstances, why take a chance? Why risk the wellbeing of Americans? On what theory? Instead, simply cut off all immigation of Muslims from those two populations.
There is another problem. I was told recently about a case that is hardly unique, of an immigrant from India who presented himself as a Hindu, then decided to outwardly convert to Christianity in order to marry an American. Once she gave birth to a child, and apparently his remaining in the country was assured, he divorced her, and at that point revealed that he had not really converted to Christianity, and was not really a Hindu, but had remained a Muslim all along. But by then it was too late.
Change the laws, so that the "too late" never arrives, and mistakes in allowing in those who should not be allowed in can be reversed.
It takes Congressional hearings. It takes Presidential candidates making an issue of it. It takes a complete change in many minds.
....I have noted this before....In the Immigration bureaucracy, there are employees in positions that review and process visa and immigration requests are MUSLIM....(and probably Muslims sympathetic to the grand Muslim plan of global domination), likewise, you may have discovered that there are many Muslims working in Airport cargo areas, many Muslims working in areas storing military supplies and weapons, many Muslims working in areas where great damage could be done, i.e. air traffic comptrollers, commuter train switch stations, shipping and receiving terminals, it is Islamic infiltration behind enemy lines (our borders are the enemy lines in Muslim eyes).....it is time we remove these people from these positions...and it is time we Ban Muslim Immigration...
Government employees (it's a stretch to call them US officials) are aiding our enemy. All you need to do is show them the money.
So what else is new?
Our history is replete with such examples. Were those who aided Russia during the Cold War, such as John Walker, any more or less egregious? Walker was caught but how many more escaped detection?
Why should the case of the Indian Muslim who posed as a Hindu convert to Christianity be closed? Isn't there such a thing as fraud? People who get their visas under false pretenses can have them revoked and be repatriated. Why is it too late? Once he divorced his American wife, why wouldn't his admission of fraud be grounds for revocation of citizenship (if it got that far) and deportation? Criminals stay here as long as they have American children?

The real question is whether or not our congress will do anything effective about the problem. You can bet that CAIR, La Raza, the ACLU and other left wing outfits will be watching like a hawk for any real attempt at effective action to protect us. Effectiveness is always politically incorrect since it always affects some self-proclaimed victim minority group that these left-wing outfits must agitate on behalf of to justify their existence. Our sellout politicians know this and mainly use these congressional hearings to pretend to do something. Indeed, the penalties for those involved (the ones taking the bribes and the ones getting into the country illegally) should be unusually severe. It's illegal; it's putting the country at risk; and it's a slap in the face to everyone who has gone through the process of legally moving into the US.
Eleven years ago, my wife and I were going through the process of adopting our daughter from Russia. With all the documentation we had to provide, you'd have thought we were bringing a former KGB agent into the states instead of a 4 year old handicapped child. The time and trouble involved was incredible.
BUT, as always, if you have money and people 'in charge' with no scruples at all there is a way around the laws and rules and waiting in line. It's just another symptom of a terminally ill immigration system. Unfortunately, this diseased system in likely to end up killing a lot of innocent people.

I used to work for a printshop and from time to time catch people making or trying to make false documents. Many times these people were uh...(well I don't want to be labeled a racist)...anyway, this was after the 1st trade center bombing maybe like '97-'98. We simply would call the police and they would come bye and pick the folks up and charge them w/ making fraudelent docs. Hopefully they were deported, I never saw them around the store again. But anyhow, this is nothing new as I'm sure it has been going on for decades.

Could also be Canadians (of Lebanese origin, etc.) I think the same thing is going on here in Canada -- get little (back page) news articles briefly mentioning "so and so" has been held for questioning in the issuing of visas and passports...or you get the corrupt, bribed Refugee Board people, or the corrupt people overseas (they are not staffed by Canadians) issuing to all and sundry (family, relatives, for-the-right-price "friends") entrance visas into Canada. (I believe there is a vast and growing underground of illegals living here).

I was one of three Admin. Law Judges in Massachusetts overseeing the RMV until three years ago. Fraud in driver licensing seems to be universal.

More than a few began by one state's largesse (perhaps a temp. license), transfer to another that had no temp. status and they'd grant a full license. And before long..You guessed it. Work that out a few times seeded by bogus immigration documents.
If they can't do the job, shut the door until they catch up. Let the applicants wait until their visas run out. Ooops, I forgot. What visas?
