The Koran & the Bible

Twenty-first century Muslims have two options: we can continue the barbaric policies of the seventh century perpetuated by Hassan al-Banna, Abdullah Azzam, Yassir Arafat, Ruhollah Khomeini, Osama bin Laden, Muslim Brotherhood, al-Qaeda, Hizballah, Hamas, Hizb-ut-Tahrir, etc., leading to a global war between Dar al-Islam (Islamic World) and Dar al-Harb (non-Islamic World), or we can reform Islam to keep our rich cultural heritage and to cleanse our religion from the reviled relics of the past. We, as Muslims who desire to live in harmony with people of other religions, agnostics, and atheists choose the latter option. We can no longer allow Islamic extremists to use our religion as a weapon. We must protect future generations of Muslims from being brainwashed by the Islamic radicals. Accepting responsibilities

To start the healing process, we must acknowledge evils done by Muslims in the name of Islam and accept responsibility for those evils. We must remove evil passages from Islamic religious texts, so that future generations of Muslims will not be confused by conflicting messages. Our religious message should be loud and clear: Islam is peace; Islam is love; Islam is light. War, murder, violence, divisiveness & discrimination are not Islamic values.

Religious privacy

Religion is the private matter of every individual. Any person should be able to freely practice any religion as long as the practice does not interfere with the local laws, and no person must be forced to practice any religion. Just as people are created equal, there is no one religion that is superior to another. Any set of beliefs that is spread by force is fundamentally immoral; it is no longer a religion, but a political ideology.

Equality

Islam is one of the many of the world's religions. There will be no Peace and Harmony in the World if Muslims and non-Muslims do not have equal rights. Islamic supremacy doctrine is just as repulsive as Aryan supremacy doctrine. History clearly shows what happens to the society whose members consider themselves above other peoples. All moderate Muslims must repudiate the mere notion of Islamic supremacy.

Sharia

Sharia Law must be abolished, because it is incompatible with norms of modern society.

Outdated practices

Any practices that might have been acceptable in the Seventh Century; i.e., stoning, cutting off body parts, marrying and/or having sex with children or animals, must be condemned by every Muslim.

Outdated verses

The following verses promote divisiveness and religious hatred, bigotry and discrimination. They must be either removed from the Koran or declared outdated and invalid, and marked as such.

Outdated words & phrases

Use of the following words and phrases or their variations must be prohibited during religious services:
• Infidel / Unbeliever: these terms have negative connotation and promote divisiveness and animosity; Islam is not the only religion
• Jihad: this word is often interpreted as Holy War against non-Muslims
• Mujaheed/Holy Warrior: no more wars in the name of Islam
• American (Christian / Crusader / Israeli / Zionist) occupation: these terms promote bigotry; at this point in time, Muslims living in non-Muslim lands have more freedoms than Muslims living in Muslim lands

Islam vs. violence

Islam has no place for violence. Any person calling for an act of violence in the name of Islam must be promptly excommunicated. Any grievances must be addressed by lawful authorities. It is the religious and civic duty of every Muslim to unconditionally condemn any act of terrorism perpetrated in the name of Islam. Any Muslim group that has ties to terrorism in any way, shape, or form, must be universally condemned by both religious and secular Muslims.

Portrayal of Prophets

While portrayal of Prophets is not an acceptable practice in Islam could be personally offensive to some Muslims, other religions do not have such restrictions. Therefore, the portrayal of the Prophets must be treated as a manifestation of free expression.

The Crusades vs. The Inquisition

While the Inquisition was a repulsive practice by Christian Fundamentalists, the Crusades were not unprovoked acts of aggression, but rather attempts to recapture formerly Christian lands controlled by Muslims.

Ive accidently dropped my Bible many times over the years but nobody ever rioted. Whats with these people. Are they the middle easts version of inbred hillbillys.( they fight and fued all the time ).

Send these Muslims some soothers.

Weren't they given pak to have thier own land? I don't see Hindus and Buddhists living peacefully in Pak or in Bdesh.

So why do moslems have to live EVERYWHERE but they make life impossible for anyone else once they have the majority?!

They only riot if its soap on a rope. They know they cant pick up the soap and put it in a sock to beat you over the head with, if, you jerk back on the rope.

Why should Muslims be privileged to get into tantrums (and riots, and criminal destruction) just because the Quran is dropped or worse?

There is NO proof that the Quran is holy. Neither is there any proof that Muhammad is a prophet.

At least, the Bible has prophecies which have been fulfilled and still are being fulfilled. What does the Quran have to offer as proof of holiness? Absolutely nothing! So why do Muslims even believe it to be holy, blindly going into tantrums at the slightest insult?

We should not keep allowing Muslims to just go into tantrums. Whenever they get insulted, they should be made to answer to their own doctrine of jihad, showing them how evil their religion really is.

Apparently the violence and fury of the mob is increased in incidents of this kind by the belief that whoever strikes the fatal blow is guaranteed a direct passage to paradise.

Bombs and bullets will put a stop to this crap ! Any excuse to riot for the Muslims. It's a form of partying for them.

What was all the fuss over a dropped Koran about; did someone drop it in a urinal, or wherever it is they go to relieve themselves? Maybe it was dropped in a foot bath?

As we all know, muslims start making their presence felt politically in a non-muslim democracy, as soon as they are about 10% of the population. India is in a deep hole because its naive/gullible/foolish leaders allowed muslims to stay on, while the Pakistanis and Bangladeshis forced out, converted or murdered their hindu population.

Then the governments pushed a population control program which resulted in hindu growth at 2% (and reducing) while the muslims, who don't care about such things have grown at 3% (and increasing), so that currently the muslims are 16% of the population, on an average. But there are parts of the country, where they are 25% to 35% of the population, at which numbers, given their assertiveness and bloc approach to voting, they start dominating the proceedings. Add to this illegal migration of millions of muslims from Bangladesh and you have a situation at hand.

For instance in Assam, where the muslim/hindu ratio is currently around 50%, but will zoom to 72%+ in a few years (that's the ratio in the under 6 years old population). That means trouble, but the Indians don't seem to be fussed. For a people who have been oppressed by islam for centuries, Indians in general are ignorant of islam's basics and have the mindset of "all religions are essentially the same and lead to the same God" etc.

Unlike hindus, muslims are known to vote en masse, even without a fatwa, as it gives them a clout disproportionate to their numbers. The politicians respect this fact and the muslims know it too. So no one messes with the muslim vote and India is the Dar ul Dhimmi democracy par excellence.

This techiness of muslims in India seems to be increasing of late, could be due to the following reasons:

- partly the result of coming of age of the zombie flowers of wahabi funded, staffed and influenced madarssas and mosques.

- greater sense of global community and ummah support and interaction thanks to Al Qaeda, telecoms and internet. The cartoon rage and pope rage were useful rehearsals.

- the PC Dhimmi Indian media's biased reporting which shows the muslims as innocent victims each time, regardless of the fact that in every documented case the trouble starts with a muslim riot or provocation. So muslims see themselves as victimised by everyone. Recently there have been some signs of reality sinking into the media - for instance, when the Bangladeshi woman author Taslima was murderously assaulted by muslim politicians in Hyderabad, for her "insults" to islam.

- the success of non-muslim India (in spite of its corrupt politicians and their assininely foolish policies), while muslim pakistan and bangladesh are basket cases.

With the sense of ummah congealing, rioting over any perceived affront to islam is par for the course in India. An "insult" to quran is one of the best ways for deliberately setting up a "riot prone" situation: it's always been of great help in taking over public property - whether it's hawkers in Bombay's mo mad ali road or muslims eyeing buddhist monastery land in ladakh - there's nothing easier than alleging an insult to quran, to have your way, or at least teach the dumb kafir officials a lesson each time by beating them up on this pretext. So that the next time they keep off.
