The nation-state is meaningless to a good Muslim, to the precise extent that he takes his Islam seriously. It exists; he needs its passport. He wants, in the case of the Infidel nation-state, to enjoy all the fruits of that state -- the fruits that are produced because it is the creation of Infidels, and is well-run, productive, and has stability and the rule of law. The "refugee," or rather immigrant, generally comes from one of an assortment of badly-run Muslim countries where despots are the natural order, given how Islam inculcates the notion that political legitimacy is to be located elsewhere than in "will of the people."
Listen carefully to Muslim rhetoric in this country. It is always not-quite-what-it-seems-to-be: we hear, for example, the phrase "we are here to stay." What does that mean? Is that a rousing sign of loyalty to the American political and legal system? Or is it, rather, an aggressive and defiant expression -- we're here, we're not going anywhere, and we will do exactly as we please, in putting relentless pressure on the American legal and political system, on its educational system, on its social understandings, and will never give up, and don't think about trying to stop us -- because "we're here to stay."
Have you seen Muslims visiting the rude bridge in Concord or Gettysburg, or any sites having to do with American history? In what fields have Muslims demonstrated an interest? Yes, in computer engineering, or other kinds of technology, and the more applied and the less imbued with values, including the values of science, the better. But when have you seen Muslims in this or any European country teach the history of that country -- say, American history, or Western civilization, or European art, or European music, or much of anything at all save those same few areas of engineering (and some parts of medicine), and those same "Islamic studies" of a comically apologist nature (where those who haven't gotten with the collaborationist program are carefully kept down, or kept out)?
Islam does not recognize the nation-state. It flatly contradicts the idea of the nation-state, of loyalty to the nation-state. This does not mean that some Muslims, in some Muslim-dominated lands, do not feel a desire to claim that "their" country is the "leader" of the (Arab, Islamic -- choose one) world. Muslims in Egypt may mock the rich Gulf Arabs for being rich, and uncivilized. Muslims in Iran may mock all the Arabs for being "desert" or "primitive" people, as compared to the "civilized" and "sophisticated" Iranians. (There is a nationalist pride in Iran, but that pride goes against Islam, and always has -- and that appeal to Iranian pride could be useful in de-islamising part of the Iranian population). Muslims in Jordan may mock the Kuwaitis as languorous sissies. Muslims in the Gulf may mock the poorer Arabs...for being poor. Muslims in Iraq may mock the other Arabs because Iraq "has a culture that is thousands of years old" or Iraq "is the cradle of world civilization" (even as the present Arabs show a complete indifference to the pre-Islamic past) or some such puffery that they love to engage in -- while we, looking at them, can only say "what have you done for the world lately?" And by "lately" we mean the last thousand years. They like to think of themselves as having been the inheritor of the Abbasid Caliphate, and full of this vast "middle class" that in Iraqi minds is exaggerated into something practically like England in 1920, when that "middle class" was, in that same 1920, almost entirely Jewish and Christian, and is now -- or was until the last few years --Christian with an admixture of those who were determinedly secular (that is to say, as non-Muslim-as-possible) Muslims.
Islam and the nation-state do not blend. Islam dictates to Muslims, inculcates in Muslim minds, a Belief System that offers both Complete Regulation, from dawn to dusk, soup to nuts, and a Total Explanation of the Universe. It has no need for, it ignores, it effaces or steps over, the silly limits of those silly Infidels with their silly nation-states.
This has to be thoroughly understood by Infidels, if they are to protect themselves.

Once we have at least two people from every state, we can agree on a mailing date and then each of us can mail a copy of the book on that date.
Right before each of us mails the book, we can issue a press release to various media outlets in every state, and in that way announce and explain the mailing. And perhaps we can come up with some other ways of maximizing the effectiveness of this project and gaining as much positive attention as possible.
One of the project's volunteers suggested contacting Rep. Sue Myrick, who started the Anti-Jihad Caucus in Congress. I'll try to coordinate this project with Rep. Myrick to maximize its effectiveness. I've also been calling various congressional offices to get advice on how best to go about the project.

Muslims are coasting on their "accomplishments" of over a thousand years ago and very, very few people in the West will confront them on their lack of any success since then. Sorry, can't count the oil fields as that was just dumb luck of geography and they still need Western expertise in pumping it out, refining, etc.

I agree with you that Tancredo is an extraordinary politican with vision, guts, and smarts (one of the few Beltway non-whores with the brains to stand up for America and against Islam). Alas, as far as this presidential election goes I am afraid he has missed the boat already. Not enough voters know who he is.
Thus, Mr. Tancredo is almost certainly not going to get elected President this time out. He is just too late, too underfunded at this point to make it to the Oval Office; the masses of voters probably won't find out who he is in time for him to get their votes.
At this point, the best we can hope for is for someone like Giuliani getting elected with Tancredo (hopefully) getting busy putting together a campaign for the 2012 election.

Now they will be at each others throats the instant we withdraw from that benighted land. The sunnis will ofcourse have the worst of it, and as will happen, the rest of the sunni world will flock to Iraq to help their brothers.
We are not just looking at a sunni-shia civil war in Iraq, but a general sunni-shia conflict in the ME - nukes in the offing as well. Sunni Pakistan has them, and Iran desperately needs them to offset the sunni nuke.

I think the second tier of candidates - Tancredo, Huckabee, Hunter et al - are vying for the VP part of the ticket. Those like Rudy who are vulnerable on the issue of immigration, courtesy sanctuary cities, might do themselves a big favor by picking Tancredo for VP. For Rudy, it would be a shot in the arm: the group he is weakest with is Conservatives, and no issue currently alienates them from the GOP than immigration, so if Tancredo is on the ticket, it ensures a solid GOP turnout for him - his divorces and abortion views notwithstanding.
Of the top tier candidates, Fred Thompson is too much of a flake, with his Spence Abraham appointment, and other dealings with pro-Islamic elements. Romney, despite making the right noises about Jihad, is said to be Bush's favorite candidate, and on FNC, did call for modernizing Islam, so he too slips some in my view. And McCain could well be Osama's handpicked candidate.
Like you, I too support Tancredo, but given the ground reality, I'll be happy if he's given the #2 slot.

I'm reading Ayaan Hirsi Ali's book, "Infidel". Here are a few quotes from her early months in the Netherlands, comparing Muslim and Western attitudes.
"All this time, I had mostly avoided other Somalis. . .These Somalis weren't integrating into Dutch society. They weren't working. (she does say some few did seek jobs, as she did) The others just chewed qat all night and sat around talking about how horrible Holland was.
We were all facing the same confusion. We had always been sure that we, as Muslims and Somalis, were superior to unbelievers, and here we were, not superior at all. . . Their reaction was to create a fantasy that they as Somalis knew better than these inferior white people. pythagoras: Agree with you that Tancredo has essentially the right message but he is not the right messsenger. Giuliani is the optimum choice at this time I believe. Truth takes a long time to manifest itself to the folks at large. The truth about Islam, which is that it is inimical to so much of what America and Western Civilization stand for (although the moral decay from within in the West is deplorable and due to a decided dearth of understanding that with freedom comes responsibility), is only slowly sinking into the body politic at large. Since Islam can't help but reveal its true nature in the long run, it is ironically the best weapon for those like us who know only too well its true purpose-------conquest of the earth in Allah's name, replete with all the oppressions one finds more or less in every Islamic society on earth. Many chapters of future American history have yet to unfold and a Giuliani Presidency would be "merely" the first among them. We are in a struggle to the death. Either the Mohammedan vision prevails or that of the Founding Fathers does. It's touch and go right now but I have no choice but to be cautiously optimistic that truth and freedom will win out in the end.
I still like Thompson. He refuses to play by the rules others are changing on whims. He clearly has a grasp of the threat we face and plays his cards close to his vest.
The main complaint I have with Tancredo is his big mouth. While attacks on Muslim holy sites might become necessary the stupidest thing you can do is broadcast such intentions publicly well before the fact. I suspect he was thinking aloud.
I keep my distance from people who think aloud...in public.

A Proposed Constitutional Amendment
Background and justification to Amendment 28
Whereas Religion is defined as an institution dedicated to improving social conscience and promoting individual and societal spiritual growth in a way that is harmless to others not participating in or practicing the same;
Whereas the United States of America was founded on the ideals of individual rights, including the individual right to practice one’s religion of choice, or no religion, and that there would be no compulsion of religion, nor state sanctioned religion, nor a “religious test” for participation in the body politic;
Whereas Islam includes a complete political and social structure, encompassed by its religious law, Sharia, that supersedes any civil law and that Islam mandates that no secular or democratic institutions are to be superior to Islamic law;
Whereas Islam preaches that it and it alone is the true religion and that Islam will dominate the world and supplant all other religions and democratic institutions;
Whereas Saudi Arabia, the spiritual home of Islam does not permit the practice of any other religion on its soil and even “moderate” Muslims states such as Turkey and Malaysia actively suppress other religions;
Whereas Islam includes as its basic tenet the spread of the faith by any and all means necessary, including violent conquest of non-believers, and demands of its followers that they implement violent jihad (holy war) against those un-willing to convert or submit to Islam, including by deception and subversion of existing institutions;
Whereas on 9/11/2001 19 Muslim hijackers acting in the name of Islam killed 3,000 Americans, and numerous other acts of terrorism have been directed at the American people around the world;
Whereas representatives of Islam around the world including Osama Bin Laden (architect of 9/11), the government of Iran including Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, HAMAS, Hezbollah, and other Islamic groups have declared jihad (war) on America, and regularly declare that America should cease to exist;
Whereas there is no organized Islamic opposition to violent proponents of Islam;
Therefore: Islam is not a religion, but a political ideology more akin to Fascism and totally in opposition to the ideals of freedom as described in the United States Constitution, especially the Bill of Rights.
Be it resolved that the following Amendment to the Constitution be adopted:
Article I
The social/political/ideological system known around the world as Islam is not recognized in the United States as a religion.
The practice of Islam is therefore not protected under the 1st Amendment as to freedom of religion and speech.
Article II
As representatives of Islam around the world have declared war, and committed acts of war, against the United States and its democratic allies around the world, Islam is hereby declared an enemy of the United States and its practice within the United States is now prohibited.
Article III
Immediately upon passage of this Amendment all Mosques, schools and Muslim places of worship and religious training are to be closed, converted to other uses, or destroyed. Proceeds from sales of such properties may be distributed to congregations of said places but full disclosure of all proceeds shall be made to an appropriate agency as determined by Congress. No compensation is to be offered by Federal or State agencies for losses on such properties however Federal funding is to be available for the demolishing of said structures if other disposition cannot be made.
The preaching of Islam in Mosques, Schools, and other venues is prohibited. The subject of Islam may be taught in a post high school academic environment provided that instruction include discussion of Islam’s history of violence, conquest, and its ongoing war on democratic and other non-Islamic values.
The preaching or advocating of Islamic ideals of world domination, destruction of America and democratic institutions, jihad against Judaism, Christianity and other religions, and advocating the implementation of Sharia law shall in all cases be punishable by fines, imprisonment, deportation, and death as prescribed by Congress. Violent expressions of these and other Muslim goals, or the material support of those both in the United States and around the world who seek to advance these Islamic goals shall be punishable by death.
Muslims will be denied the opportunity to immigrate to the United States.
Article IV
Nothing in this amendment shall be construed as authorizing the discrimination against, of violence upon, nor repudiation of the individual rights of those Americans professing to be Muslim. The individual right of conscience is sacrosanct and the practice of Islam within the privacy of home and self is strictly protected to the extent that such individuals do not violate the prohibitions described in Article III.

Towards a free and independant Iraq:
Proposal(may allah grant peace upon this proposal, mohammed too, and any imam reading this):
Expel rebellious sunnis to Saudi Arabia, rebellious shia to Iran, and dissatisfied Kurds to Turkey.
(Califatians can be retired to the Hindu Kush, or just retired).
Now would one want to live in a free and independant Iraq ? You bet. Can you imagine flying there for a gambling junket in Bagdad ? Why not ?
If one posits impractical and impossible solutions like defeat and isolationism, these other scenarios are just as reasonable.
