Gotta hand it to these people, they wrote the book on how to augment evil, even devising a clever method guaranteed to elicit their dark sides. Muslims have two dark sides; one is visible and one is latent. Ramadan is designed to merge them, creating "purified" evil. It's a great religious tradition, like jihad.

This is not true, I have first hand witnessed them harrasing people that looked like malays as some chinese or east malaysians (they look like malays but are christians).
Normally a group of around 10 members with police backup will enter a restaurant & demand the patrons to show an ID, In malaysia, your ID will state if you are "Islam".
By right, an individual does not need to show their ID to anyone unless requested by the police, in which the police will step in and arrest those who violated the fasting rule or anyone not cooperating with the religious department.
This started around 18 years ago, nothing new about this.
Also, in islam, it does not deny any muslims that are: 1) not well/in medication or /and 2) travelling on a different timezone basis to eat, openly or not.
This is every attempt of the religious authorities to gain power by intimidation & harassment. Theres no other way they have ever succeeded.
