What does this have to do with jihad? Here's what, from "Taxi 'Fear' Hike," by Jeremy Olshan for in the New York Post, September 4:
September 4, 2007 -- Fear and paranoia are driving the taxi strike planned for tomorrow and Thursday, industry sources said yesterday. The global-positioning systems being installed in all 13,000 cabs will be used to target and spy on Muslims, according to pro-strike literature being distributed by members of the New York Taxi Workers Alliance, the group behind the two-day walkout.
"This is where deep racial, ethnic and religious prejudices and biases come into play," one flier reads. "DNA samples are obtained, scrutinized and archived. Personal and family histories are scoured for evidence of ethnic and religious fervor. Clearly, surveillance technology can be a death sentence once you are in its crosshairs."
But they didn't win this one: "NYC cabbies lose court battle over GPS," by Larry Neumeister for Associated Press:
NEW YORK - A federal judge refused Friday to block a new city rule that requires taxi drivers to install global positioning systems and credit card machines in their cabs by Monday. The drivers argue that the city overstepped its authority and acted unconstitutionally when it mandated the units. Their lawsuit also claims GPS will give away trade secrets by disclosing the cabbies' driving patterns, which they say give them a competitive edge.
U.S. District Judge Richard M. Berman refused to block the rule from taking effect, saying the use of the technology to improve taxi service appeared to outweigh drivers' privacy rights. He urged the two sides to negotiate and set the next hearing for Oct. 10.
More evidence of the paranoia of Muslims!
They can always quit their taxi jobs and go back to Mecca.
They'd feel safer there only being watched 24/7 by the religious police, I'm sure.
How do you say Adios! in Arabic?
Actually, every Muslim in the U.S. should be required to have a tracking device implanted in them. There should be no pretenses or excuses about it. The government should state very clearly that Muslims have proven to be a threat to every Western society they've lived in, and it's only natural for a nation to protect itself and its people.
"Their lawsuit also claims GPS will give away trade secrets by disclosing the cabbies' driving patterns, which they say give them a competitive edge."
This statement is hilarious.
Pity we don't have them in Europe. Might put a spoke in the wheels of Muslim cabdrivers acting as bounty hunters tracking down errant Muslimahs.
An unofficial Muttawa, if you like.
This is a free country. If you don't like your job, leave it and get another.
It's interesting to note that once Muslims are in a free society, they are constantly fighting for their "rights". In an Islamic state, they do noting and murmur "Inshallah" when hideous violations of basic human rights are carried out under sharia law.
Nothing about dogs or alcohol? Or have they successfully seethed their way on that already and we just didn't hear about it.
Anyway. What kind of moron thinks the OWNER of the company he works for has no right to know the whereabouts of his OWN vehicles and equipment? Three guesses!

Shhhh. We've already implanted the tracking devices in every Muslim in the U.S. It also transmits their every thought (including all their secret taxi-driving methodologies) to our recording devices. I hope they don't find out about this Tip Top Secret program, or the fact that these devices have a limited range and only work inside the U.S. If they leave the U.S., our tracking devices will no longer monitor them.
Huh. Muslims lost another court battle to impose their way of life on us? When all the bluster and bravado threatening and posturing are done, they got nothin'. If we just don't give up and give in, we'll do fine.
special_guest,

Yeah, we'll do fine until muslims become judges.

Meanwhile in Styria, Austria, Muslim taxi drivers are scratching out the crosses which feature in
Styria's emblem on the vehicles's number plate.
Their lawsuit also claims GPS will give away trade secrets by disclosing the cabbies' driving patterns, which they say give them a competitive edge.
Like OmegaMan said.. LOL
Their driving patterns are designed to put more money on the meter. I know how they get pissed off when you give them PRECISE instructions on how to get you from A to B. They sure hate their cheating driving patterns messed with. LOL
I recommend using a car service instead. They have clean, comfortable black towncars and the fare is about the same as a yellow cab.
Best of all.. NO moslem drivers! Never :-)
You should ask the dispatcher how much the fare is before you take the car. Usually the driver will quote you a dollar or two less than the dispatcher's quote. If he charges you more you tell the driver the dispatcher's quote.
I've only had to do this a couple of times and I've been taking these cars for years.
NOT having to sit in the cramped rear of a smelly yelly [-cab] and NOT having to look at a hack license with the most disgusting name known to Man: "Mahomet" printed on it: PRICELE$$!!
If they leave the U.S., our tracking devices will no longer monitor them.

Warning to the musels: Germany and France have these tracking devices installed already. And I hear England is next.
Serbia has improved on the design, causing the tracking devices to blow up inside the body. Likna like Escape from New York.
Any musels coming to Europe: BAD IDEA!
What do DNA samples have to do with GPS? Who is taking DNA samples (my guess is nobody)?
All foreigners entering the US, must now submit to fingerprinting at the border. During this procedure, when the fingers of the left hand are placed on the digital "fingerprint" recorder, there is also a sensor to detect traces of feces under the fingernails. If left-hand fingernails have the tell-tale traces of feces, the foreigner is designated as a Muslim and will be monitored by the CIA during their stay.
Most Muslims are not aware of this secret program.
good thing sanity prevails. Your religion does not allow you to dictate your working terms. If there is a conflict, one will have to give. You either stay true to your religion and get another job, or you do what the guy who is paying you says.
AWww, poor hidden agendas...can't get away with milking the system, nefarious deeds or just plain slacking off...and especially can't get away with transporting wares & people of dubious means off the clock without someone knowing about it.
*tsk* *tsk*
...and the air violin plays on...
"This is where deep racial, ethnic and religious prejudices and biases come into play," one flier reads. "DNA samples are obtained, scrutinized and archived. I find this so ironic and phony. Look at Muslim countries: one of the most striking aspects of Muslim countries (particularly Arabs) is their lack of ethnic diversity and where it does exist, the ethnic minorities are treated like helots (Saudi Arabia, e.g.) or persecuted. There is even a tendency to genocide (Armenians, Kurds, Negro Africans in Darfur) in Muslim societies. There is more contact (based on equality) among Muslims in the US than in any Muslim country. Can anyone imagine Somalis being allowed to settle permanently in Saudi Arabia? No way.
Islam is a fraud on race/ethnicity as in so many other things. What they say is not what they do. Deception is Islam's internal contradiction.
More propaganda from the religion of deception. That's all.
I've never posted here before, but this one provoked me.
I'm a New Yorker, and I think these people are behaving more like cabbies than muslims. Fifty or sixty years ago their Irish predescessors would have resented a device that tracked their every move! Not wanting your boss to know what's really going on is as American as apple pie.
There is also a question about how credit cards will affect the amount customers will tip.
That too sounds like a very American concern.
If I were a Cabbie, I would welcome the GPS unit.... and a panic switch located near my left foot.
Think about it. This is also a matter of safety. If they have a dangerous passenger that is maybe trying to rob them or hijack their car, they can hit the panic switch which would relay their location every 30-60 seconds back to HQ (as well as an emergency signal).
Most GPS' squawk a few times every second, so it'd be a lot more accurate...critical in times where seconds count, like crimes against cabbies, as well as transporting something really nasty...like WMDs.
