Two hundred is troubling enough, but one also can't help but recall how the estimate of 1600 "extremists" in the entire United Kingdom quickly went to 2000 and beyond.

Unlike those behind the attempted bombing of Glasgow Airport, Mohammed Atif Siddique was born and raised in Scotland. He attended mosques in Glasgow, Stirling and Alloa and his religious education was the same as any young Muslim growing up here could expect to receive.
The question facing community leaders now is: if Siddique could become so radicalised, could others? A study published recently by the Council of British Pakistanis in Scotland found that half the country's 31 mosque leaders thought extremist behaviour existed here, with the "vast majority" citing the UK Government's foreign policy as the reason.
And that assertion is accepted uncritically. But many Anglicans, Quakers, Buddhists, atheists, and so on, also disagree with British foreign policy. What keeps them from setting off bombs?
Security sources claimed yesterday there may be up to 200 other radicalised young Muslims in Scotland. But the Crown Office and Central Scotland Police went out of their way to stress that Siddique had been prosecuted as an individual for criminal acts, and that the case did not reflect on the wider Muslim community.
Muslim leaders who spoke to The Herald defended the reputation of Scottish mosques - the majority of which are Sunni - as liberal and moderate. Unlike some English mosques which have earned a reputation for radicalism, notably Finsbury Park in London where Abu Hamza gave sermons supporting terrorism, Scotland's mosques are not home to radical preachers or group meetings, they said.
Bashir Maan, chairman of Glasgow Central Mosque, said Siddique's was an isolated case which illustrated the dangers posed by extremist websites. Young people with access to computers could become influenced "anywhere in the world", Mr Maan said, comparing the dangers posed by extremists to that of paedophiles who groomed children via the web.
However, while Scotland's mosques have not been criticised for radicalising their members, prominent Scottish Muslims said not enough had been done to combat radicalism.
Naeem Raza, a consultant who advises and trains companies on understanding and dealing with Muslim communities, said there was "no evidence" that any mosques or formalised Islamic groups were spreading a jihadi message in Scotland.
But he said there was an attitude of "let's not talk about it" when it came to radical politics. The result, he said, was that young people in danger of being radicalised did not have an open forum in which to discuss political issues and be dissuaded from pursuing extremism.
Yes, facing the issue head-on would be a welcome change. But true progress would require the community to look inward, rather than blaming external factors as the fundamental cause of jihadist violence.
"Invariably, those who become radicalised will have been convinced by someone with a higher level of Islamic knowledge than them. It may not be correct, but it is more informed," said Mr Raza.
As usual, the texts themselves couldn't possibly be problematic.

Amanullah De Sondy, a divinity lecturer at Glasgow University, said Muslims were still "ghettoised" in Scotland, making them more vulnerable to radicalisation. "Why do people use this phrase Scottish Muslims'? Why not just Scots?" he asked. "Too many Muslims have two hats. One hat they wear when talking to people in the mosque, another when talking to people outside."
Indeed, but we have seen with the Doctor's Jihad Plot and other incidents that being well integrated into Western culture does not rule out the jihadist impulse, either.
Ah yes, the canard that ghettoization engenders radicalization and terrorism. Why, those tenement Jews and Italians of the Lower East Side were renowned for their suicide bombings, honor killings and refusal to assimilate. Why do the bien-pensant steadfastly refuse to look at the ideology of Muslims that make them qualitatively different from all other immigrants?
I surmise these numbers -- "200 radicalised young Muslims in Scotland" -- 2000 in all of the UK -- all of it is just a wobbly kneed attempt to keep the lid on the truth. I surmise that this estimate only includes the jackboots -- the Muslim stormtroopers -- the ones who are actually prepared and planning on bombing, slicing, and poisoning.
The UK authorities are unwilling to tell the truth to The People of the UK -- those who love or want to preserve the UK -- for the truth of the matter is that the number of "radicalized Muslims" who all out support, fund, and abet these 2000 putative mass murderers probably number in the hundreds of thousands, if not the millions.
While the politicians play their fiddles, and attempt to keep a thousand little insurrections from breaking out -- the conflagration of Islam is spreading and growing in intensity. With every birth of another Muslim baby, with every building of another Mosque -- with every handout to another Muslim immigrant, the situation for the Muslims improves, and the situation for the real citizens of the UK deteriorates proportionately.

The lack of cooperation and active spying on fellow radical Muslims is a sign of sympathy for Islamic terrorism within the Muslim community. If there was a widespread KKK movement in the USA and the CIA wanted me to spy on them, I'd do it free of charge. I'd want to destroy this perversion of Christianity.
Why Muslims are not lining up to be translators or posting translation of these "two hat" mosque views leads me to believe that they sympathize or in the least they choose loyalty to their twisted co-religionists over basic human dignity. If this is true, and I think it is, Islam is the most racist (I know it is a misnomer) and hateful religion on earth. Indeed, it should be categorized as a hate religion and should be opposed by all people of good will.
For Muslims reading this, I ask you to ponder why there is no significant and active reaction to protect the human dignity of non-Muslims against your co-religionists? Why don't you care enough to act in significant numbers beyond a few individuals or a small organized parade with speeches that "you are really a religion of peace". Protect us non-believers against widespread Jihadism or we must conclude you don't really see it as a concern. If you are not concerned and your presence in Western society allows for Jihadism to hide amongst you, then please realize that unless you act the only course of action for the West is capitulation or expulsion. I'd rather live with you peacefully, however if it comes to protecting my family and liberal culture and religious freedom, I'm willing to support a "renounce Islam or be expelled" campaign." Unless Muslims expose the truth within their religion, sadly I see no other course of action.

Just contemplating the fact that Islam exists in Scotland is depressing. Scotland, for Christ's sake! Robert the Bruce and Walter Scott must be turning over in their graves. What's next? Iceland? My Scottish relatives tell me that political correctness and multiculti fever have infected Scotland too, and some natives are useful idiots extraordinare. I haven't been there since May of 2001 and everything seemed normal to me then, but I wasn't really looking for muslims. I guess they were there, but I didn't notice them. I had hoped maybe Scotland would be spared the plague of islam, but I should have known better. I plan to visit next summer, before Scotland as I know it is gone forever. Of all the places in the world, why Scotland?!

Another little problem that has to be explained is the improbability of one being able to pronounce the word ‘Loch’ properly. The emphasis is on the ‘ch’ and if you pronounce it ‘Lock’ then you’re stuffed! I’m sure my Scottish counterparts will also agree that one should also be fully conversant on the family heritage of ‘The Broons’ and ‘Oor Wullie’ and it’s perhaps an advantage to have been seen to shed a tear during Grayfiers Bobby, this being extremely unlikely for a Muslim considering it’s a film about a poor wee dog. Stuffed again!

I don't know why, because I've never been there, but that is just exactly what I thought, on reading this article.
Okay, now that I've read through the other posts as well, I understand why the thought of a Scottish Mohammedan sets my teeth on edge.

The situation in Scotland is indeed dire. 200 jihadists is not surprising considering the scale of immigration from radicalized Pakistan and the Middle east. A country which had a registered muslim population of 42500 in 2001, totalling less than 1% now has a conservatively estimated 2-3 %. A laissez - faire immigration policy towards the "muslim community" permits arranged marriages, family repatriation and easily obtained visas - direct flights to Islamabad are now frequent. Fertility rate amongst muslims is 3 times higher than the indigenous population. The demographics alone look bleak. A trebling or even doubling of the muslim population every 6 years does not bode well for the future existence of this country at least under a christian, north European auspice.
The other important fact is the application of multi-culturism and political correctness which serves to elevate and amplify the difference rather than promote integration and assimilation. The resulting muslim ghetto's , or the large clusters of muslims congregating at the fringes of the cities. Parts of the south side of the principle city, Glasgow are now "no go" areas. The once tightly cohesive communities built up through toil and industry are being torn up in the face of diversity and multi-culturism. The PC policing now allows muslim drug gangs to operate unfettered.
The increasingly violent and frequent murders , kidnapping and gang rapes ( the latter a reflection of the low status women have in islam) go under reported by the media because it doesn’t fit in with the “one Scotland many cultures” message the PC industry promotes. The PC lobby and politicians try to paint a picture of togetherness but the facts do not tally.
(1) The first racially motivated murder in Scotland by 5 muslim thugs on an innocent 15 yr old Scots boy.
(2) The first terrorist incident in Scotland , commited by 2 immigrant muslim suicide bombers. Incalculable numbers of deaths averted by alert airport workers.
(3) The first Member of Parliament probably in the whole of Europe , to resign after death threats from the "muslim" community.
(4) The first "home grown Scot" muslim convicted of terrorism charges.
(5) The first time a Scottish court was adjourned to allow an alleged terrorist and witnesses to celebrate a religious festival ( Islamic eid ) (– should be in dhimmi watch)
The political situation is no better. All three political parties are left of centre and not one ever mentions the muslim or immigration word. Indeed the muslim vote has been courted as the devious politicians are well aware of demographics and block voting.
A new law has been passed which criminalises “racism” . The effect can be compared to sex in the Victorian era where the mere mention of the word in public was taboo. In today’s climate, mentioning the “M” ot “I” is tantamount to racist or xenophobia .
The police say the new law will be “vigourously enforced and to the full extent of the law”, some say to the detriment of regular policing.
