PESHAWAR, Pakistan - Suspected Islamic militants beheaded two women accused of prostitution in northwestern Pakistan, police said Friday, in the latest case of Taleban-style justice in the region.
The bodies of the women in their 40s were dumped on the outskirts of the conservative town of Bannu, near the Afghan border, a day after they were abducted by gunmen, district police officer Dar Ali Khattak.
Pro-Taleban militants in Pakistan’s North West Frontier Province and its lawless tribal areas bordering Afghanistan are waging a violent campaign for the introduction of strict Sharia law.
A note left with the corpses accused the women of being involved in prostitution with the support of local officials, and warned others like them that they would be punished in the same way, Khattak told AFP.
Investigations were underway but it appeared that local militants who have been blamed for a string of attacks on pro-government tribal elders and alleged spies for US forces in Afghanistan were responsible, he said.
‘It is the first ever murder case where women were beheaded by suspected militants,’ Khattak added.
"'A note left with the corpses accused the women of being involved in prostitution with the support of local officials, and warned others like them that they would be punished in the same way,' Khattak told AFP."
I guess it would impertinent to ask the fate of the "local officials".

I can just imagine how many of these women fell into prostitution willingly and without the help of their local males and especially male relatives.The stigma associated with it in islamic society alone would ensure that these women were driven ito it by beatings or starvation, or both.

I imagine these women had lost their husbands and were forced into prostitution to feed themselves and their children. This happened in Afghanistan under the Taliban, where women had no education or training for any kind of job.....what else did they have to offer but their bodies?
What happened to their clients? Surely they deserve the same punishment? Yeah right.
But, but....islam and Christianity are so alike we are always told...why didn't they heed the words of one of their prophets, Jesus, "Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone"...
It's almost as if they have some fanatical, violent, vengeful lunatic as a role model (for all eternity).
I doubt that these women were even prostitutes. They were probably beheaded to settle some score between tribes or families. It mentioned that they were in their 40's. Does anyone remember the follow-up photo of the Afghani woman, at age 29, who had been photographed as a child by the National Geographic photographer? As a young adult, she looked 70, and the only recognizable feature in her wrinkled face were those famous green-gold eyes. These women were 10 years older than the Afghani woman; they probably looked 80, hardly offering themselves as fresh, uncovered meats as Naseem likes to reference. Islam is a cruel, bleak religion, especially for women, children and animals. Unfortunately, it is also a religion with no exit visas. May those two poor souls rest in peace.

I am sure these women probably refused their husbands from having wife #4635463. So, the Islamo-nazis justified their killings with the Koran.
But the interesting thing is that Muhammad himself allowed for prostitution ("Nikah al-muta3"). Usually, when such a shamefull event is reported to the Muslims, the learned ones quickly reply "Ohh but it was forbiden after the batle of Badr" (or some other battle). But this doesn't change the fact that Muhammad allowed their men to "marry a women" and then divorce her 15 minutes later, compensating her with a garment or something like that.
Having that in mind, who is the Muslim to speak about morality, when their own prophet, the founder of Islam, was the most immoral man who ever claimed to be a prophet?
Anyway, I am sure that these poor women were totally innocent of their accusations. They were killed for some other reason.
Notice that they were accused of being prostituties. Nothing was proven............I guess you only need to accuse people in "Islamic justice".

Just think what we have to look forward to if we don't get off our butts and protect the Constitution from being replaced with Sharia law. Why Muslims don't get that "innocent until proven guilty" is preferable to their way of doing things on any given day, is beyond me. What is the big payoff? I mean, if EVERYONE was living as miserably as they do in their self-imposed prisons with the harsh corporal punishment, who would benefit? There must be some sort of plan for one guy or a handful of guys to be running the show once they make all the inhabitants of the earth bend their knees to Allah.
I can't imagine that many people would give into this way of life freely if they had a choice, (not including all the idiots who grew up in Ohio or Illinois or Idaho who would do anything not to honor the Christian religion in which they've been brought up.) Perhaps that is the way we should couch the question: Would you prefer to live in a free society where men and women are treated equally, innocent until proven guilty and with equal protection under the law? Or would you prefer to live under Islamic Sharia, where you can lose a hand, a foot or a head depending on which way the wind is blowing and on how Abdullah or Muhammad are feeling on any particular day (like whether they got any that day or not.) Yuck.
