Not so fast. Madrid bomb mastermind acquitted.

To quote Hugh, that is an ambiguous statement, that can be interpreted in different ways by different groups.

Going through the list of the 21 convicted I found these three Spaniards - Jose Emilio Suarez Trashorras, Sergio Alvarez Sanchez, Antonio Ivan Reis.

The first guy was the ex-miner who supplied the explosives. Not details on the other two.

Are these people "reverts"? Not judging by their names. Are they leftist sympathisers? Or are they just anti-social malcontents attracted by the idea of terrorist mass murder?

I'd like to know their motivation. If its either the latter two, then it marks a dangerous new pattern for what, so far, have been attacks carried out entirely by Muslims.

The far left and Islam are in an unholy alliance. Its really possible they helped the jihadists without converting.

Its possible but odds are they are recent converts. They are the real danger the newly converted. If you are born a Muslim, you dont know any better. For a Westerner, especially a woman, you have to have some serious mental issues.

I heard the the former miner exchanged explosives for drugs. My source was NPR, so caveat emptor.

I am waiting for the American Left and the ACLU to start chanting "Free the Fort Dix Six". I remember the slogan following the US Democratic Party Convention (1968), "Free the Chicago Seven". More recently, "Free the Jeena Six".

he never warned the FBI before the attack so he was part of this group. but he got 5 years? prolly out in 2 half yrs.

I am waiting for the ACLU to charge that Abdullahu confessed as a result of "torture" or waterboarding. Maybe he plead guilty only after they offered him a free ticket home to Kosovo.

Saudi Arabia should be sued for reparations for this attack, Bali, London, and of course 9/11, among others. Several trillion in victim compensation and societal compensation for trauma and security expenses. Failure to comply would be cause for forced reparations (i.e. war). Sounds fair to me...

I think it is the muslims that need to attend these trainings sessions and not us Westerners.
