Tehran, 28 Sept.(AKI) - A court in the Iran's second largest city, Mashad, has sentenced to death by stoning a mother-of-three for having an extra-marital affair, an Iranian newspaper reported Friday.The daily Quds said the married woman's lover had confessed to having had sex with her and that the court sentenced him to 100 lashes.
There are currently eight women in Iranian prisons waiting to be executed by stoning, a practice usually reserved for those found guilty of adultery according to the Islamic republic's laws.
Good thing she isn't gay, too.
Then they'd have to stone her while she was hanging.
But, with 1350 years of practice, they're probably pretty good at that, also.
He gets a hundred lashes and she gets a stoning.

Having an affair in the U.S. leads to divorce. Having an affair in Iran leads to condescending withholding of compassion, terror induced mind fucking, and ridicule while you die a slow and painful death.
What is she going through right now? What are her kids going through right now? Adultery might be a bitter pill for a family to swallow but does it mean this woman is completely worthless with no merit at all? She made a mistake and in an Islamic country would probably lose her children before her life. Is this how we want to live here in America? And is this woman a lost cause with no hope because she lives in Iran?

And you can bet an adulterer can survive 100 lashes, as the male administering said lashes probably doesn't think the lashee is nearly as guilty as the adulteress, because after all, every time a man falls into a sexual sin, it's because the woman enticed him and he couldn't help himself.

The stonings and hangings in Iran are part of the Sharia that CAIR, MSA, and ISNA (among many others) want to impose on us via legal intimidation, subversion of Western democracy, and demography.
In the long run, Muslim babies and Muslim-initiated lawsuits are every bit as dangerous as Muslim bullets and bombs.

"extra-marital affair" has often translated into "she got raped, so it's her fault".
....with the many cases of Muslim adultry appearing .....one has to wonder if Muslims have difficulty is doing things on the LO LO...(secretly and telling no one)....however in Islam societies everyone is a spy willing to be the informer....maybe the informer gets to throw the first stone....or maybe the members of Islamic society just love to see the blood flow (as long as it isn't their own)....Muslims really do enjoy violence...they prove it every day...

I agree! I will say however that there is a Culture of Relativism that says: Well I don't like this but if they "think" that is okay then why should we say anything.
This sort of scandelous behaviour is accepted via proxy, not by a mojority, but though that culture. There are no absolutes in Relativism... Therefore no acceptance of: "thou shall not commit adultry"
When the topic is brought up, it is perseved that the person is a bigot, hypacrit or "hollier the thou"...
And of course some "pious muslims" will try to use that against that evil west and USA.

Wasn't there an example of a pregnant woman (not married) coming to Mohammed for justice. Mo says, wait until the baby is born and then kill the woman. That's what happened.

Celsius...that's our Mohammad, kind up to the very end. Saving a baby's life at great risk to his own. Killing the mother 'after' the baby was born is the kindest of acts. Mohammad's life was full of such kindnesses. Rescuing this baby from a life of the most hideous materialism, mothers milk, a mothers touch, a mothers voice, a mothers love, was typical of Mohammad's kindness, he did lots of rescue work like that. If all the 'kill them with kindness' acts of Mohammad were known, they would fill large books.
Let's not forget that Iranian Islamic practice of two people marrying for a shag, and then having that marriage erased an hour later. This is called Islamic sense.

Stoning is a practice Jesus famously condemned two thousand years ago.
And there is a particularily vicious passage recorded in the Hadith where an adulterous couple were brought before Mohammed. The Jewish leaders planned to "announce their crime and lash them". Mohammed castigates the Jews for their mercy, and points out that the Torah mandates stoning.
The Jewish leaders were so loath to impose this penalty that they try to conceal the passage. Mohammed discovers their deception and insists that the couple be stoned to death.
This is presented as an example of Mohammed's commitment to justice. The Jews' reluctance to impose such a hideous penalty on the pair is not seen as mercy, or enlightenment. Mohammed exclaims, "Woe to you Jews! What has induced you to abandon the judgement of God?"
Mohammed ordered the couple to be stoned to death; another Muslim remembered, "I saw the man leaning over the woman to shelter her from the stones."
Even though it is in no way meant to be sympathetic, I consider the above passage to be the most piteous and touching thing I have read in any Islamic text. It breaks my heart.
Stoning was something no longer practiced by Jews or Christians *fourteen centuries ago*. And yet it is the law of the land in "modern" Iran.
And these are the people we are supposed to be negotiating with.
