Two people have been killed and at least 10 injured in Afghanistan after gunmen opened fire in a mosque during prayers in a province bordering Kabul.In a separate incident, also near the capital, a mullah was shot dead.
The mosque shooting took place in Wardak province which borders Kabul. A police chief said around 10 gunmen entered the building in Abad district.
They opened fire, killing two people and injuring others including a boy. Police are trying to find a motive.
Abducted
But it does not appear to be any kind of tribal or local dispute, and the Taleban are suspected to be responsible.
In neighbouring Logar province on Tuesday night the Afghan interior ministry said a mullah on his way home from prayers was abducted and then shot a number of times.
He died of his injuries.
Attacks on religious figures, especially against those perceived to be pro-government, have increased over the past year.
I thought a mullah was a Shiite thing?
Aren't the Afghans from the sunny side of the street?

..........those who "worship" in them. What a surprise. But the media is probably working on a way to blame the US right at this moment.
...evidently the Muslims were:
a) Not praying hard enough
b) praying too hard
c) praying for the wrong things
d) Praying incorrectly
e) believing they were safe in a mosque
f) telling the attackers " hey the infidels are found outside the mosque"
g) telling the attackers "My Islam is better than yours"
h) having difficulty understanding that the infidels may be correct is claiming Islam is a thrill kill machine.
i) finally realizing that Islam is not all it is cracked up to be....

Now you'll get to see how we feel. The "tiny minority of extremists" (even if true, that is dozens of millions) will be coming for you too. Can you blame a poor infidel for eyeing ALL muslims with suspicion? Never know which muslim we're going to get.

One gets the feeling that Islam is really an eternal pissing contest. They keep disagreeing and killing, disagreeing and killing. Eventually they are down to the Top Two murderers, with the victor being declared King of the Muslims.
You couldn't make this stuff up.

More evidence that the best way to Islam is destroyed is to ban Muslim immigration. If they stay amongst themselves and have no infidel to kill, they will destroy each other. Islam gone. World sighs relief.
Why does anybody call muslim clerics "religious figures"? How about "righteous felons", that sounds more accurate.
