'Islamophobia' Used to Crush Muslim Dissent, Panel Says

An anti-dhimmi panel in Washington speaks truth to power. By Nathan Burchfiel for CNSNews (thanks to Twostellas):

(CNSNews.com) - Muslim extremists are branding opponents "Islamophobes" in an effort to paint themselves as the victim and silence dissent and opposition to their political and religious beliefs, according to a panel convened in Washington, D.C., Tuesday.

"'Islamophobia' has become ... the new battleground in this war" on terrorism, Anne Bayefsky, a senior fellow at the conservative Hudson Institute, said at the panel discussion.

She said the term "inverts victim and perpetrator" by portraying Islamic fanatics as the victim, thus allowing them to label dissent as a violation of human rights and, in effect, silence dissent.

The Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) at the United Nations has been lobbying hard for bans against "Islamaphobia, which are "tantamount to blasphemy strictures that have been used to curtail freedoms of expression, press, and religion by some of the OIC's most repressive member states," noted the Hudson Institute in its preview to the panel discussion.

The term "Islamaphobia" will be a major focus of the 2009 U.N. World Conference on Racism in Durban, South Africa.

Bayefsky said the goal of conference organizers, including Libya, Cuba and Iran, is to "deflect attention from the human rights abuses" and "to circle the wagons, to invoke mass hysteria, to suggest to people that they are under threat, which is in fact imaginary."

She said that by labeling themselves victims of Islamophobia, leaders of Islamic regimes can justify harsh crackdowns on internal dissent and legitimize calls for similar crackdowns on outside criticism - such as calls for the punishment of cartoonists who depict the Muslim prophet Mohammed.

"If you can claim the other guy is the human rights violator," Bayefsky said, "if you become the victim of racism and Islamophobia, then you justify the so-called struggle against the enemy of human rights."

Precisely.

Islamaphobia is a tool used to blame the victims of jihad for more jihad.

Ironic that Muslims accuse others of violating human rights.

OIC should change its name to OINC-Organization of Islamic Nazis Conference. That would be more fitting for its agenda.

By the way, I wonder if there will be any counter protests at the 2009 "anti-racism" conference(better known as the US/Israel Bashfest)? I didn't think so. No doubt every moonbat under the rocks will be scrimping and saving to make the sacred pilgimmage there too-lest they be left out.

They do it here in the states too. No one likes being called a racist so its an intimidation tactic. Like being called a racist for opposing illegal immigration or afirmitive action. Never mind the fact that Islam isnt a friggin race to begin with

It's the "blasphemy" tag that makes "Islamaphobia" into an INTERNAL religious label, and not a universal principle of human rights. It ranks with heresy and apostasy punishments endemic to Islam, but this has no bearing on how the free world views religious beliefs.

We are free to believe what we will, but we are not free to impose our belief on anyone else. Contrast this to the Islamists who feel they MUST impose their belief on everyone else. So for them to brand us with "blasphemy" when we criticize their supremacist and coercive belief system, in their minds, automatically paints us as "Islamaphobes", which is wrong thinking. They are free to coerce their own men and women of their faith, if that is their modus operandi, but they are not free to coerce us with their supremacist ideology, and then claim victimhood. This invert logic of theirs makes their criticism of our criticism label of "Islamaphobia" absurd. We are not phobic of Islam, but we stand in opposition to their supremacist coercions of our beliefs, which are a threat to our freedoms.

Islam can practice whatever vile tactics it wants to use on its populations, and we will call them on such violations of universal human rights, but they may not use their hysterical "blasphemy" laws on us. We are not "Islamaphobic", and they are not the victims, except of their own oppressions and tyrannies, which if spread into the free world makes us victims of the same. Their invert logic does not work on us. Islamapobia is entirely an Islamic internal paranoia.

Durban of course, was the site of a similar conference in August, 2001 which quickly degenerated into anti-Semitic hatred.

Islam is not a race and more than 75Pct. of it is not of a religious nature, but a political ideology. This becomes especially true after Mohammed takes his little tribe of followers from Mecca after preaching there for nearly 13 years and then travels to Medina where he raises an army and then begans his violent jihad journey that is reminicent of an Adolf Hitler,Ghengis Khan, Stalin and many more power hungry ditators that have trampled on the planet.

Right you are, Mackie. We must continue to point out that islam is a belief-system, not a RACE. WE should not allow the opposition to try to mau-mau us into silence by making our battle a racial one.

'Islamophobia' is a new word to describe an attitude that is as old as Islam itself. The first 'Islamophobes' were the Arabians who refused to acknowledge Mohammad's claim to prophethood. Taking Mohammad's warfare against them into account, they had good reason for their aversion to Islam.

Wherever Muslims settle in a new society in sufficiently large numbers, a section of that population will never be happy unless they are making a nuisance of themselves toward everyone else. The Persians, Byzantines, Hindus, Buddhists and Chinese discovered this. The latter were more successful in dealing with the problem than the others.

Muslims could enjoy a good life in the West were it not for the fact that their religion is driven by fundamentalists inspired by hatred towards all 'infidels'.

I saw it, StillBreathing.

My God. They are forcing the Christian teachers to dress like Muslims. There are no words to express the horror. I know I say this not being one who has to do it (dress like a Muslim) - but, I would quit any job that would force such an abomination upon me. It's beyond insane.

This is about the only subject I've been thinking about for a year now. Orwell and Mill are good for quotes.

Excellent. Time to put an end to the taqiya and say publicly what most infidels tell each other privately.

TRUTHophobia = fear of being exposed.

Don’t stare at Muslims says advice to schools
Jason Allardyce and Abul Taher

PUPILS and teachers have been told by an official body not to stare at Muslims for fear of causing offence.

A document intended to educate against religious intolerance and sectarianism urges teachers to “make pupils aware of the various forms of Islamophobia, ie stares, verbal abuse, physical abuse”.

But Learning Teaching Scotland (LTS), which issued the advice to schools north of the border, has been criticised by politicians and Muslim leaders for going “over the top”.

The document states: “Some Muslims may choose to wear clothing or display their faith in a way that makes them visible. For example, women may be wearing a headscarf, and men might be wearing a skullcap. Staring or looking is a form of discrimination as it makes the other person feel uncomfortable, or as though they are not normal.”

Osama Saeed, a spokesman for the Muslim Association of Britain, accused officials of going too far. “There are far more serious elements of Islamophobia. People look at all sorts of things that can just be a glance. A glance and a stare are two different things glances happen naturally when all sorts of things catch your eye whereas a stare is probably gawking at something.

“Personally I have not encountered much of a problem with people staring. I don’t know how you legislate for that.”

Murdo Fraser, deputy leader of the Scottish Conservatives, said: “In a multicultural society like ours there are people with all different forms of dress and I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect children in particular to look at those who are differently dressed from them. To describe this as a form of discrimination seems to go completely over the top.”

Meanwhile, a survey of London’s Muslims shows that more of them identify with Britain than do the majority population. The Gallup poll, which is part of the biggest global survey of Muslims, shows 57% of Muslims identified with Britain as their home, compared with 48% of the rest of the population.

The poll also found that 74% of Muslims believe they are loyal to Britain and 78% of Muslims said they had confidence in Britain’s police force a higher proportion than the rest of the population.

The survey shows 67% of Muslims have confidence in the judicial system and 73% believe in the British democratic process. This compares with 55% and 60% respectively among the general public.

When I was growing up, we were told that to stare at anyone was impolite. But we were never told not to look at someone!

"Some muslims may CHOOSE to wear clothing..." Kinda like some people may choose to sport piercings, get obvious tattoos, or dress in a sexually provocative way. It always makes me grin, when people go out of their way to be attention whores, then get an attitude when attention actually comes their way. They can all suck it.

On Islamophobia

Truth shines a light
on the web of deceit,
the lies lay heavy
on the karmic scale,
the pitiful pretending,
the unending drivel,
the threats and the bullying,
the thefts and the rapes,
the murder and the blood,
the dregs of humanity is Islam.

And, once again, the passive-aggressiveness of Islamists, which is both a conscious strategy and a subconscious malady (because at the same time as playing it up they really believe it).

Me victim. You Islamophobe.

Me blow you up.
