Wonder what CBS in memo is about?

Robert,
Clearly this must be a forgery. Don't you know that CAIR had nothing to do with the "Holy Land" Foudnation? Heck, they weren't even indicted in that case, mate!!

Stop being an islamophobe!

Caught Being Sneaky

Crusader Bashing Slushfund

CAIR Buys Shoebombs

CAIR Buys Scimitars

Christians Belong Somewhere else

Carry Bombs Stealthily

Christians/Copts/Crusader Be Scared!

So HLF fund terrorists along with "unindicted co-conspirators" who are also appear to be terrorist front groups ...

... what a surprise!!!

I still like my old favorite:
communist broadcasting system
lol

The funding trail supporting psychological operations as part of unrestricted warfare where anything can be turned into a weapon.

...a picture is worth 1000 words and ....wasn't Dan Rather there at the time.....yep..

I am sorry for having to ask this.

What is the significance of the cheque?

This is very disturbing. I grew up in Richardson, TX. and my mom still lives there. It is not a Dearborn. It's not the place I'd think they'd find too many jihadist. It's the birth place of Beevis and Buthead for petesake.

From tommylotto:" I grew up in Richardson, TX. and my mom still lives there. It is not a Dearborn. It's not the place I'd think they'd find too many jihadist. It's the birth place of Beevis and Buthead for petesake."

Oh, LO friggin'L. Post of the week.

....why does HLF (supplier of funds to terrorist organizations like HAMAS) pay CAIR (extremely sympathetic to Terrorist organizations) thousands of dollars....while noting on the check CBS (a left wing news agency).....

....could it be a payola payment?
....could it be for bribes
....could it be for costs incurred by CBS in digging up dirt on those who fight terror?...
....could it be a payment to CBS, who in turn pays Dan Rather to produce harsh Anti-Bush stories...

......if CBS is connected to payments from Islamic terrorists....something stinks....

CBS,

Conquest by Sharia.

-XRDC

Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia. Geographically inclusive but lacking the much sought after dhimmi message.

MB is MB is MB is MB is MB .......everywhere.

No proof will serve to convince those who are by nature unable to face the music, and we can all script the responses to proof.

Da smoking gun !

Deny this Hooper, you lyin apologist and Benedict Arnold.

CBS likely stands for Columbia Broadcasting System. Dan Rather probably suggested they donate to CAIR over drinks

...the signature appears to be that of Shukri abu_Baker.....one of the head honchos for HolyLand Foundation....his name is on the terrorist indictment.....

Why is everyone ignoring Payingattention?

You've heard of cops and investigators talk about connecting the dots. Well this appears to be one of the dots. It is a check(ue) form Holyland (on trial in Texas for supporting terrorism) to CAIR (a co-conspirator in that trial who should also be on trial but is not). It shows that CAIR is a beneficiary of a terrorism supporter, similar to an athletic supporter.

I guess CAIR needs some relief and development.

A picture of a check(ue) is worth a thousand words.

CAIR's response:

That check does not exist. It's a figment of the imagination. It's not there, OK? Keep denying what your eyes THINK they see because this check simply isn't there. It's a mirage.

In other words, business as usual.

Speaking of that picture, it appears to have an evidence stamp or something, but it does not have all the stamps and marks that a bank or banks would put on a processed check. Curious.

Go find an old cancelled check to see what I mean.

What would be as, or even more, interesting than what CAIR has been given by the Holy Land Foundation, are the sums that come flowing in from Saudi Arabia and other countries, the hundreds of billions of dollars, some of which can be laundered here, and laundered there, and then used to pay for Jihad activities -- not weaponry, but missionary work, mosques and up those who are too well-informed and therefore alarmed --in the United States.

Don't forget man-about-Washington befriender-of-the-bigshots port-and-cigars we-are-all-corrupt-men-of-the-world-so-let's-just-not-get-too-excited-about-Saudi-corruption-shall-we Prince Bandar, who last June, after having been accused of having received up to $2 billion dollars as an arms-deal middleman, disappeared from public view:

The arms company BAE secretly paid Prince Bandar of Saudi Arabia more than £1bn in connection with Britain's biggest ever weapons contract, it is alleged today.

A series of payments from the British firm was allegedly channelled through a US bank in Washington to an account controlled by one of the most colourful members of the Saudi ruling clan, who spent 20 years as their ambassador in the US.

It is claimed that payments of £30m were paid to Prince Bandar every quarter for at least 10 years."

Well, was all that money just for his own use, or was he -- who apparently had a lot of loose cash in his pocket, and could dole it out as he wished -- giving some of it here, and some of it there, to protect the "image" of Saudi Arabia (as for lawyers to get some domestic-servant-beating member of the al-Saud off the hook and quickly out of the country), and also to promote, naturally, the "image" of Islam, and that can cover a lot of territory.

What explains those very expensive mosques that go up, even where there are only a handful of Muslims belonging to that mosque, when nearby, many thousands of, for example, Catholics in the same town apparently cannot afford to keep open a church in the Boston diocese? When a mosque in Billerica, Massachusetts, with about 100 members, all of them apparently of modest means, is built for $15 million, who is paying for that mosque, and for the mosque's upkeep?

Is the American government tracking Saudi money? In the case of the Boston mosque, enough is now known, that would have been confirmed had despotions been taken, about the Saudi financing of that mosque, and the Boston Redevelopment Authority agent of Islam who helped those who wanted to put up the mosque how to get an unheard-of, below-market deal on city-owned land also apparently had a Saudi connection (and went to Saudi Arabia to obtain Saudi financing) on how to get the below-market deal on city-owned land.

The mosque is a center of not only what we would call "religious" activity, but political activity. Freedom House has described the kind of anti-Infidel literature, often linked to the Saudis, in mosques themselves often linked to the Saudis. Well, what about that political activity? Shouldn't that, for a start, lead to an investigation into the unusual foreign sources of funding of so many of these places, and the distribution of literature that should be recognized as inflammatory propaganda, likely to make the lot of Infidels less secure? Where are those in Congress calling non-stop for an investigation of Saudi money, or that from the U.A.E. (the funds may indeed be mingled, or their real origin discuised, for the Saudis recognize that "U.A.E." money does not yet cause the worry that "Saudi" money would). There should be an entire section of the government devoted to tracking that foreign money, the money from Saudi Arabia, the U.A.E., and other oil-rich sheiklets, for this is the Money Weapon of the Jihad. Tracking it, and seeing exactly what it goes for, and getting the names, and monitoring the activities, and hauling before a permaennt Congresional committee devoted to the study of this Money Weapon, all those Western hirelings who, from former diplomats and academics and former high government officials, have done, are doing, such damage to American foreign policy, and have helped to delay, for more than a third of a century, sensible measures being taken to diminish the use of oil, because the Saudis wouldn't like that.

You'd think people might raise an eyebrow or something when confronted with a religion whose adherents define funding terrorism as 'charity.'

But you'd be wrong.

Wake Up, America!

OT: Hirsi Ali explains why every last muslim school in the West must be closed down.

Otherwise we continue to publically fund ( we are funding ) schools which teach the kids to hate us.

Can one think of a more self defeating action ?

Usually one can ponder why atheists and socialists will not find the teachings of islam offensive - 'they are mostly only against Christians and Jews', not necessarilly us.

Get real.

All muslim schools should be closed down.

Close all muslim schools (we pay them to teach their kids to hate and kill us).

It is islam which must be defeated (there is no 'radical islam').

The gift of insight from Hirsi Ali.

Get it or get dead.

....could it be a payola payment?

Is that called *jizyah* or *zakat* in Arabic?

Regarding Muslims schools:
Sorry a little OT but this is important: Canadians (Ontarian) showing some backbone: The opposition leader John Tory, who had been thought a very possible winner to over throw Dalton McGuinty in Wednesday's provincial election, lost BIG TIME over the public's anger about his platform to publicly fund faith-based schools. Here's an excellent column by the editor of the Toronto Sun:

MULTICULTURALISM HAS A DOWNSIDE By LORRIE GOLDSTEIN (October 11, 2007)

Politicians like to pretend they lead public opinion, but they don't. They follow it.

In the case of the legitimate reservations ordinary Canadians have long had about whether government-driven "official multiculturalism" is uniting Canadians or, in fact, dividing them along cultural, religious and ethnic lines, mainstream politicians have finally come to the party -- more than 30 years too late.

Throughout the 1970s, '80s and '90s, average Canadians who expressed any doubts about whether government-imposed multiculturalism and its many offshoots were working in Canada's best interests, were likely to be labelled as bigots and racists by mainstream politicians of all stripes -- Liberals, of course, but also New Democrats and Progressive Conservatives -- and by much of the Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal intelligentsia.

But today, more than three decades later, concerns about the potential downsides of state-sanctioned multiculturalism have finally reached the long-deaf ears, and are now being given a voice by, Canada's elite chattering classes.

In Quebec, long advertised as Canada's most socially progressive province, it's being called the debate over the "reasonable accommodation" of minorities, with political parties and many non-government organizations (NGOs), academics and media now raising alarms the pendulum has swung too far in favour of accommodating immigrants and minorities.

In the Ontario election, Conservative Leader John Tory snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, despite facing a promise-breaking Liberal premier, by proposing public funding for the faith-based schools of other religious minorities, similar to how Ontario already funds Catholic schools.

Premier Dalton McGuinty, desperate to talk about anything other than his record of broken promises, successfully seized on Tory's proposal and accused him of wanting to "segregate"children by religion, thus attacking, McGuinty claimed, Ontario's "social cohesion." And it worked.

On CBC's Rick Mercer Report -- perhaps the most reliable indicator of what Canada's elites consider safe, politically correct humour these days, Mercer ridiculed Tory's idea by showing a mock video of Osama bin Laden endorsing his faith-based school funding plan, acknowledging through humour what the premier had only suggested in code -- (MOST IMPORTANT POINT NEXT - my words)

that it was the public funding of Muslim schools, more than Jewish, Sikh, Hindu or Christian ones, that was driving public concerns about the policy.

My point is not to claim everyone who opposed Tory's policy did so because of religious bigotry. Many opposed it because they believe in one, strong, secular, publicly funded school system and would prefer to achieve this by melding the Catholic system fully into the public one, rather than by funding more faith-based schools.

Moderate organizations such as the Muslim Canadian Congress, also criticized Tory's policy as socially divisive. Ironic, isn't it?

What I am pointing out, however, is the breathtaking irony that in the two provinces that like to think of themselves as the most "liberal" and "progressive" in Canada, Quebec and Ontario, the debate over the reasonable accommodation of minorities is raging and, ironically, is being led by the very political elites who for more than 30 years, were preaching a far different message to Canadians.

That was that any questioning of official multiculturalism and its offshoots was likely indicative not of genuine concerns about the impacts of the policy on the cohesiveness of Canadian society, but of darker motives such as bigotry and racism.

Funny, isn't it, how the worms have turned?

A lot of things happen in a city in 13 years, but 1505 E Beltline Rd, Richardson, TX is now the Richardson Chamber of Commerce.

.............Absolutely............

Left click on the check image, and it is a link to anti-CAIR where I hoped an image of the back of the check would be. I would really like to see the reverse side. It has all the idications that it has never been processed, er cashed.

Problems with the MB?

Funny, I never thought the Mennonite Brethren were really all that violent...

While Texas itself is a strongly Christian state in most areas (especially the rural towns), this is somewhat less true of the large urban centers where there is a much more diverse population of immigrants or foreign workers (here in Dallas, specifically a lot of East Asian nationalities can be seen). You'd be surprised what you can find in Richardson, and Plano...

There is a large Islamic center (probably mosque, I haven't looked that closely) in Richardson on Spring Valley Rd, east of Hwy 75...it belongs to the Islamic Association of North Texas (IANT).

Makes me curious to see what kind of information they're putting out to the people in this community...

How did Mohammad say the booty from plundering raids should be divided, again?

Hoopie should know.

Pelayo,

Left clicking on the check image at anti-CAIR provides a link to Douglas Farah:

The link for the check at Douglas Farah's website is then:

Looks like it was cashed.

Del, thanks. My bank puts stamps and stuff all over the front and back. It just looked peculiar to me.

People - check out this Editorial written by a Muslim at the Columbia "Spectator" against Horowitz and IFAW:

Here's another one called "Horowitz mischaracterizes Islam" (ain't it always that "mischaracterizing? lol):

http://www.columbiaspectator.com/node/27409

This makes me look around Texas and shake my head in wonder.

$5000? That's a pittance. That's not enough to pay for one frivolous lawsuit against one uppity infidel. That's not enough to pay for one rubber-chicken dinner with a top-tier politician, for the opportunity to take him/her aside, put their arm around him/her, and explain that they have friends, friends that could help them, friends that could provide much needed funds for their next re-election campaign. That's not enough for one full-page NYT taqiya-filled ad.

As Hugh said, there's much bigger amounts involved, from much deeper pockets. Wait. Do dishdasha's have pockets?

Of interest perhaps to some, is that CAIR has many chapters, some of which are 501(c)(3) organizations and others are 501(c)(4) organizations. The Washington DC CAIR organization is a (c)(4). The difference is that contributions to a (c)(4) are not tax deductible as charitable contributions, while contribs made to a (c)(3) are tax deductible.

Also, there are strict limitations placed on a (c)(3) with respect to lobbying activities. A (c)(4) may lobby without restriction [as long as it isn't using money received from a (c)(3)].

I went to the D.C. CAIR's website www.CAIR.com and noticed that their donation page says they are a (c)(3) and that contributions are tax deductible. Since CAIR is a (c)(4) I did a little digging and discovered that the D.C. CAIR group has formed a new foundation (2007)that is a (c)(3) so it can begin attracting contributions from people who want the tax deduction for their gift. The foundation is:

CAIR FOUNDATION INC
50 E ST SE STE 301
WASHINGTON , DC 20003

Perhaps they are about to begin a big fundraising drive? It will be interesting to see what kind of donations they attract over the next few years. Maybe another 5k from HLF? Nah.

Start sending in those donations!

How many 'bank' marks do you feel must appear on the front of a/the check to make it legitimate? Do you require a bloody finger print from Mohammad to validate the check?

I wonder if it had anything to do with this.

November 13, 1994: During an interview with CBS’s 60 Minutes, Nihad Awad was asked about anti-Semitic materials distributed by the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP) with which he was associated and about Hamas:

WALLACE: (Voiceover) We asked him about the IAP pamphlets denigrating Jews.
Mr. AWAD: I asked them to remove that from the shelf, and I asked them to clean all these things because it does only damage to the organization and to the cause of the Palestinians – and to the Muslims in general.
WALLACE: What do you think of the military undertakings of Hamas?
Mr. AWAD: Well, I think that's--that's for people to judge there.
WALLACE: I'm asking you.
Mr. AWAD: The United Nations Charter grants people who are under occupation to defend themselves against illegal occupation.

Does anyone else have any additional information about this or any other appearance on CBS by CAIR?

Perhaps this was a "thank you" for that appearance.

Did you check the date on the check? 1994. The organization was shut down during a search by the feds on December 4, 2001, amidst accusations that the group provided support to the Palestinian group Hamas.

What I want to know is, what happened to Shukri Abu Baker who was in charge of it? Does anyone know? Baker has to be an alias, so he probably has a new one.

Check...........mate

I find it interesting that the Washington address on the cheque and the address provided by cumulusnine, on a post above,

CAIR FOUNDATION INC
50 E ST SE STE 301
WASHINGTON , DC 20003

are both within spitting distance of the White House and the Capitol building. just where you'd want a nest of vipers cozying up.
The things you find on Google Maps!

Just did some searching--please see www.freedomtogive.com , which is Shukri Abu-Baker's new group. It's a sympathy front, but it has daily updates on the trial, which seems to be in Jury right now! anymore sources for info would be appreciated!

.....hmmmmmm....maybe the government did their usual incomplete job, missing "all accounts"...if this check is valid,,,then I would say the Holy Land Foundation is still funneling money....

....Baker also was known as Abu Mohamed....(a generic Muslim name used by many terrorists)....and he may has other names....He may have returned to Palestine...

This has bullshit written all over it! Come on! The "Holy Land Foundation" is clearly some Islamic organization. Get real!

All that needs to be said is "K" street.

All K street does is make horrible things look passable for politicians to do buisiness with.

Of course the need for these politicians to do buisiness with the likes of those who need image beutification is so they can feel safe about recieving larger checks.

Let no one forget that K street has it's fair share of "Ex journalists" whose only job is to make the third world tyrant pieces of crap look like a garden of roses.

As if you can't tell by the reporting of the up and comming "Ex journalists."

If there was one place i would like to see a huge hole in the ground it would be K street.

Getrealnow4, Please see comments at 11:03 am Oct 12. Take a lesson from Del; he was helpful, you were a jerk.

Accoding to wikipedia, in its former incarnation as the Occupied Land Fund, Holy Land Foundation was designated a terrorist organization by the E.U. and the U.S. and shut down by the U.S. government.

Payingattention,

CAIR was formed in 1994 by three leaders of the Islamic Association for Palestine with $5000 from the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, a pseudo-charity that was later shut down for raising millions of dollars for HAMAS.

Maybe the CBS memo represents the obvious. Turn on the news on this channel and all you "C" is "BS".

That too...which is why the exposed fraud raTHergate's history, too...but all that's another forum entirely, and won't be the first time.

It's sinking fast anyway, especially with "katie koran" at the anchor-helm...that's why they call it "black rock". lol

"all you "C" is "BS"....very clever, and true.
