How much did this juror know about Hamas' terror attacks against Israeli civilians -- attacks which Hamas openly celebrated? How much was this juror influenced by media whitewashing of jihad terror by the "Palestinians"?

The prosecution's key witness was a lawyer for the Israeli domestic security agency Shin Bet who testified under a false name. He said Palestinian charities that got Holy Land money were controlled by Hamas.Neal, the juror, said he found the Shin Bet officer's testimony unconvincing — that he would expect an Israeli official to condemn an ally of Palestinians.
No doubt Neal believed everything the defense said. After all, the Destroyers and their helpers never tell a lie or condemn their enemies-1400 years of history shows that.
What a crock-Neal should have been described as "the delusional juror".
OKLAHOMA CITY — An Oklahoma lawmaker is objecting to getting a copy of the Koran from the Governor's Ethnic American Advisory Council.
"I object to the use of the state Centennial Seal and the state Seal all in an effort to further their religion," state Representative Rex Duncan said Monday.
Duncan also wrote his colleagues that he rejected the gift because "most Oklahomans do not endorse the idea of killing innocent women and children in the name of ideology."
Marjaneh Seirafi-Pour, chairwoman of the governor's council and a Muslim, said she received a call from Duncan wondering whether state money was used to buy the books.
She told the Tulsa World newspaper that members of the Muslim community paid for the copies.
"We are not trying to force anything on anyone. This is a peaceful, thoughtful project to introduce ourselves to leaders," she said.
Earlier, lawmakers also received a copy of the Bible sponsored by The Baptist General Convention in Oklahoma.
"Mine is proudly on my desk on the Capitol and I don't think I ever read a part of it that condones the killing of women and children in furtherance of God's word," Duncan said. "It's one of the nicest things I've received in my three years in the Legislature."

Yesterday marked the end of the trial of the Holy Land Foundation. For those of you that may not remember, this Islamic "charity" and several members were accused of illegally funneling $12 million to Hamas.
And now the three month trial has ended ... in a mistrial. The case involved 200 counts and six accused, including the Foundation itself. Apparently this was too complicated for the jurors to handle ... or the prosecutors just didn't do their job.
The charges in the case were as follows: conspiracy to support a foreign terrorist organization, conspiracy to deal in the property of a designated terrorist group, money laundering and filing a false return for a tax-exempt organization.
The complex charges would have put the men on trial in jail for life. Now ... nada. Nothing. Except for Ghassan Elashi, the Holy Land's former CEO and chairman, who was already serving time for convictions on federal terrorism charges for falsifying documents and making illegal shipments of computer equipment to countries that sponsor terrorism.
The five men on trial were Shukri Abu Baker, Mohammad El-Mezain, Ghassan Elashi, Mufid Abdulqader and Abdulrahman Odeh. There were also two others who are believed to be in the Middle East and considered fugitives. El-Mezain was acquitted of most of his changes, and a mistrial was declared on only one count. However a mistrial was declared for all of his co-defendants.
The jurors deliberated for 19 days and were sent back for more deliberations after three jurors said they disagreed with the verdicts read aloud in the courtroom. A judge initially read a not guilty verdict for all 32 counts against one of the defendants, but at least one juror made it clear that he did not agree. When all but one juror agreed that further deliberations would be a waste of time, the judge declared a mistrial.
The prosecution has already said that it would seek a retrial. The disheartening part is that the few verdicts that were actually read in the courtroom were not guilty.
OK ... an intemperate thought here. I wonder how many of these jurors were educated in government schools. Now come on ... just bear with me for a second. Take a look at those charges again. This isn't the same thing as proving that someone walked into a convenience store with a gun and shot the clerk. Money laundering, false tax returns, conspiracy. All of these charges take some thought, some reasoning ability. You don't have to have 12 jurors with real educations, but it would help. If you want to screw up the whole deal, just get one or two government educated souls who couldn't find their way out of a corn maze. One or two .. that's it. One or two who can't balance their own check books, and we're expecting them to figure out a money laundering deal or a tax return?
There are so many ways our government education system has contributed to the decline of this country. Perhaps we've just seen another. "

Boston Globe: Criticism gone too far

Jeff Jacoby of the Boston Globe wrote an excellent column last week that does a very good job of describing Sabeel in light of their conference this weekend at the United Church of Christ "Old South Church" in Boston. From the Boston Globe:
IN CIVILIZED circles it is considered boorish to speak of Jews as Christ-killers, or to use language evoking the venomous old teaching that Jews are forever cursed for the death of Jesus. Those circles apparently don't include the Sabeel Ecumenical Liberation Theology Center, an anti-Israel "peace" organization based in Jerusalem, or its founder, the Anglican cleric Naim Ateek.
Sabeel and Ateek are highly regarded on the hard-line Christian left, and regularly organize American conferences at which Israel is extravagantly denounced by numerous critics. So far this year, such conferences have been held in Cleveland, Berkeley, Calif., and Birmingham, Ala.; another begins Friday at Boston's Old South Church.
Just as critics of the United States are not necessarily anti-American bigots, critics of Israel are not necessarily biased against Jews. But Sabeel and Ateek's denunciations of Israel have included imagery explicitly linking the modern Jewish state to the terrible charge of deicide that for centuries fueled so much anti-Jewish hatred and bloodshed.
