Police seize 'world interior spiritual struggle' team

That is, a "world jihad" cell.

"Police seize 'world jihad' team," from CNN (thanks to all who sent this in):

MADRID, Spain (CNN) -- Six suspected Islamic militants were Wednesday arrested in northern Spain on suspicion of using the Internet to recruit for and plot a 'world jihad,' a Ministry of Interior statement said.

The arrests came in Burgos province, a few hours' drive north of Madrid.

The six, allegedly linked to international Islamic terrorist activity, were seized in an operation involving U.S., Danish and Swedish intelligence agencies, the statement said.

"A large part of the activity was carried out on restricted Internet 'chats' and forums, which shows that the cell arrested was the first one detected and dismantled in Spain that promoted 'world jihad' through the Internet," the statement said.

Police were searching the homes of the six suspects and also a butcher shop run by one of them. Documents and computers were seized, the statement said.

Some of the money raised by the group allegedly was sent to Islamic terrorist convicts or suspects in prison, it said.

The alleged ringleader is Abdelkader Ayachine, an Algerian, and his top aide, Wissan Lotfi, a Moroccan. They were allegedly preaching violent jihadi ideology to promote an international "holy war," especially in Iraq, the statement said.

1000000000 - 6 = 999999994

As if life isn't tough enough already, the whole world has Islam to deal with on top of all the other crap life confronts you with. Thanks, Muslims, wherever you are, for giving sane and ordinary human beings jihadists by the bushel full. This is Islam's fault, only Islam's fault, and I for one take it very personally. Islam is such a pain in the ass. I'm so tired of Islam, all of it.

Be afraid. Be very, very afraid!

We can thank George Bush that Hillary Clinton is even a contender!

If she wins, you can thank Bush for that to.

The way things are going, with Jihadi plot after plot being unraveled, the "tiny minority of extremists" moniker will sooner-or-later have to be modified.

When we start hearing "very small minority of extremists"....we'll know we're making great progress.

Ynkedoodl2: Well, I can see your love for George Bush continues unabated. You know, I couldn't at this point in time blame any President for not condemning the world's most intolerant (and idiotic) religion. But I do most definitely fault anyone, including Bush, who asserts that Islam is a fine, noble, peaceful faith. Mr. President, keep quiet about Islam and leave it go at that.

exsgtbrown: Thanks for those Hillary quotes. I no more understand why anyone with sense would support that woman, who has many bad ideas, has gotten to where she is almost soley because of her ethically-challenged hubby and who has one huge mean streak in her, than I can figure out why any individual with common sense would want to be a Muslim. Stupid world, no?

The front for this operation appears to have been a butcher shop. So if the local mosque doesn't provide enough secrecy, your local halal butcher shop or your local muslim bakery will serve as the base you need.

Oriana Fallaci warned us of this.

I couldn't at this point in time blame any President for not condemning the world's most intolerant (and idiotic) religion.

I could not agree more. Mankind ( I mean actual mankind..not oxygen thieves ) has had to deal with all manner of things..cannibals, assassins, flesh eating bacteria, Komoda dragons, polio, slavery and the associated American Civil War, chronic halitosis and now this...resurgent islam. But this too will pass...I believe it, I really do, just maybe not in my lifetime.

Yet in America we have lots of websites hosted by American companies that contain enemy propaganda and no one does anything about it! Check here for details: http://markedmanner.blogspot.com/

I think I will make a case for a Christian Crusade, I'll start my own cell here. I don't think I'd have a problem recruiting people. Then, we could have the CRUSADES back, and win this time, lol.

Time to drag out the uniform, get the horse dressed and bring out the lance.

I will say that CRUSADING is my religion, of course with peace as the outcome once I have converted the Muslim infidels. I'm sure I can twist the Bible into saying that.

world jihad

Come, Pinqi, we must prepare for tomorrow night.
What are we going to do tomorrow night, Bhrain
The same thing we do every night, Pinqi
What's that Bhrain?
Try to take over the world!

See what happens when Muslims are forbidden to watch Infidel Soaps on telly, make music, dance or drink alcohol-only pastime left is violence and making babies-latter making sure that 'naughty bits' are not facing Mecca.
Only holidays permitted to World's most 'Exciting'
religion is listening to droning of Mullahs in Madrassas before going on 'Holy' Jihad to knock off some more Unbelievers & film Beheadings on
video...Gosh-what holiday zones are offered-Can an
Infidel in Afghanistan,Blow up a Nark in Iraq,Beheading Fiesta in Chechnya, and latest-European Tours Killing Kaffir Curs-may well overtake the rest in Popularity...

Pismopal...as long as garlic, coffee, and cigarettes exist, there will always be halitosis. I set the record for halitosis in 1985, when I knocked over a horse at ten feet. His knees just buckled and he fell over. I create panic in elevators.
I once caused the evacuation of a movie theater. I have been thinking of taking this act to a mosque or two. Halitosis jihad. Just a breath away...

"Halitosis jihad"....LOL!!!

lol @ "world internal spiritual struggle team"...

This looks like a job for...
Team America-World Police!

lol

Ynkedoodl2: You and I can condemn Islam but any President who would do so outright would immediately put all Americans (and American allies), be they civilians or soldiers, in greater harm's way in Muslim countries. Also, as long as America and many other non-Middle Eastern nations (Japan most importantly here) are dependent on Middle Eastern oil, a deliberate rebuke of Islam by a President of the United States would be economically highly unwise. The day will come, I think, when this will have to occur, but not yet. For the time being, I'd be content with all leaders in the Western world just not saying anything kind about Islam.

Spot on, as usual Wellington, so how do we get him to shut up about it?

Lest you sense an opening here Ynkedoodl2, ONE thing Bush has RIGHT is an unshakable drive to Victory in Iraq.

Davegreybeard: Thanks for your comments. Yes, I wish President Bush would cease saying soothing words about Islam. But even extremely learned individuals like Daniel Pipes, for whom I have great respect, make the same error. I see wishful thinking here. It's understandable but not in accord with the truth-------and, I would add, eventually deleterious to the health of America and all of the West. Islam is appalling and no other major religion is. It's that simple. People, including very good folks, just can't bring themselves to the conclusion that a major religion can be rotten. Well, it can. It's called Islam.

It is a cornerstone of my thinking that eventually this attempt to whitewash Islam must cease in order for the West to survive in tact. Not saying kind things about Mohammed's creed is the first step to be taken in a direction that must be taken if Western suicide is to be avoided. Many who post here have a correct understanding of Islam, but they do not see, I would humbly submit, the necessity of a time table, incrementally followed, by which this must be pointed out to the non-Muslim world. Folks can accept changes, including changes about major matters, but they rarely can do this all at once. This is not meant as a criticism, simply an analysis, for I share with so many of those who write into JW their complete disdain for the Islamic faith.

It seems that you, like myself, do not have a total disregard for Bush. I give him credit for keeping us safe here at home since 9/11 and I think there is no alternative for America and the West but victory in Iraq. Here Bush has been steadfast. I view victory as pummeling Islamic terrorists into a marginal capacity in Iraq so that most Iraqis can, in spite of Islam, create a kind of state reminiscent of Lebanon in the post-war period up to 1975. I do see, though, the distinct possibility of man's greatest war in all of history if major portions of the Islamic world do not accomodate themselves to the modern world. That, of course, would mean Armageddon.

How about- The Running of the Infidels in Spain!

Of course, it won't be called Spain then...it will be called Andalusia.

""world jihad team""
A Saturday morning cartoon for Ahmadinejad Youth.

I believe I share your perception of the present situation and how to proceed. As you note, it cannot all be done at once. It is not possible to leap from a culture of Islam to Jeffersonian Democracy in one bound. It will take time and small steps to get where we need to go.

What surprises me is that when representative democracy and Islam are intertwined, as is the case in present day Iraq, so many of us (who should know better) are convinced that Islam will win. True Islam and free choice cannot exist in the same house. As long as free elections are assured (our troopers will do the assuring) there will always be a questioning and replacement of leaders - and the direction of government. It is this questioning and free choice, given time, that will destroy Islam.

Why is it that so many of us assume, that unless the republic is perfect, Islam will win?

Wellington,

Sad to say, DaveGB,
same folks, even those with the best at heart, who often mistake
"in order to form a MORE perfect union" with
"in order to form a perfect union",
are also the same folks who mistake such rights as "the PURSUIT of happiness" as, somehow, an outright
"RIGHT to happiness".

Most often, the intent is innocuous/benign, but it can be a real irritant at having to constantly pause to explain it.

Halitosis jihad in a mosque? You'll have to be strong enough to overpower the miasma of farts from all those asses pointing upwards first!
