Ramadan is the cruelest month...

...breeding jihadists out of the dead land, mixing takfir and desire, stirring dull munafiqun with spring rain.

"‘Lyrical terrorist’ stored a library of hate, court told," by Adam Fresco for the Times (thanks to Watling):

A worker at Heathrow airport who called herself the “lyrical terrorist” wrote a poem entitled How to Behead and another on martyrdom, a court was told yesterday.

Police discovered the poems and a library of documents relating to terrorism in Samina Malik’s bedroom in Southall, West London. One document in her handwriting read: “The desire within me increases every day to go for martyrdom, the need to go increases second by second.”

Jonathan Sharp, for the prosecution, told the Old Bailey that Ms Malik, 23, liked to be known as the “lyrical terrorist” or “a stranger awaiting martyrdom”. He said: “She is a committed Islamic extremist, who supports terrorism and terrorists. She had a library of material that she had collected for terrorist purposes.”

Ms Malik, who is British born, was arrested in October last year after an e-mail that she had sent was found on another person’s computer. When her bedroom was searched police found a ringbinder full of documents that included poems and a list of weapons, Mr Sharp said. He added that Ms Malik had joined an extremist organisation called Jihad Way, which was set up explicitly to disseminate terrorist propaganda and support for al-Qaeda....

Let us go then, you and I
When the evening is spread out against the sky
Like a kuffar beheaded upon a table...

Only rhetoric. And quoted out of context by Islamophobes.

Ah, such happy sentiments. Surely a fine sample of what apologists call the Islamaniac contribution to literature.

"Jihad Way"

SNL skit: "Going My Jihad Way"

As for the execrable poetry of the would-be shahid, she was born and raised in England. But her literary taste runs not to Shakespeare but to those Hallmark card verses and sentiments, addressed To That Special Someone. Yes, more Louise Wyse than Shakespeare, with no doubt hints of Jonathan Livingston Seagull and "Inspirational Poems for the Ages" and let's not forget Khalil Gibran.

Now why didn't she read Rumi? Isn't he now everybody's favorite poet and a Sufi -- that is, the nice, peaceful, inspiring kind of Muslim that everyone wants to discover, and wants to focus on? The fact that Rumi represents only himself, that his poetry is an escape from Islam, that in any case Sufis -- al-Ghazzali was a Sufi -- have endorsed Jihad just like all other orthodox Muslims, and that Sufism has to do more with ways and means, and not with the same duties, and the same goals, shared by other Muslims --- that has all been overlooked.

Samina Malik had a boring job. Samina Malik was unmarried. Samina Malik was 23. Samina Malik had her dreams; lots of girls her age, in her position, have their dreamy dreams. But here's the difference. Though born in England, she knew she was a Muslim. And that meant, no matter what details she might know or not know about the Qur'an, Hadith, and Sira, she knew that as a Muslim, it was her duty to oppose the Infidels, for they, for all those who refused to accept Allah, and the Message of Muhammad, were worthless, were an obstacle to the necessary dominance of Islam everywhere, including that England in which she was raised.

And that awareness that she was a Muslim gave shape to her dreams, gave them meaning. And her dream was not to be swept off her feet by some prince, not to find a cozy cottage for two, but to be given direction and purpose, and her miserable life given meaning, by Islam, Islam, Islam. And she would dream of killing Infidels, as others dream, possibly, of family or career, and -- as they like to say in the American popular press -- "managing to juggle both."

Insanity may be defense when 9 were hit by car Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007 7:39 am

HILLSBOROUGH (AP) — Court papers indicate that the man accused of driving through a gathering spot on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and hitting nine people will offer an insanity defense at trial.

A notice filed Wednesday in Orange County Superior Court by public defender James Williams indicates that Mohammed Taheri-Azar will offer at trial a defense of insanity, mental infirmity and/or diminished capacity.

The 24-year-old Taheri-Azar is charged with nine counts of attempted first-degree murder and nine counts of felonious assault. If convicted, he could be sentenced to life in prison.

None of the people hit March 3, 2006, in the gathering area known as the Pit had to be hospitalized overnight. At that time, Taheri-Azar said his motive was to avenge Muslim deaths around the world.

Orange-Chatham District Attorney Jim Woodall has said Taheri-Azar knew what he was doing.

A trial has been tentatively scheduled for March.

Its not her poems.

What puzzles me is that she worked at the airport.

What bugs me is that ever increasing numbers of Muhammedans work at airports worldwide.

It bugs me even more that Muhammedans frisk nuns at airports.

And when you come out of the airport there are hundreds of taxi-drivers and they are all Muhammedans and they won't take you where you wanna go if you carry alcohol or you have a dog. And some do proselytizing and tell you that the caliphate lasted 1000 years and that the sharia is the only 'justice' etc.

Now you can call me whatever and I don't give a flying f*kc but there is something wrong with this picture.

There is a method in the madness and it will bite us in the ass.

Its only a matter of time.

...and she works in an airport....observing and gathering information to pass on to others interested in Jihad....

....something to think about as you go through the airport....your ticket counter is manned by Muslims...you are scanned by Muslims....your baggage is handled by Muslims...and you are greeted by Smiling Muslims as you board the airplane....

....enjoy your flight...

Wait til one of these scanners is caught passing off weapons to certain "passengers". What a hoot that will be.

I didn't expect this comment from July 18th to be quite so prophetic:

This is why I DON'T fly unless I absolutely have to, and why when I do I have to medicate myself.

The only reason airliners are not dropping out of the sky on a daily basis is because the entire known world has been required to build a mega-billion dollar screening system to thwart Islamic terrorists.

And yet anyone who wants to peek inside this hideous closet is called a "racist" and a "bigot."

The chasm of fantasy land between those two sentences is where the enemy lives.

greeaaaattt, i have to fly today. ah, medication...gotta love it.

Robert - your opening parody lyric says it all - engages the enemy and vaporizes him at the same time.

Ah, the joys of succinct brevity.

Ramadan is indeed the cruellest month, especially the end of it for million of poor goats and sheep inhumanely slaughtered to the chant of bismillah. I'd rather starve than eat halal, I wouldn't eat meat sacrificed to idols or false gods like allah.

There is no such god as allah and mohammed was a profiteer.

Give the girl a break guys. If not for Jihad, what kind of life does she have to look forward to as a muslim wife? Daily beatings, non-stop abuse from her husband, his friends and her own sons, wearing a bag through the streets of London, and someday possibly seeing her children blow themselves up. Or if she's really unlucky, she can watch/help her husband murder her daughter because she dared befriend a kafir.

Man if that was my choice, I think I might choose suicide too.

And if she makes a rational choice and chooses to leave islam, she may be murdered by her own family.

No wonder these muslim kids are screwed up.

Can the English strip her citizenship due to writing extremely bad poetry?

We have standards here in the west.

ramalamadingdong...the most ironic month in the islamic calendar.

"Like a kuffar beheaded upon a table..." - Sweet Jebus, what an image. What a guest she would be on the VIEW.

A couplet for the 'poet':

In the rooms, the burqas come and go
Smashing every Michelangelo.

The lyrics in the post are not hers but mine, parodied from "The Waste Land" and "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" by T. S. Eliot.

Cordially
Robert Spencer

Loved the use of Eliot....Nice job on the parody. And all too appropriate if one dissects the poems--so many in the West are like Prufrock unable to make a decision, while the Wasteland motif will certainly be the correct image for the West if Islam overruns us.....

There was a poet from Southall
Whose verses most certainly appall
She wrote on how to behead,
And then wished herself dead
Not such a bad thought after all!

Just what we need--"lyrical terrorism"!
