PATTANI, Thailand: Police in insurgency-wracked southern Thailand said Tuesday that mobile phones seized from an attack site contain video clips showing suspected insurgents beheading their victims and in one case, cutting off a soldier's sex organ.Investigators found two mobile phones in a bag left behind in an area of Yala province where suspected insurgents killed a police officer over the weekend, said police Col. Sompien Eksomya from Yala's Bannang Star district, where the attack occurred.
"We sent the SIM cards to be checked out and found gruesome video clips," he said by telephone.
One video clip taken Jan. 2, 2006 showed a suspected insurgent beheading a soldier, then severing his penis and laughing with the person taking the video, Sompien said.
The second clip was made on May 14 of this year, showing the beheading of a Buddhist man after he and his wife were shot. A third video clip filmed June 15 shows the bullet-ridden bodies of seven soldiers.

It's not only that substantial aspects of Islam foster violence.
It's also that Islam attracts those who are, to begin with, seeking to do violence and to cause pain, and find in Islam an excuse to express their sick desires.

I'm watching our little bundle of joy while The Mrs. sleeps, and I've discovered that it's almost impossible to think clearly when the crying pierces through the cranium... It seems to be a word used in lue of "Crazy, Murderous, islamic misunderstanders of their own religion." Definately more prominate in Thialand but I saw it used in just about any Islamic state.

Just following the example of his "prophet"...so why are we still surprised? Because we have a conscience that has not been seared over. They are prepared from early childhood to kill the infidel. Our hunters grow up wanting to bag the biggest buck they can, the jihadists want to kill as many human "others" as they can....what a rush. Ever see the "car-swarms" in Gaza? The swarmers pull out body parts and dance around with them in the air.
I say all this to stress that the god that orders this behavior is not the God of the Bible. The god of islam is a pagan god, a deity that glorifies death.

I am going to take it a step further. Allah is the anti-God or Anti-Christ. There are two aspects of Anti. One is the total and complete opposite of the truth. That is what you are alluding too.
The other aspect is to be like God. Allah claims to be the one and only God. He desires and longs for the worship and submission of all. He never demonstrates his worthiness of it, just demands it. He and his teaching according the the Koran are self serving, narcissistic and hate. There are many things that could be said about Islam but the biggest and most telling is the lack of love.
Wherever you maybe in your spiritual walk, if you have any humanity in you this truth is self evident.

This sort of brutal behavior could not florish in a western society, islam or no islam. This behavior is encouraged by ME culture (Israel excepted) and the "shame/honor" aspects of that culture. And let us also compare notes on what worked...Let the Sikhs, for instance, be inspired by the story of Charles Martel, Isabella of Spain, Pelayo, and the Knights of St John - people so very much like themselves; let Spain and Malta hear the story of the Sikh defence of India against the Jihad.
If the King of Thailand, and his generals, and his people, can just 'get' where this stuff is coming from, and that the Jihad never ends - that this is not about nationalism or local injustices, it is about a murderous cult - a pirate religion - that desires to devour the whole of Thailand and the whole of the WORLD, then they will know that they are in a fight for their lives. Speaking of love, I read an interesting article a while ago, sorry I can't find the reference. It was about a Western teacher, American I think, who was working in Oman. He said his students, males in older adolescence, were affable and he enjoyed teaching them. He asked them to read a romantic story, the boy meets girl kind of thing. When they finished he was quite surprised to learn that they had no emotional response to speak of, and it was clear to him that they literally had no concept of love in the romantic, Western sense. They simply could not relate to the concept.
Curiousness is the foundation of romance and other social interactions, as well as civilizational success, and the stark lack of it among Muslims in general does not bode well for them.

Sorry Ruebacca, but the corrupt former Prime Minister, Taksin was anything but hardline. He stupidly listened to American advisors about winning the "hearts and minds" of the Muslims and helped create the mess we now have. One of Taksin's brilliant ideas was to have Thai school children make paper origami birds and to drop these all over Pattani to show that Thailand "loved" its Muslims. What an idiot.
When General Sonthi overthrew "Toxin" he was acting on behalf of the king. Sonthi, although of Muslim background has shown himself absolutely loyal to the throne. Right after the coup, Sonthi completely purged the military of all senior officers loyal to the Thaksin government turned effective power over to the new PM Surayud Chulanont, who is a devout Buddhist.
Instead of clinging to power, Sonthi resigned as commander-in-chief of the Royal Thai Army three days ago when his term expired. He was succeeded by General Anupong Paochinda, a Buddhist. Sonthi resigned yesterday as chairman of the Council for National Security. He was succeeded as CNS chairman by Air Chief Marshal Chalit Pukbhasuk, the commander-in-chief of the Royal Thai Air Force. Sonthi has accepted a post in the cabinet of Prime Minister Surayud as deputy prime minister in charge of security.
The Muslims are committing these murders because (1) it's Ramadan, and (2) because the army is finally cracking down on the terrorists. The Muslims clearly believe that Surayud is about to wipe them out just as, in the 1970s, he was part of the Thai forces that wiped out the communists. Back then, many did not believe Surayud would be willing to fight the reds because his own father was a communist guerrilla and he was raised in a red household. But that is why he was chosen. He understood the reds and could be effective against them. It is the same with Sonthi and the Muslims. With the "Muslim" Sonthi in his cabinet over security, Surayud is poised to utterly wipe them out. This is what the Muslims fear most. That's why they're heating things up now.
