Verdict reached in Holy Land Foundation trial, but...

We'll have to wait until Monday morning when the judge returns. "Verdict reached in Dallas terror-funding trial," by Jason Trahan and Michael Grabell for the Dallas Morning News:

After 19 days of deliberations, the jury in the Holy Land trial terror finance returned a verdict Thursday afternoon. But it will be three days before we find out if they ruled for guilt or innocence.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Paul Stickney said the verdict will remain sealed until Monday morning when U.S. District Judge Joe Fish returns.
"I do not have the authority or the power to read it to the court," he said.

The tension mounts. Monday is a million years from now.

There is always a BUT when it comes to Islam.

Hmmm. Friday is the standard Islamic Day of Seething. If the verdict is guilty, delay until Monday to avoid that?

Deliberations had taken so long I had resigned myself to the trial ending in a hung jury.Lets hope the defendants were convicted on most if not all counts.

In a related story, Fatah has shut down all Muslim charities in the West Bank for supporting the terrorist group HAMAS. Will CAIR issue a press release condemning Fatah...lol

PA to shut down Islamic charities

In a move aimed at undermining Hamas, the Palestinian Authority government in Ramallah decided Thursday to dismantle all Islamic charitable organizations in the West Bank.

Hamas condemned the decision as a “declaration of war” on the needy and warned that thousands of families would be affected.

The charities that are being targeted are known as zakah committees. In Islam, zakah (purify) is a portion of one’s wealth that must be given to the poor or to other specified purposes. The payment of zakah is a way of purifying one’s wealth and saving oneself from greed and selfishness.

PA officials said Hamas has been using the zakah committees as a means of transferring funds to its supporters in the West Bank

"But it will be three days before we find out if they ruled for guilt or innocence."

Gosh, I hope Judge Stickney lives that long.

It;s ok Isabelle...the jury decides that, not the judge. Even if they knocked off the judge & entire jury right now, the verdict is official, and would be read regardless...it's way past that now.

They're just prepping the locals for any nasty reaction, and believe me, they WILL be ready, lol
Remember, it's Texas...y'all.

"Hamas condemned the decision as a “declaration of war” on the needy and warned that thousands of families would be affected."'

....oh, just like they were affected when Hamas decided to funnel all monies received from "Islamic Charities" and from the charities of other nations into buying arms, ammunition, explosives and payments to the families of suicide bombers....just like when they seized all the food, clothing and medicines donated to alleviate living conditions of the Palestinians and then sold them on the black market (to get more money to buy more guns, ammunition, and explosives --including those point and shoot rockets--)...just like when they take school aged children away from their families to train them in military tactics....Hamas has made a "declaration of war" and it does involve the families of thousands of Palestinians....but not in the way they tell you....

The wait is already excruciating! The longest weekend ever, since the in-laws visited.

As if it really matters where they attack be it Texas or Mars as long as innocent people are offered up as examples thats all that matters.AND it could be that the "eye for an eye" golden rule of islam doesn't take place for a week,or two,or three.

In any case the display we would see,if there is to be one, will be of those "moderate and peaceful hijacked muslims" protesting against those found guilty of insulting and defiling islam.....right??

Closing down the Holy Land Foundation (and similar organziations) is but the first step. We need to route out Saudi money from mosques and stop immigration from those countries as step two.
