Cannistraro, Apologist: Then and Now

What is wrong with Vince Cannistraro, an ex-CIA counterterror chief? Steven Emerson explains for IPT News Service (thanks to all who sent this in):

Cannistraro has a history of defending despicable behavior, harmful to America's national security. Famously, Cannistraro was a long-time apologist for now-convicted Palestinian Islamic Jihad operative Sami al-Arian, even going so far as writing a letter on Al-Arian's behalf after the University finally terminated him for repeatedly lying about his ties to the terrorist group...

And now he's defending Nada Nadim Prouty, who has confessed to rifling FBI files for information about Hizballah investigations.

Read it all.

He hasn't been in the government, or the C.I.A., since 1990 or so? He's been remote, out of any loop, for nearly 20 years? Yet he continues to be gravely consulted by others, and even employed as a television consultant and "expert" on "terrorism"? Isn't it obvious he is either an idiot, moral and geopolitical, or something even more sinister? He should not be employed by any television network, nor consulted as an "expert" by any journalist, about anything. What Emerson has put up is quite enough, in a sane well-ordered society, to condemn Cannistraro to the equivalent of Coventry. He's worthless as an "expert"-- no, worse than worthless. He's dangerously misleading, and clearly very much parti pris. How many dopes, exactly, did or does the C.I.A., employ? There seem to be quite a few.

I'm a visual type of person. It's useful to visualize what treason looks like.

Take a good look at this image of Vince Cannistraro and remember what Emerson and Fitzgerald have written.

This Canistraro is a strange case, brought into the Reagan admin by Ollie North, involved with the Iran contra mess, at first reading some of his remarks about the Niger yellowcake issue, I started feeling that he might just be a partisan that has let his partisanship trump his patriotism, but I just dont know.
While most people think of the Spanish Inquisition as relating to persecution of Jews and Protestants, its main purpose was to overcome Islamic Taqqiya in the cleansing of spain from the grips of its Muslim Conquerors, in reading of some of those who have climbed into bed with the likes of Sami al Arian it makes me wonder if an Inquisition is warrented in rooting out closet Islamist Moles in the government?

Miira, he sort of reminds me of one of these guys:

Um, perhaps HE is the original corruption source for Prouty being hired by the CIA?

{^_^}

He's been one of few of those notorious "unnamed sources" feeding the MSM anti-America frenzy that still continues today...and the masses continue to swallow hook, line & sinker.
No surprise there.
