ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Federal authorities have advised local law enforcement agencies to be alert to possible terrorism threats because of the Middle East peace conference next week in Annapolis, Homeland Security and FBI officials said Friday.Although intelligence reports indicate no credible threats by domestic extremist groups to the conference or Islamic or Jewish sites in the Annapolis area, "nonetheless, the Department of Homeland Security does not discount the threat of the lone wolf terrorist, including individuals radicalized by homegrown extremist groups or Internet content," said a bulletin issued by the agency and the FBI.
The threat assessment bulletin highlights about a dozen groups, including the radical Islamic fundamentalist organization Hamas, and Hezbollah, the Lebanese umbrella organization of radical Islamic Shiite groups that is a bitter foe of Israel.
Homeland Security spokeswoman Laura Keehner said the bulletin was sent to law enforcement agencies "in an abundance of caution."

You are more optimistic than I am. People who wait that long to wake up will never resist. They'll go along to get along. If they're promised that they can practice their religion in peace (if not freedom) and that they'll be allowed to make a living, they'll be satisfied. The Church will act in a similar vein. As long as the Muslims don't threaten to destroy their religion(s), they'll go along on the basis of the religion's call to obey civilian authority and render unto Caesar and they will call on the faithful to do likewise.
Once the sword is over their heads, they'll do whatever they're asked. Too many people will answer "yes" to the following question:
"Is life so dear or peace so sweet as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery?"

If there are attacks on ordinary citizens or on government and law enforcement personnel in America or Israel during Annapolis, or just before or after, then I think all of us here can say with absolute certainty that they will be carried out by jihad raiders, Muslims, exclusively.

What if, at Annapolis, the Jihadists are NOT about to get what they want? What if a successful peace conference there will sow the seeds for their undoing?
Throughout the 1990's, Gazans were more supportive of the peace process than West Bankers, even though the process led to economic losses in Gaza. Even when Fatah was weakening and creating a power vacuum in the late 1990's, Hamas had low levels of public support. It was not until after Camp David, when Fatah had clearly failed to bring a Palestinian state, that violence was embraced. But even after thousands of violent deaths, a majority of Palestinians still support a two-state solution. In Gaza, two-thirds of Palestinians do not support Hamas, but only tolerate it. If they perceive a better path to quality of life and statehood, they will take it.

I like Israels odds at 48 to 1. Like every Movie I have ever seen where there is a room full of Muslim's, sure pandamonium breaks out.
