A man who placed an "obituary" on YouTube of one of the leading opponents of plans to build Europe's biggest mosque near the London Olympics site has been arrested by police.
The video, "In memory of Councillor Alan Craig", features the Leader of the Christian Peoples Alliance party, his wife and two daughters.
The two-minute video, which has now be taken down, was added by a man calling himself "abdullah1425" and was set to the strains of Elvis Presley's song Always On My Mind and opened with its title and the words 'To God we will all return'.
It featured a boxing scene with an Asian punching an opponent to the ground before ending with the message: "The mosque will be built in time for the 2012 Olympic Games."
When the video was uploaded to Youtube, there was a web link from the Abbey Mills mega-mosque website to abdullah1425's YouTube mini website, where he identifies himself as Muhammad, 23, from Stevenage, Herts. It also had links to material relating to Tablighi Jamaat.
In one comment to another user posted on the site he said: "Jihad starts from the moment your mother gave birth to you." Police have taken a statement about the video from Cllr Craig. The man behind the posting has now been bailed to return to a police station in Hertfordshire.
Commenting, Cllr Craig said: "This incident now seems over. I will not be intimidated by threats of any kind as important issues about this mosque have to be addressed in an open and fair fashion. This whole episode has exposed the reality that some Muslims accustomed to using either violence, intimidation, or the threat of violence are linked to the idea of this mosque.
"I cannot say it often enough: the proposed mosque will be bad for London, bad for the community and an invitation for the propagation of separatist and fundamentalist Islamic ideas. Up to now, Mayor Ken Livingstone and the Labour establishment have turned a blind eye to the real nature of the organisation behind the mega-mosque. I hope they will look more seriously at them now."
Mr Craig represents Canning Town South ward in Newham borough, where he has the support of many Muslim residents in the area in his opposition to plans for the "mega-mosque" at Abbey Mills, near West Ham tube station, which will have a 12,000 capacity.
It is being proposed by the controversial Islamist group Tablighi Jamaat, whose previous adherents include Glasgow airport bomber Kafeel Ahmed, shoe bomber Richard Reid and the July 7 bombers Mohammad Sidique Khan and Shehzad Tanweer.

The "asian" in question is the "MOSLEM" pakistani boxer Aammir Khan.
Let's face it, the mega-mosque" at Abbey Mills is not intended as a place of worship. It is intended as an "in your face," statement to Britain and Western civilization, and especially Christian civilization.
It will obviously dwarf St. Pauls as the largest place of worship in London, giving the impression that Islam is on the ascendancy in Britain, and Christianity is on the decline.
That's the real reason for building this monstrosity, and with the help of the Lord Mayor London and screwballs like Prince Charles, they'll accomplish their goal.

No thinking person can possibly argue with your sentiments, and I'm all for writing to senators and Congressmen, But, frankly, I'm not optomistic that it would do a whole lot of good.
Most appologists for Islam are ideologues, and ideologues do not give up their ideology easily.
Senators and Congressmen have seen the same evidence that you and I seen as to the murderous nature of Islam, but they go on repeating the same old mantras about the peaceful nature of Islam. Their ignorance is not due to a lack of evidence; it is deliberate and willful ignorance. Their ideology will trump the facts everytime.
This fact was driven home to me while watching the Democratic debates in Las Vegas this week. The candidates fell all over themselves to depect Muslims as victimes of discrimination at U.S. airports because security agents appeared a little more suspicious of them than non-Arab passengers. All of them promised to end the "discrimination."
I doubt that letters, or even a major tragedy, will change the way these people think.
Nevertheless, I'm still all for writing letters -- not because I think it'll do any good, but because it's our duty to speak out.
So rare in my country is it to find a politician willing to say what he said. The man deserves a medal. My country has become so cowed under the yoke of political correctness that we have allowed our identity to usurped.

You may be right that the Senators won't listen, but I will tell them something that I bet you and Robert Spencer don't even know: After 9/11, and when GWB was debating about going into Iraq, a Muslim neighbor flew to South Africa, to participate in the million man march against war in Iraq. (He told me about it after the fact.) Then he flew to London to participate in a similar protest (which was hailed as the greatest group of protestors ever in London). When he came home and we discussed his "vacation" he made this astounding remark: "EVERYONE HATES BUSH!" That "mantra" was begun by those (mostly Muslims) who participated in the marches! Like a catchy tune that everyone sings, the EVERYONE HATES BUSH tune took off like a rocket. Before long many Americans were repeating and believing it. Now the whole world believes it. A deceptive, dishonest comment, intentionally whispered by millions, has made its way around the world, castigating our Prez. There are millions who don't hate him - disagree maybe, but not hate!
I'm fairly certain nothing will come of this mosque for the simple reason that it will turn the place where the 2112 Olympics are to be held into a trouble spot, with protests and even the possibility of direct action and violence. This would cause talk internationally that the country can't run a smooth games, damage British prestige and its international image in the eyes of the world.
Muslim immigration to the West must be halted. Mosque-building must be stopped. The Islamization of the West must be stemmed. There is no politically correct way to do this, but the survival of the West - and in a sense all civilized societies - depends on it.
Every time I read about this mega insult plan for a site adjacent to the future Olympic stadium, I cannot help but think of another Olympic site - Sarajevo, which according to Wiki

Why is it necessary for an "infidel", living in an "infidel" nation, a nation made and created by "infidels", why is it even necessary for Muslims to agree with this gentleman -- as if this is the only way his deep and justifiable concerns for his city and homeland maintain credibility? Is it because those Muslims among us -- even those so-called "moderates" have spent so much time and so much effort softening up the ground before the real battle begins that only their accession to our concerns makes them legitimate?
There should be no need whatsoever for Muslims to agree with "infidels" if "infidels" resist what they're plotting at all junctures.
In all the coverage I've read there's no corroboration of these "Muslim residents" who agree -- either they are too afraid to make themselves known, or more likely they're simply figments of someone's imagination -- someone in the media who does however sense that there's something terribly wrong with this triumphalist mosque plopped right across the street from the Olympics venue -- but this writer, or these writers, rather than coming out and announcing without embellishment why this mosque should never be built, would rather pad the tale with bromides and soft soap in order to make it more palatable.

The local Muslim opposition is more about turf wars. The group organizing it call themselves the "Sunni Friends of Newham" and seem to be connected to an organization called Minaj-ul-Quran. They are not against a mega-mosque as such - just one that is owned and run by Tablighi Jamaat who they regard as political opponents.
The local Muslims did hold a public meeting but Tablighi Jamaat refused to show up. They haven't even applied for planning permission for this project and one or two people are skeptical that they really intended to build a mosque at all or have have the financial backing to do so. They have already scored a propaganda coup simply by announcing the plan - they've successfully rattled the cage of the infidels and even got their Muslim rivals jumpy.
If they build that monstrosity, I hope the British government realizes that it'll become a nation within a nation.
The Imams and Islamic leaders will claim the right to decide who can enter the premises and who can't enter the premises, including police, fire marshalls and other public officials.
They'll try to establish an authority equal to the governments authority, right in the middle of London. And if anyone challenges their claim, they'' call it defiling a sacred Islamic site.
There are already States within States in every major European city where even the police are afraid to go. Why help them establish another one?

Police refer to the type of law enforcement - crime prevention is non existent - used against Islamofascists, as: reactive. They have to wait until they do something illegal.
Alternative enforcement is: proactive. You prevent crime before it happens. How can that be done? Jihad advocacy must be criminalized. Some conduct is: unconscionable. Off topic, but why is our media omitting coverage of atrocities committed on Temple Mount, Jerusalem? Israel has been protesting Palestinian digging; there is little doubt that they are uncovering ancient, priceless and irreplaceable objects central to understanding our Greco-Roman-Judaeo-Christian heritage. And they are doing it to coverup the truth about the Jewish history on Temple Mount. Jewish anthropologists are completely honest about what they find. There is no way I can fit 6 years of study into 20 min. so my goal is to convince at least 1 brainwashed student to look it up for themselves. I will even provide the books/links to make it easy. A worthy endeavor - I think.

Couldn't agree more with the sentiments expressed in the poem. That's why I don't hesitate to write letters to my Senators and Congressmen. Letters and faxes are the most powerful means of conveying the message that you're serious about what you have to say.
So I'm not discouraging anyone from writing letters to their Congressmen. It's just that I know from watching ideologues for years, that facts make little difference to them. They are wedded to an ideology, and they cling to it in the face of all evidence that contridicts it.
I saw ample proof of this in the Democratic party debates in Las Vegas this week. These candidates have as much, if not more, access to what's happening in this world than I do, but not one of them addressed the subject of Islam, and its murderous ideology, as a possible threat to this country. On the contrary, they tripped all over themselves to assure Muslims that they were on their side, and that any scrutiny of Islam amounted to discrimination -- for which there is no logical justification.
Think a letter will break the logjam in their brains?
Nevertheless, I'll keep writing.

When you write be sure to mention "Infidel" by Aayan Hirsi Ali and "Why I Left Jihad" by Walid Shoebat If reading those books doesn't snuff out the shameful lack of understanding, and flatten their ideology, then recommend Robert Spencer's excellent books! These books and the Qur'an certainly set me straight!
