Land of War, Land of Islam, Land of Truce. Obviously the Phillipine government doesn't know or doesn't care about this threefold way Muslims have of dividing the world since the time of Mohammed. This enclave won by the Muslims in the Phillipines is only a stopgap measure, which is what the Land of Truce is all about. Sooner or later Muslims will go on the rampage again to convert all of the Philippines from the Land of War to the Land of Islam. Message to the Phillipine government: Wake up.
In some ways, this deal is good news. Since there is no doubt in my mind the Muslim demands won't end even if the agreement is signed, and in all likelyhood they will break the agreement themselves when it suits them, the people Philippines will get a firsthand lesson of the value Islam places on treaties with Infidels.
Plus, the Muslim homeland will quickly become a Sharia infested hellhole breeding terrorists, re-enforcing the lesson. Sadly, that's what it's going to take to wise people up. Or they will stick their head in the sand as usual and blame "Islamophobia." Sigh.
In today's Front Page Magazine the ever-scholarly Caroline Glick has written a timely article about Islam's destruction of the nation state world wide. We are beginning to see a pattern all over the world; nations are taken over piece meal by islamic "radicals" who war with the host country for a piece of territory which they have often first conquered by dint of demographic jihad (they outbreed the host nation).
What is going on in the Philippines today as seen in the above article is representative of what is going on worldwide. In European cities there are no hundreds of "no go" areas that are enclaves of Muslims and even shariat. In the United States Islamic enclaves are sprouting up ominously and the idiotic US government continues to pretend it isn't happening. The war between Israel and the "Palestinians" is this type of war as palestine was never anything more than a geographical division; and of course the demands of the Muslims of Palestine now include the remainder of Israel.
Sooner or later the Filipinos will belatedly realze that Islam wants ALL of the Philippine archipelago and that there is no room int he Philippines for anyone who is't Muslim.
Like the US government, there is little sign the Philippne government will wake up in time. And the demise of the nation-state at the hands of Islam comes closer.

Ya, for about 6 months, after a nice break, when suddenly the 'Muslim Homeland' will stir like a hive of bees, swarming, then hurling rockets and dispatching self exploding carbon life forms across the demarcation line, after coming to the stunning realization, they didn't get the whole 'homeland' from the Kafirs.
You see, once one Muslim foot stands upon the land, it is rightfully a Muslim land.
And the muslims won't stop there. This is just another victory for them and they might be quiet for a time - but I guarantee it won't be longer than 10 years. And we will see the demands for more land for them - as we see in Kashmir after the muslims got Pakistan.
I think that people just can't get more stupid. But, is it a weariness of fighting? I think that is normal. What isn't normal is the continual war that muslims wage. But, this is why people keep caving in to them - they become 'war weary'.

Maybe it would be better if the Muslims of the South areas simply emigrated to Malaysia or Indonesia, since they obviously can't handle the idea of living in a friendly open Christian country like the Philippines. Been there twice, and their whole society operates on the principles of 'getting along'....any drive along a roadway is testament to that. Traffic in all directions, but no-one ever gets angry or there never seems to be any accidents. A busy, bustling place which i enjoy visiting.

Islamists aren't the only ones seeking the demise of the nation-state. Many of our best and brightest are busy destroying our national sovereignty in the name of world peace and one-world government. They play the race card when people protest the dilution of American values and culture.
Compare the Islamists to the AIDS virus. They weaken the body of the nation-state and the opportunistic infections of the UN, SPP, ICC, WTO and however many more alphabet-groups we can create will then move in for the kill.

Yes, and that is exactly why Bush et al. are so hell-bent on "democratizing" the various parts of the world that do not want democracy. Signing Islam onto the globalist agenda is an essential part of the program. Same with China. Think about that the next time you start to feel that the politicians are not making sense. A belief system that is truly conservative would not take the United States in such directions.
As for the Filipinos, they are a lot tougher than most think. They are also gun-crazy. Combine this with their painful experiences in WWII and fairly traditional heritage and you have a worthy adversary. As of last count, Mindanao had a total population of about 19 to 20 million, with a total Muslim population of less than 4 million out of that number. (census of 2,000 which gives Muslim population of Philippines as about 100 million of which 5 million are Muslims).

My almanac gives the Moslem population as about 5% of a total population of about 80 million. I don't know many of these are concentrated in the southern areas under discussion. But there have been Moslems in the southern Philippines for centuries; they were there before the Spanish arrived. Until the middle of the 19th c, there were virtually independent Moslem principalities in the southern islands. Like similar Moslem principalities in north Borneo, they made their living chiefly from piracy, making the South China Sea a very dangerous place. The great Rajah Brooke of Sarawak encountered them in his campaign to crush the Borneo pirates. For long periods, the Spanish government in Manila had no real authority there. So I rather agree with a couple of posters above who suggest that the bulk of the Philippines be declared a non-Moslem area, with any Moslems required to move to their southern homeland. In return any Christians or other non-Moslems in the south can be re-settled in the rest of the Philippines. Then be ready to enforce the agreement with strength.

Across the globe, I see very little propsect of ANYONE seriously opposing Islam. Not even India, possibly the most threatened nation by Islam, is really taking the global jihad as seriously as it should be taking it. This glaring general lack of support and enthusiasm to combat Islamic jihad worldwide does not embolden the British or Americans in this matter, especially when both nations have been subjected to extensive Communist-Islamic subversion strategies over the past two generations or so and have been politically attacked (even by 'allies') when they have proactively tackled jihad.
Apathy can be a very deadly condition-- and it is apathy towards Islam's global holy war that presently is what I smell in the global air currents.

I worked as a missionary in this part of the Philippines among the people displaced by the Islamists from their homes. One group in particular, a large village, had fled from the jihad and taken up residence in a roadside ditch. I was with them there, teaching and giving what assistance we could while being crushed by the asinine conditions in which they were living. Their children were in constant danger of being run down by the pineapple plantation trucks (Dole has a large presence there) racing by on the roadway barely 3 meters from their "houses", which were cardboard and stick shacks scattered about on the sides of the ditch. There must have been 150 folks crammed into this squalor. The real hell was when it rained, and the whole village became a river of runoff from the road. They couldn't move farther in from the road, because that was private property. So there they were, trapped in the part of the right-of-way that wasn't asphalt.
Three cheers for the Jihad and the Dhimmi morons in Manila who have such concern for their fellow citizens.
I am angry at the US, UK and "EU" governments attempting to force countries like Israel, the Philippines, Serbia, and probably Thailand to buy into this whole land for peace garbage. Other than those here, LGF, and some other sites, citizens don't really care what is going on, and governments tend to see appeasing Saudi Arabia as a much better thing to do than to confront Islamist terrorism - why wasn't the financiers of terror (Saudi Arabia, UAE and others) and its trainers (Pakistan for starters) destroyed after 9/11? Seems after 9/11 the US/EU/UK tightened their leach on countries such the above.

The US government is not really the force behind the "land for peace movement." What makes you think it is? World opinion is generally overwhelmingly in favor of appeasement of Islam and against most US policies regarding Islam. The intelligent morality evinced on this website would be the exception around the world. The US govermnent is therefore unable on its own to create and enforce the types of anti-islamic imperialism policies we posters at JW deem necessary. Russia and China, for example, covertly assist Islamic jihad wars in Sudan and Iraq; they have been doing this for years. There is a real possibility that the US government will find itself in a confrontation between these two countries in the future and that may have something to do with the about-face made by the Bush Adminsitration as such a thing could prove disastrous for America.
It looks to me like Uncle Sam has begun using recent Islamic appeasement policies in a vain effort to restore America's allegedly-tattered image around the world. We are being told repeatedly by so-called "experts" that anti-islam policies have damaged the US's world standing and this probably worries US government officials, because every time the US calls Islam on its actions it ends up getting politically attacked by its so-called "allies." There is a reason why Bat Ye'or calls Europe "Eurabia." (It is). European nations even send the Palestianians cash and have been doing so for decades--they are financing palestinian arab blood for land and no peace. How's that for anti-jihad support from our "allies." WHo else do we look to for help on this issue? Israel (which is too small to defend us against China or Russia).
Until you see that the US is NOT the problem here, you have no chance of seeing any foreign policy changes by the US government regarding islam. The US government, in order to change its present course of action, needs more international support from its allies. Until that happens, we are stuck with appeasement policies for Islam (I agree appeasement policies for Islam suck by the way; they'll never work to be polite about it).
