The MSA calls the shots. By Fiona MacLeod in The Scotsman (thanks to all who sent this in):
MUSLIM comedians have been banned from performing at a Scottish university in a move described as "ridiculous and undemocratic".Glasgow Caledonian University backed out of hosting Allah Made Me Funny: The Official Muslim Comedy Tour this month after complaints from its Muslim Students' Association.
Oceanic, which organised the tour, was told by the university that the group felt the act was derogatory to their religion.
Preacher Moss and Azhar Usman will still perform the show at Dundee University on 27 November with the full backing of its Islamic Society. Yesterday, Fozia Ali, the campaign executive with Oceanic, said that she and the comics were disappointed with Glasgow Caledonian University's decision.
She said: "It seems somewhat ridiculous in a democratic society, in the era of freedom of speech, that the objections of a few cause an educational institution such as Caledonian University to walk away from a contractual agreement."
Yes, it is.

Welcome to the world of Islam

I am sure the university would have had no problems, in fact, they would have stated boldy the university's defense of "free speech" and the need for "open academic discourse" if this had been a similar play about Christianity.
There is no humor in Islam. There is no fun in Islam. There can be no fun and joy in whatever is serious." -- Ayatollah Khomeini
The non silent minority strikes again
There may be no humor in Islam, but there is plenty on the outside. Unfortunately, the punchline is a threat; 'Silence! I kill you!'

How many of you saw the "South Park" three part episode about the terrorist attacks on imagination? Did you notice that Jesus was shown as imaginary along with Luke Skywlaker and assorted nursery rhyme characters? Did Stone and Parker have the guts to show Mohammed as an imaginary character? No, of course not. They value their lives.
That's the variable in the equation - the threat of violence - and it ain't a hollow threat either.
If little rich ______s like Stone and Parker don't have the courage to mock Islam, they should refrain from mocking all religions, even atheists. Their hypocracy is showing.
Pelayo,
From what I understand, its not Stone and Parker but a decision from Condhimmi Central.
Pelayo, "South Park" did an episode mocking Islam (and showing Mohammad), but Comedy Central censored the episode. Jesus is mockable. Mohammad is not. That's "free speech" for you.
And to think, we get our comedy brought to us on this sight by none other then Naseem.
Thank you Naseem.
And really, 'the world is a stage' we get our comedy daily from muslims.
A Muslim comedy? Hmmm, maybe it's just as well people realized there is no humor in Islam, except at a dhimmi's expense.
Looks like the ban is going to be reversed. Good thing, too.

Actually, it was Comedy Central that censored the image of Muhammad in that particular episode (although they DID show Muhammad in previous episodes). Parker and Stone were VERY strongly opposed to this decision. Blaming them for this is completely wrong. (I do question their attacks on Family Guy, which I think is a great show)
...and if anyone out there still thinks Trey Parker and Matt Stone are dhimmis: watch Team America.

Examples of Islamofacist humor -
Hassein! No wonder the bomb did not go off! You forget to attach the detonator! Ha - Ha - Ha!
I was all set to go on jihad, when I discovered I left my bullets in my third wife's cosmetic case!
He was too young to go on jihad. Who take their mother to help saw off the heads of the infidels?
I could go on, but there is no fun in Islam........
Do you hear the one about the mullah who issued a fatwa against himself?
Take my wives, PLEASE!
Whoa, you guys are telling Jihadist jokes and didn't invite me? SHAME on you!
Here's a favorite of mine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhV0Zlrrx9M
It is too bad that there is no more freedom of speech. The Islamic world desperately needs some comedy. I watched part of Al Brooks' Looking For Comedy in the Muslim World and thought it was great - exactly what is needed in the Muslim world. Al was not preaching Western doctrine on them, he was just trying to show them some humor and relate to them on a human level. Unfortunately, it was barely distributed as not to cause "offense."

That reminds me....isn't it about time for "Sands of Passion?" Wait while I grab a beer and a ham sandwich.

Don't forget to shake hands with an unveiled woman.
You want Islam-related comedy? Check out this youtube video. It's a ventriloquist act with a dummy whose name is "Achmed the Dead Terrorist"

Maybe the reason there are so few Muslim comedians is the audience fears he may "bomb" on stage. Couldn't resist that one
Haha, I LOVE Jeff Dunham's comedy--the man is hilarious!
If I've told you once, I've told you a million times NOT to leave your AK-47 around the house. Your little brother took it to play "Jihadis and Infidels" with your sister and you can just imagine what happened. Thank Allah, your brother was not hurt in the crossfire!
I got a million of 'em.
