BAGHDAD, Nov 11 (Reuters) - The quantity of Iranian bomb-making components being found in Iraq is increasing despite a fall in attacks and 20 Iranian-trained agents are still operating south of Baghdad, a top U.S. general said on Sunday.Extensive Iranian influence in Iraq remained evident, said Major-General Rick Lynch, despite signs of a possible easing of tensions between Washington and Tehran over security in Iraq.
"Iranian influence is dominant at many levels," said Lynch, whose area of command extends from Baghdad's southern suburbs south through Sunni Arab insurgent strongholds to the major Shi'ite cities of Kerbala and Najaf.
Lynch said his troops were chasing 20 "targets" he identified as Iraqi Shi'ites who were agents for the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps's (IRGC) elite Qods Force.
"They were trained in Iran and they're conducting operations in our battle space," Lynch told reporters. "They're Iraqis but they're IRGC surrogates and they're still out there."
Since we are still finding Iranian made bombs and will continue to do so, then why did we just release members of the Al Quds force last week? I'd like to know who made the decision to release them...
And as usual, not one damn thing will be done about it.
...I saw a program on TV last night where the US Military was displaying the tons of captured munitions....the roadside bombs looked like miniture German v2 rockets on sleds, (set them up much like a US Claymore mine...aim it in the general direction of the anticipated target and then remotely set it off when desired)....according to the soldier explaining the weapons, the markings (clearly visible on the ordinance) is Iranian, sometimes giving the date of manufacture and the name of the plant making the ordinance...He astutely pointed out if we are capturing more and more of these weapons, then more and more are coming in....the ones that are not captured will undoubtedly be used against the US soldiers and other selected targets....and it is the Muslims using them....
I believe it...and I believe in Banning Muslim Immigration....
