Al-Qaeda's deputy leader has purportedly said Arab leaders have betrayed the Palestinians by attending US-hosted Middle East talks last month.In an internet audio message attributed to Ayman al-Zawahiri, Muslims are urged to reject the talks.
The Annapolis conference has kicked off the first major Israeli-Palestinian peace drive in seven years.
Most Arab nations, including Egypt and Saudi Arabia, attended the talks.
"The Arab states and governments were present as false witnesses to the latest of the treacherous deals to sell Palestine," the message says.
It was posted on Islamist web sites on Friday.
Jihad call
The message calls on Muslims to "stand with your brothers in Palestine... and do not leave them alone in the face of... the compromising rulers and the Crusader-Zionist aggression".

Isn't there enough desolate, dusty, useless desert out there, for everyone?
I know, "Palestinians" don't see it that way. They're fixated on real estate that belongs to someone else. Israel bought it, settled it, and made it bloom, but rather than concentrate on emulating this practice, the "Palestinians" would rather steal from Israel.
I wonder if "Palestinians" aren't up to the challenge of making something out of what they already have. Are they so impotent?

And by doing so, Dr. Zawahiri illustrates what is so damned infuriating about the Bush Administration's u-turn in America's foreign policy vis-a-vis Islam: non-Muslims who stoop to doing favors for Islam will NEVER win ANY points at all for doing so within Islamic circles--it's a total waste of time, resources, and breath in every way imaginable (literally).
So go ahead. Knock yourself out in earnest (like the US government did with its recent Annapolis debacle) to aid and abet Islam-- and, (guess what), Muslim "radicals" will chop your head off ANYWAY!! It really doesn't matter WHY. Truly. This is just the way Islam operates and has operated for the past fourteen centuries and will continue to operate in spite of the strenuous objections of literally billions of human beings everywhere.
Will the world ever learn? Will the US governmment ever learn?
Really, what WILL it take for America to learn this? One would think Americans should have learned this lesson decades ago if we'd had any brains.
