Little girls in the militancy-hit Swat Valley in northwestern Pakistan hate a diktat issued by pro-Taliban rebels to attend school in burqas.Burqas are the only option some girls' schools in northwestern Pakistan have against being shut down or worse, being bombed.
"I want to study, but not in a burqa," said Shah Rukh, a 12-year-old girl enrolled at a primary school at Saidu Sharif in Swat.
Shah Rukh is just one of many girls who have learnt to speak out against the burqa diktat in the picturesque Valley.
"My 11-year-old daughter cries every morning when she has to wear the burqa," Mohammad Roshan, who teaches history at Jahanzeb College in Saidu Sharif, one of the main towns of Swat, told Newsline magazine.
In a private school in Mingora, the headquarters of Swat district, students were enraged when their principal received a letter from militants saying they would shut down the school.
"It is our right to get education," one of the girls in the school said.
A parent said his daughter "is constantly told by her teachers to attend school in a head-to-toe veil ever since the principal of the school received a letter of threat".
Advice to Afghan women: anyone who insists you wear a burqa, under threat of death- shoot them.
It's the only sure-fire cure for theocratic fanatics.

I thought there was no compulsion in islam. If you ask me compulsion is all there is in islam.
When you consider our wildly different takes on expression of femininity : Western women are free to wear as little or as much as possible , and men are attracted to varying degrees of scant or cover , compared to their ideal of female "modesty" (basically a euphemism for forced covering up of body and face summed up by the phrase "only I can see MY woman's beauty , because she is MY personal sex-toy...."), is there any hope of our societies ever co-existing .
I actually feel sorry for beautiful young women who should be out cluubing , enjoying life and getting laid , who are instead mummified , used as a personal slave by a neanderthalic hypocritical pimp and forced to live their lives abused , unappreciated and unhappy .

It would be just as accurate to say "Zionist Global Conspiracy forcing the Great Shaitan Christian Crusading Conspiracy forcing the apostate dogs running Pakistan forcing the hands of poor pious Muslims to resist oppression hit Swatt..."
Poor Swatt! Passive suffering Swatt. Poor Muslims! Passively suffering Muslims. It's never "...Islam hit Muslims..." -- it could never possibly be that.
