But...but...the Shi'ites would never aid the Sunnis, right? Right? Isn't that what the learned analysts always tell us?
Wake-up call for the learned analysts, were it possible to wake them up: "Iran behind flood of weapons to Taliban, MacKay charges," from the Ottawa Citizen (thanks to Jeffrey Imm):
KANDAHAR AIR FIELD, Afghanistan - Canada has challenged the Iranian government over concerns that weapons and bomb-making equipment are slipping across the border to Taliban insurgents in Afghanistan, Defence Minister Peter MacKay said yesterday."We're very concerned that weapons are coming in from Iran," Mr. MacKay told reporters, while visiting Canadian troops with Gen. Rick Hillier in Kandahar province.
"We're very concerned that these weapons are going to the insurgents and are keeping this issue alive. We've certainly made our views to the Iranian government about this known."
I'm sure the Thug-In-Chief will be quaking.
"Me against my brother; me and my brother against our cousin; and me, my brother and my cousin against the stranger."~ An Arab proverb
"We've certainly made our views to the Iranian government about this known."
...I am sure the Iranians are tugging at their panties as we speak....and giggling at the same time....
Unity against the infidel Crusader Zionists trumps intra-mural enmities.
WOW!! Big surprise! How long has it taken people to figure this out?
I'll bet the Iranians are absolutely scared to death something might be done in response now that they've been found out (sarcasm). I mean...after the way the west dealt their nuclear ambitions there's no way they could even dream of suppling weapons to any terrorist groups.
It's depressing to even think about all that's going on...

Yes, the Iranian leadership really must be terrified at the prospect of being beaten to death with a feather duster.
They always seem to find a way to set aside their family differences to aim their sights on the Infidel.
It must be really bad for the Canadians to actually admit there is a problem. No doubt the CBC will lay the blame on their own Troops. You know the way it works. If the Canadians just stopped Shooting the Taliban they wouldn't have this problem. More Dialog that's the key.
Well it's a good thing Canada said something about it. Beasty Boy Ahmadinijad, needs to be brought down a peg or too, and Canada's Mackay seems to be the man to do it. Letting Iran know Canada's views on the subject is just a fake left jab. The real punch comes when Mackay shakes his finger and stomps his foot. That will cause Beasty to pause and think, before he cracks up laughing...
Meanwhile Canada prosecutes Christians for publicizing Muslim hatred towards non-Muslims. You can't make this stuff up.
Pat -- That's a really broad statement. I assume you're referring to the human rights commissions?
They don't represent the current Conservative government and I bet if enough Canadians made a stink the current government would do something to limit the powers of those commissions. I am going to send an email to the Prime Minister after the holidays.
I am glad that a representative of the Canadian government is at least speaking up on this issue, unlike folks such as Condi Rice.
It's taken them almost 6 years to clue in on this one... wonder how long it will take them to clue in on the Global Jihad by the Islamofascist that started in 622 A.D.?
senor doeboy, none have clued in on anything, not even the greatest and most powerful nation on earth.

Here is what John Bolton said about sedition at Foggy Bottom:
State Department Leftists have defeated Bush

If we had high treason at this level in the Defense Department heads would roll right into Leavenworth.
A good question for each of the presidential candidates would be "what are you going to do about the pack of traitors in the State Department and the CIA?
These institutions need to be torn down block by block, treasonous bureaucrats fired if not put on trial, and replaced by a new agencies that could not hire any of these people ever.
Iraq will be looked upon as Bush’s greatest achievement. It is a tremendous start to the war on Islam and a great strategic move against Iran and other M.E. Jihadis – it will serve us well in the future.
Yes, great move, stalwart fortitude against formidable foes.
But some times, I do wish the man would just
SHUT UP!

Excellent satirical post, sounder, which begs a question. What is America doing about Bush? Answer: Nothing. Right there, Islamists can see that Americans are impotent against their president. So, what better for Islam than a president/commanderp-in-chief, who parrots "Izlum is Peace'?
Again, excellent post.
Thanks, Josephine, for speaking up on behalf of all of us Canadian posters!
ImNoDhimmi -- ; )
Prime Minister Harper has consistently taken a clear stand against jihadis and for Israel. He has done this more than once at the U.N. where it has been unpopular but pivotal.
I respect our current leaders.
I hope Canadians will contact the Prime Minister regarding all important issues, including the Mark Steyn/Macleans Magazine case.
'Islam is the religion of peace', this is really very easy, Geo Bush is right, and the rest of you are wrong. What do you know about Islam???
Have you ever kissed a Saudi King or held hands with a prince? Have you ever officiated at a Ramadan dinner? I thought not. What you don't understand is that kissing the King was Shahada for Bush.
There is something magickal, and transforming, about kissing the Saudi King, Bush fell immediately under his spell, and has not recovered yet.
It's possible that we already have the first muslim president in Bush. If not directly, then indirectly, as Clinton was the first black president...
