Pipes and Spencer, the mad hackerzz, strike again

The mad hackerzz

Imam Musa, the Washington, D.C. imam who wants to establish an Islamic State of North America by 2050, still thinks, in defiance of truth (and common sense: I am essentially hopeless with a computer, as Charles has noted), that Daniel Pipes and I are behind his Internet woes, as he charged several months ago. He also seems to think that I have somehow "slandered" him here at Jihad Watch, apparently simply by quoting him. Apparently Imam Musa thinks that no matter how ludicrous the charge, it's worth making it so as to deflect attention from his own jihadist sympathies.

"DC Imam’s Website Defaced, Faces Slander on Jihad Watch," by Farkhunda Ali for Muslim Link (thanks to Marked Manner):

"Their interference has no effect at all on our mission to spread the teachings of Islam," said Imam Abdul Aleem Musa of Masjid Al-Islam in SE Washington, DC.

Recently, the Jihad Watch Website defamed Imam Musa’s teachings of supporting self-resistance for Muslims by claiming that "DC Imam supports Jihad terror and Islamic supermacism [sic]."

Defamed? Really?

Jihad terror: Imam Musa's Myspace page said: "During a rally in July 1999 Imam Musa displayed a cashier's check made out to "Hamas, Palestine," to protest the 1996 U.S. law which declared Hamas a terrorist organization."

Islamic supremacism: Imam Musa's organization, As-Sabiqun, describes itself as "an Islamic movement that believes in the Islamic State of North America no later than 2050."

The slandering position of the Jihad Watch on Imam Musa derived from the information widely available in his tapes and lectures, which are being distributed nationally. [...]

"...information widely available in his tapes and lectures..." Uh huh. That, I'm afraid, is not slander.

According to Imam Musa, the newly developed Myspace Page received thousands of hits in a matter of six months. "Daniel Pipes and Robert Spencer closed it down because they knew how much positive influence it was having on people." [...]

Now this is getting funny.

Imam Musa told the Muslim Link he believes this is the work of the infamous Daniel Pipes, who has been known to Muslims for his anti-Islam bigotry and repeated public humiliation of Islamic leaders.

Mr. Pipes is the director of the Middle East Forum, a distinguished visiting professor at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, and a prize-winning columnist for newspapers such as the New York Sun, Jerusalem Post, L’Opinione, La Razَn, and Australian.

The Jihad Watch is a website that is believed to be controlled by Pipes to propagate negative propaganda against Muslims and Islam. The website considers Imam Musa as a leading national political figure in the American educational institutions and an influential teacher among the young African Americans who are reverting to Islam in the inner cities of the District of Columbia.

What a pile of hooey. I respect and support Daniel Pipes' work, but he does not "control" Jihad Watch or, in fact, have any role in it at all. Meanwhile, all the "negative propaganda against Muslims and Islam" that allegedly appears at this site would vanish if Muslims would stop committing violent acts and justifying them with reference to Islamic texts and teachings.

And does Jihad Watch or do I consider Imam Musa to be "a leading national political figure in the American educational institutions and an influential teacher among the young African Americans who are reverting to Islam in the inner cities of the District of Columbia"? Oh Imam, you flatter yourself. In reality, Art Moore of World Net Daily asked me about you not too long ago, and he reported this:

Spencer told WND he does not know of any direct influence Musa has on prominent Muslim leaders or on U.S. policymakers...

That is accurate, but my exchange with Art Moore, via email, was actually stronger about Imam Musa's insignificance:

2. Does this imam have any influence on "mainstream" Muslim leaders or on U.S. policy-makers, politicians?

No, but it is unclear how much "mainstream" Muslim leaders harbor similar hopes -- because no one dares question them about it.

Anyway, Imam Musa is still insignificant, although we still don't know how many among the more adroit and clever public faces of Islam in the U.S. actually agree with him -- because no one is asking still. But the hacking charge gets me laughing every time, so here you go, Musa: the Zionists are after you again!

UPDATE: This seems to be an old article, although evidently Muslim Link has never retracted it. Marked Manner sent it to me this morning and I was under the impression it was new; I apologize for any confusion thus created.

(I paid attention in my 1337-as-a-second-language course.)

Yes, I'll say guilty on the latter charge. He repeatedly humiliates Islamic leaders (the Islamist ones anyway) in public debates. So, by the way, does Spencer. My guess is the Musa was smarting after personally experiencing one such humiliation when he wrote this.

But bigotry? No. The statement is a classic example of projection.

Surely it is possible that by "establish an Islamic State of North America" the imam means developing a modest compound in some sleepy corner of the hemisphere? Maybe northern Alberta, or rural Arkansas*?

If it is theirs they can call it whatever they like.

*(I'm not wishing that on either place)

Here is the most telling comment

young African Americans who are reverting to Islam

Notice the use of the word revert rather then convert.

That is a very old article at Muslim Link. It has one comment written by Yvette on 2007-02-26 11:39:39. A search of their archives reveals that it is an article from February, 2007.

Robert, did Marked Manner Blog think this was a new article?

http://www.muslimlinkpaper.com/mybo2/index.php?option=com_content&task=archivesection&id=0&Itemid=53&year=2007&month=02&limit=9&limitstart=9

That is a link to a search result, I hope it works.

By perusing some of Islam Link's articles and judging from the number of comments, it appears that Islam Link gets very little traffic - like none.

He controlled you and made you say that.

BTW, Robert Spencer is now among the most-often quoted sources in Wikipedia in articles related to criticism of Islamic violence. Kudos.

Maybe it has been reprinted. The Muslim Link page carries the date December 7, 2007. And I haven't seen it before, to the best of my recollection.

Sorry, Marisol, for the typo.

Robert,
Muslim Link is a rather oddly designed website. Archived articles appear on the page with the current date. That article is not in the December postings. I only partially searched Novemeber.

It does not appear Imam Musa is making the charge again, his Myspace page does not mention it.

As I wrote earlier, Muslim Link appears to be a rather obscure and un-visited site or else most of the visitors don't know how to leave comments. If any article would draw a lot of comments, one about you and Pipes should draw a crowd. This article only had one comment. I can't imagine how Marked Manner found it.

If this is the same old accusation from Musa, and it has now been re-posted on JW, the risk is that Jihad Watch could be falsely accused of manufacturing controversy.

Imam Who? Such a predictable bold face liar. Now those who believe this guy, also believe in the tooth fairy.

"The Jihad Watch is a website that is believed to be controlled by Pipes to propagate negative propaganda against Muslims and Islam."

Negative propaganda against Islam needs no help. Islam is it's own negative help. Self propelling actually.

Simply reporting their self inflicted "negative propaganda" is more than a full time job.

Okay, Robert, stop showing off you superior computer illiteracy ;-)

This claim was on Shiachat, and presumably driven by Shias - those Rafidite dogs. Robert, why not use this as a pretext to lure in Saudi funding for Jihadwatch (HEH), claiming to oppose Shia supremacy, but in reality, turning it all against all of Islamic supremacy.

Just tell them that you're threatened by Iran and Hizbullah - particularly given the new NIE 'findings'.

Methinks Musa doth protest too much.

Pelayo,

If this is the same old accusation from Musa, and it has now been re-posted on JW, the risk is that Jihad Watch could be falsely accused of manufacturing controversy.

We're going to be accused of whatever they want to accuse us of, because, as we have seen, they have no regard for truth and accuracy. Marked Manner sent this to me today, and I thought it was new. If it isn't, I apologize.

I think what is meant here is "revert" as in "they abandoned their rough language and reverted to semi-automatic weapons."

Musa is primitive, but he is a good example for the whole perversion of this cult. But he is still dangerous and he can influence a lot of weak minds. If anyone thinks that only the oily, intelligent professional types are a threat to us because they can get get themselves into positions of influence they need to be reminded that it all works hand in hand.

The primitives prepare the ground, the intelligent ones support it.

Jihad with whatever weapons, but also with the mouth and the pen.

I don't care if it is old or new.

It is funny! Like the story of the zionist watermelons infected by HIV in Arabia....

I'm sure somebody can do better than this off-hand effort at punning, right? Absolutely.

Acronym making, I mean.

Well, since lying is acceptable under Allah and the Koran instructs Muslims to do so whenever they have to get out of tight situation, I wouldn't give this joker 2 minutes of my time.

I apologize to everyone including Robert. I believed this article newer due to at the top of the article it said "he Muslim Link. December 07, 2007 Issue." I am sorry I was wrong.

This guy just doesn't give enough credit to Robert Spencer in terms of satanic influence. Instead, he makes it sound like it's Dan Pipes who pulls the strings, when we all know how incredibly gifted, in an Islamically diabolical way, Robert is. Just reading one of his books will lead to apostasy.
Remember, Robert is the jinn who gets the Muslims drinking gin. He's the Lone Ranger of the counter-jihad. Say, who was that bearded man? I don't know, all he left was this silver tongue.

The Bidder of Jinn, Jewdog, and Master of Strong Spirits.

The Dujjal of Dujjals, my accursed Hebraic friend.

The Caped CyberCrusader.

"Spencer told WND he does not know of any direct influence Musa has on prominent Muslim leaders or on U.S. policymakers..."

I think this must be the part that was slanderous.

Musa read this, and was "humiliated". So much humiliation in the Mohammedan world...

Went to the As-Sabiqun website, what a laugh!!!

Actually, what incredibly horseshit, but hey, it's a free land where logic and love of fellow man conquers tyranny, especially the scourge of islamic tyranny.

I am starting to think that Tancredo has a couple of good ideas...

The arguments of islamists always make me laugh. They are like petulent children. They openly support the murder of non-muslims and the islamification of the world and then say "who, me? How dare you".

It's like the child with chocolate all over their face saying "chocolate, what chocolate? I ddn't eat the chocolate."

The saddest part is that there are people who are so afraid of "causing offense" that they will support people like this, even though the evidence of their guilt is available publicly.

Marked Manner, If there had been no comments to that thread at Islam Link, I might not have caught the difference. As I said on your blog, Islam Link is a peculiar web site, the archives aren't really tagged.
