I saw the abysmal inability of the Left and its jihadist allies to engage in rational debate on four separate campuses during Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week, and here Daniel Pipes, in a talk at UC-Irvine, gets a chance to explain the totalitarian mindset as it is vividly illustrated by a mass walkout. (Thanks to LGF.)
This is better than shouts and threats and chants, but it is still a long, long way from education. And this is the fruit of thirty years of indoctrination by the likes of Edward Said, Mark LeVine, Carl Ernst, Omid Safi: the propagandists who have displaced the educators in "instititions of higher learning" all over the country.
UCI is crawling with "Palestinians" and other Moslems, but more abhorrent are their camp followers that call themselves "Americans," but are enemies of everything for which America stands (e.g. freedom of speech, of expression).
The fault lies--at least for the "handmaidens" and "handlads"--with, as Robert states, the instigators (not educators) to whom American youth of college age are exposed.
As for the thugs of Islamic extraction--naturally incapable of appreciating the freedom under which they are allowed to operate--there is no hope of "reformation" for them, and--ah--the rest has to be silence (at this time).
"There is not a truth existing which I fear or would wish unknown to the whole world."
--Thomas Jefferson to Henry Lee, 1826.
The thing that strikes me is how many of these palestinians and other moslems can afford to go to collage. Anyone else that have the same thoughts? Could it be the saudies yet again?
This video clip gave me the chills! Is this a reality in all US colleges?
I was also a bit disturbed by this video clip. To think how many of them were sitting there and then stood up and walked out to show their strength.
If they do not like America or what America stands for, why don't they walk out of America all together and back to the countries they came from.
It truly shows that Islam is a cult.

Saudi Arabian Scholarship Success Speaks Volumes
http://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/ED0702/S00003.htm
Education New Zealand: Media Release 1 Feb 2007
‘New Zealand’s success in securing over 300 Saudi Arabian Scholarship students speaks volumes for the quality of our education offering and the way in which Universities and stakeholders have been able to work together to attract students’ says Robert Stevens, Chief Executive of Education New Zealand, responding to today’s announcement by Tertiary Education Minister Michael Cullen.
‘New Zealand’s universities have put aside traditional competitive rivalries and cooperated to rise to the challenge presented by the Saudi opportunity’ says Robert Stevens. ‘This business maturity shows that the principle of ‘co-opetition’ is well understood by our leading providers, and maximises the benefits for New Zealand. Education New Zealand strongly supports this approach, and has worked hard with the Universities in this and other markets to ensure that New Zealand is to the forefront when educational opportunities arise’.
Scholarships are an important area of work for Education New Zealand, which has resourced and employed a temporary staff member in Riyadh in Saudi Arabia for the past several months assisting with the administration and co-ordination required to participate in the large Saudi Arabian Government funded scholarship programme.
‘This is new territory for Education New Zealand’ says Robert Stevens. ‘The costs of coordination and support have been met on a per student fee for service basis, in a modified IDP type model. The Education New Zealand Board has strongly promoted and supported this initiative, and is mindful of the possibilities of other international scholarship opportunities. However, further initiatives will be dependent on a full evaluation of the Saudi scheme.’
‘Everyone is a winner from this decision by the Saudi Arabian Government to award hundreds of scholarships to students studying in New Zealand’ concludes Robert Stevens. ‘The students will benefit from the excellent education that our Universities provide. Our Universities are very experienced in satisfying the overall requirements of international students and the social and cultural opportunities flow strongly both ways. The economic benefits, both short and long term, are large. And the mana of our country and our educators is enhanced. We look forward to the incoming students commencing and enjoying their New Zealand experience’.
"...Everyone is a winner"
Yeah, right.

How disrespectful. This is really sad.
Gorkhali,
If you watch carefully, more than just Muslims walked out. I saw the kind of faces I sat next to in University classes in the 1970s. Things have changed immeasurably since then.
The irony is striking! muslims (and dhimmis) walking out on a talk on muslims' inability to engage islamo-fascism rationally. I'm sure the irony is lost on them though.
It sort of reminds me of Pope Benedict's quoting Emperor Paleologus II about Islam's violent tendencies, then Muslims the world over went out violently protesting and killing..
This reflects the totalitarian mindsets on campuses these days and in Islam. Their main mantra is you cannot question Islam, for to do so, would be politically-incorrect "hate speech." Kudos to those dragging Islam into the light of day, despite these protestations and attempts to stifle educated inquiry..
Very, very sad. The students are lemmings throwing themselves into the sea and they don't even know it.
I'm afraid God's blessings on this great nation are thing of the past.
America is going the way of Europe; Spain, France and England. Give it a few years. America is losing its moral and spiritual ballast.
Americans have lost their sense of morality, decency, generosity and righteousness.
Look what George W. Bush is doing to our only ally in the Middle East. Most Americans are fine with it. God will not continue to bless an unjust nation.
The remaining Audience should chant "go home" when walk outs like this take place.
The alliance of the Left with Islamofascism is very similar to the Nazi-Soviet pact of 1939. The Left in America, at that time, opposed any aid to Britain (lend-lease), protested the de facto US naval war going on against the Nazis (after the USS Greer was fired on by Nazi battleships)in 1940 and before 12/7/1941, etc. But the Left turned on a dime after the Nazis attacked the USSR on 6/22/1941. In fact, (I saw the footage on a History Channel program), the same people who were protesting outside the White House on 6/22/1941, calling for an end to lend-lease aid to England, were back in front of the White House on 6/23/1941 calling for US aid to England and the USSR. That behavior was not rational, the result of analysis.
We must not forget that the Left formed alliances with Nazis. The Left of today is doing the same thing. Authoritarianism and authoritarian behavior is in the DNA of Leftists and Nazis.
Hitler once said that rationality was "a burden". For that reason, he extolled the beast in man, and Stalin too was a deciever who believed man to be a beast. Don't look for rationality from Leftists or Fibrahim Hooper types, CAIR-liars, etc. They are retarded when it comes to logic. (Savage knows how to deal with their retardation in matters of logic and their demented attempts to intimidate and silence any rational criticism of them. Savage knows what they are about-and they are not about rationality. They are about power.)
To think how many of them were sitting there and then stood up and walked out to show their strength.

Note, however, that many of those who stood up were only moving forward to better seats that the islamists had left.
Part of the ideology of the Left is based on the delusion that supremacist ideology/exploitation is exclusively a Western European pattern. Actually, it is the pattern of all history. All of history is about invasions and the displacement or subduing of some lately "indigenous peoples". For example, the Arab-Persian Muslim invasions of India were very similar to those pf Pizzaro in Peru.
Islam is the rationalization for that kind of behavior. The difference is that West Europeans have become very critical and self-critical re such rationalizations, and Muslims are not self-critical and are unwilling to subject their belief-system to critical analysis.
But it should be subjected to critical analysis. For example, what the Muslim invaders did in India is one of the major crimes of histtory, and far more lethal to the the indigenous Hindu culture of India, than that of the British. In fact, British Imperialism usually (but not always) respected indigenous cultures. Islam does not respect indigenous cultures. Islam must dominate and destroy indigenous cultures, as they nearly did in Hindu India.
Islam should be studied as part of an Imperialist studies program. It is, at its core, the engine of Arab Imperialism. It is one of the best rationalization systems for Imperialism ever invented. (It's amazing how many Indians, whose Hindu culture was nearly destroyed by Arab-Persian invaders, bow to the gas station. What the Muslims did in India was very similar to what the Nazis did in the USSR.)
In history, the self-righteousness or the claim of being a "victim" in these matters depends on whether one's group is the f@@kor or the f@@kee. Muslims were definitely f@@kors of the indigenous Hindu culture in India. Their crimes have created a kind of sectarian Ireland in India. The gas station should be required to pay reparations to India (Pakistan, Bangladesh, India) for Arab-Persian Muslim crimes, and for the terrorist consequences of those crimes in our time.
The issue is power.
The values of the West versus those of islam.
At one time we used to talk of the assertiveness of the Soviets, the Bolshevics (The Bold Shits of the Clenched Fist), and here we have the current challengers.
One either rises to the challenge or one is steamrolled.
Frank - some very on target posts.
Why one needs to know and understand history.
Instead of paying reparations to India, the Muslim f@@kors act like they did a good thing there. Granted, there are many aspects of Hinduism that are no great shakes (caste system, e.g.), but Hinduism is the national, indigenous culture-religion of India. (BTW, Islam has its on Dhimmi-bash-caste system. Most of these systems have some kind of bash system.) However, I think the region (all of India) would have been much better off if the Muslim f@@kors had never invaded.

Thank you. I'm just an ordinary man who has a keen interest in history. Folks like Robert and the other Outdoor cat (who are impossible to herd as per Fitzgerald) and others may sometime find my ideas of interest-if they are read.
I don't like herds either. I try had to look at facts and draw my own conclusions, free of ideology-as much as that is possible. That pattern of mind has to be worked at. It's not easy. It's easier to be a Fibrahim Hooper retard when it comes to logical thinking. Just believe-without analysis or questions-and lie using the Quran as moral authority for his lies. That's easy.
This is no surprise considering that the left has been silent on almost all Islamic atrocities and bullying committed against non-believer, including that Teddy bear incident.
Ideology has replaced morality and rationality for those on the left.
We must not forget that the Left formed alliances with Nazis. The Left of today is doing the same thing. Authoritarianism and authoritarian behavior is in the DNA of Leftists and Nazis.

Good post. We have been brain-washed by 60+ years of leftist propaganda into thinking that the Nazis and the Left were enemies, and that it was the Left that led the fight against the Nazis. Actually both the Nazis and the Bolsheviks were socialist totalitarian statists. The difference was that Nazis were National Socialists, while the Bolsheviks were International Socialists. The main thing that the Nazis shared with the fascists was a strident nationalism.
Also note that many fascist regimes had comparatively good records in regard to their treatment of Jews. Fascist Spain and Portugal had some of the best records of any country in accepting Jewish refugees. The fascist regime in Italy protected its Jews from the Nazis until the fall of the regime and the Nazi occupation of much of the country. On the other side, the Bolsheviks were nearly as bad as the Nazis; and Stalin was planning a massive imprisonment of Soviet Jews in the Gulags, but his death stopped it from being carried out.
ebonystone-
Stalin was a Jew-hater. Part of the reason for the replacement of Litvonov with Molotov was because L was Jewish. It's amazing how the left ignores that, and glosses over the mass murders in the Ukraine. But what's a little retardation re recognizing-analyzing facts and subjecting Leftist dogmas to critical analysis among Leftist and Islamofascist friends?
Deception alters perception. It damages the deceiver's ability to separate fact from fantasy-desire. (Look at the Reverend Jim Nutter-he's a bad case of self-inflicted brain damage.) They become victims of a kind of mental retardation re fact/logic and can no longer cope with fact/logic and believe their own lies.
Fibrahim Hooper is a good example of someone who has become retarded on matters of truth and logic. It's a "lifestyle" choice and the permissions to deception in Islam reinforce the "moral authority" of the "lifestyle" choice to lie and disregard fact/logic (because of Islam's permissions to deception). Thus Fibrahim, on a program with Dennis Prager, can lie that a post on JW (deleted by Robert) represents the opinion of Robert Spencer-even though Fibrahim knows otherwise, even after the facts are brought to his attention.
Fibrahim and fiends (Leftists, U-Mar-Truth eeL, ed-209 Lakovic, CAIR-liars, etc.) are mentally retarded by choice. They practically have seizures when they are dealing with truth-fact-logic. They are potentially violent as a result of their deceptive brain patterns. It's sad.

More on most recent Pipes' UCI speech:
Video: Muslim Radicals Disrupt Daniel Pipes's Speech
Also the same tactic but more noisy (with chants of "Anti-Israel! Anti-Oppression!") at Pipes' speech at UCI in January, 2007:
Militant Muslims Disrupt Dr. Daniel Pipes' Appearance at UC Irvine
I have met Dr. Pipes on a few occasions and know others who know him quite well. He is a highly intelligent, highly informed and very decent and courageous man. He also knows the Islamic terrorist world inside and out. Few, if any, know it better. So this walk-out by Muslims and dhimmis at UC-Irvine only once again reveals the kind of two-fold ignorance the West is up against. Muslims plus their useful idiot accomplices in the West (virtually all of whom can be found on the left side of the political spectrum-----liberals who post here take note) will do all that they can to transform Western culture into something unrecognizable.
Also, there is an irony involved wherever Muslims and Westerners protest Daniel Pipes in whatever fashion. Dr. Pipes is of the opinion that there is a good Islam, one that can take its place alongside the other major religions of the world. Many who post here, including myself, are not so optimistic. I for one think all of Islam is flawed and hopeless. My only "concession" at this point in time (which could change) is that we should work with some Muslims against others. But I have no illusion about Islam in theory. As Ibn Warraq has noted, there are moderate Muslims but there is no moderate Islam. But were I a moderate Muslim (thank God I'm not), I don't see how I couldn't look upon someone like Daniel Pipes as a friend and protector. Few in the Muslim world are looking out for your average man-in-the-street Muslim more than Pipes. Irony indeed here and revealing yet again of just how difficult it will be to prevail against the world's most perfectly formed totalitarian system of all time.
This is 'theater jihad', it was planned and prearranged. Those signs were made prior to the lecture. Theater jihad and 'acting' jihad are close cousins while 'whining, crying and playing victim jihad', are also closely related.
At the bottom of this rotting heap you will probably find an Imam or wannnahhabi Imam, egging them on...Called 'egging them on jihad', which in itself, is a form of 'inciting to riot jihad'.
Can we send these people home? I am getting a headache...
So called Liberal universities no longer believe in "the Truth" but rather the idea that truth is constructed. Dialog is abandoned in favour of theatre or "actions".
This is quite ironic, since as Mr. Piper points out, liberalism is about dialog. In this case, the foolish non-Muslims goose stepped right out of the discussion and showed themselves to be the ignorant fools.
I've discovered this myself when asking why Muslim politics and theology is not placed under liberal critical scholarship and been labeled a racist. To apply liberal criticism to most other groups is fine, but to do it to Islam is somehow forbidden. It is an interesting phenomena. True liberal (in the classical sense) like Piper are called bigots, by bigots who think they are liberals. What a weird world we live in.
What troubled me more was the apathy demonstrated by the small amount of people in attendance. That worries me more. I think this too is a product of the "constructed truth" philosophy in Universities these days. If truth is just theatre, then why show up; why not just go drinking beer or watch TV. Nihilism rules where their is no belief in real Truth.
All of the protestors who walked out denied a seat to someone who might have stayed for the entire lecture. This was likely as much the objective as the visible demonstration.
To apply liberal criticism to most other groups is fine, but to do it to Islam is somehow forbidden.-James Martel
That's changing. Critical analysis is coming to Islam, whether they like it or not. Many people are very aware of the treatment (real aparthied) of "guest workers" in Saudi Arabia, of the history of Muslim invasions in India (and the devastating destruction of the indigenous Hindu culture by them), the fact that Constantinople was stolen.
Islam is a mass-murder machine that invades and destroys indigenous cultures. However, unlike the West, they apply no critical analysis to their predatory Arab based Imperialist "religion", no self-criticism-not even to the extensive Arab role in the African Negro slave trade. The hustle game of racism charges (BTW, what race is Fibrihim-the-liar-Hooper?, what race is Ed-209 Lakovic-("find my Nazi collaborator ancestors, please")?-or the racist pig Umar Lee ("I accuse Spencer of racism, but hurl racial insults at an African-American officer (watch my demented behavior on tape)?
Islam will face extensive critical analysis in the future. It should be part of an Imperialism studies program-not studied as a "religion".
"I for one think all of Islam is flawed and hopeless." --posted by Wellington
Agreed. Because Mohammed is NOT a "prophet," and because the Qur'an is a book of lies and plagiarisms.
Agreed, "flawed and hopeless" - that is Islam.
not studied as a "religion".

Right. Because it's not a "religion," - it's a mass-murder ideology, like Naziism.
Brigitte Gabriel calls it "Islamo-Naziism." Spot-on, as everything she says.
DownWithIslam,
"The light switch gets turned on, and the cockroaches scatter......."
lol, thats the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this too.
If you have not see the series that is part of the LINK I would suggest you do. There are 12+ 9 minute clips that cover the whole conference. The only thing I will comment on is the lack of directly confronting the problem from a spiritual POV. They talked all around it IMO. During the talk one of the panelist used the word 'secularist'. What he said was that "we need to get faith out of this and only confront Islam with logic and secularism."(not sure if that is the exact quot). He then said that the western world needs to remember its great values and virtues to counter the Islamic threat.
He is forgetting that the values and virtues have a very important spiritual element to them. This country was founded by men who knew the True and Living God and incorporated the Judea/Christian philosophy in the constitution. That is the problem with our country today it has forgetting its roots. When answering a question he criticized Christianity but was really talking about PC (political correctness).
Anyway it was very informative and is needed more and more in the country. There were disrupter's but they dealt with them properly.

Frank is right. We should demand oil as war reparations from the Islamic world for an Islamic war against the Infidel world.
The problem with these events is an unwillingness on the part of the Interested parties to object to others rude behavior. Little is shown in the way of support for the speaker by those who actually came to listen.
A vocal effort needs to be made by the intreseted Attendees to tell the others to be Quiet or GO HOME

Because Mohammed is NOT a "prophet,"
Posted by: darcy
I sometimes wonder if Muhammad is indeed a "prophet" - of the one who was cast out.
It all seems to fit so well. I do not call myself a Christian, so I find it difficult to get all worked up in a religious lather about it.
But still, contemplating the whole vast Islamic palette, the Machiavellian evilness of it, the utter lack of humor, the denigration of women, the hatred of music and even dogs - it all seems to fit so diabolically well.
