A computer nerd from Shepherd's Bush, West London, became al Qaeda's top internet agent, it can be revealed today.Younes Tsouli, 23, an IT student at a London college, used his top-floor flat in W12 to help Islamist extremists wage a propaganda war against the West.
Under the name Irhabi 007 — combining the James Bond reference with the Arabic for terrorist — he worked with al Qaeda leaders in Iraq and came up with a way to convert often gruesome videos into a form that could be put onto the Web.
Videos he posted included messages from Osama bin Laden and images of the kidnapping and murder of hostages in Iraq such as American Nick Berg.
His capture led to the arrest of several Islamic terrorists around the world, including 17 men in Canada and two in the US.
Associates linked to Tsouli in the UK have also now been detained. His 10-year jail sentence was increased to 16 years last month.
At first intelligence operatives who came across his activities dismissed him as a joke. It was only when anti-terrorist detectives began trawling through files on his computer after his arrest that they realised his true significance.

When did the arrests of the 17 men happen in Canada? I haven't heard a word about it, talk about keeping things hush hush.....I'd like to know when they were arrested and when they're going to be deported......

You talk about banning Islam. So do some ex-Muslims. They speak of it as child abuse. What other religion teaches children to hate others and that it is their right to own everything that is currently in the hands of a non-Muslim and that anyone who doesn't believe as they do has no right to live? Check islamwatch.org for more on the subject. People raised in Islam were told they weren't allowed to question anything about it except if it meant their faith would be deepened.
I fear that this will cause most experts to view Muslims as "brainwashed" and as victims of a 1400 year-long hoax. The Manson gang wasn't forgiven for murdering Sharon Tate just because they were taken in by a con man named Charles Manson, but the children of Mohammed will be. Safety in numbers. It's why Islam won't be banned anytime soon.

Uhh.. You mean like Kofi Annan's son for example? I'd rather put my trust in the crackhead around the corner than a diplomat's son. Or his father.
If you can't trust the poloticians here at home then how do you even think of trusting the ones who come here from other countries - exempt from any of our laws?
I'd say they all benefit from legal immunity and it's time to scrap that.
So if they make problems for our diplos in other countries why keep relations with them? Do we really need relations with each and every country in the world?
Let's strengthen ties with the rest of the Civilized World - while there is any left. Let's try and salvage the countries that are worth it.. We don't NEED iranians here at all.

I must say exsgtbrown has been very consistent. I have agreed with him all along. The problem is that diplomats have a special status. They can drive drunk, hit and if they kill they won't get prosecuted. They won't get prosecuted for anything bad they do. I am surprised that this kid was nabbed.
I am glad that they are not treating the diplomats the same when it applies to terrorism. Now they need to do something when they do other agregious crimes.

al-Daour is one of this guy's associates.

If only. Though Jeremey Paxman was looking grim-faced and peed off tonight on Newsnight. There was a major piece on it. I don't know if you can access this via the BBC's website but well worth watching if you can. It was excellent journalism, and pretty unusual for the Burqa Broadcasting Corporation these days. US investigators were involved in nailing this guy. There was international co-operation involving intelligence efforts across Europe, US and Canada.
It turns out the plots he was involved in were major. They involved Canadian and American citizens (I presume Muslims?) as well as Danish (Muslims?) who were foiled in a plot in Bosnia, and the Scottish kid, Mohammad Atif Siddique, a computer nerd from Alva, Clackmannanshire, who was arrested in April 2006 and sentenced last October. There was mention then about the Canadian plot when he was sentenced (apparently to blow up the Canadian Prime Minister) but all the sceptics poo-pahed it. Now they should feel ashamed. They kept pretty quiet about this Canadian link in the press and court proceedings and I guessed it was because something else was in the pipeline. Maybe this was it?
Later this month Amer Anwar, Siddique's lawyer, will also be in the dock on a contempt of court charge after he challenged the presiding judge Lord Carloway's ruling, claiming it was 'a state show trial' and other rubbish.
This latest conviction should vindicate Lord Carloway's handling of the case and hopefully help dispel the myth that circulated that the Canadian connection was a load of bull.

I think the 'seventeen men in Canada' were the ones that wanted to take the Canadian parliament hostage and publicly behead the Prime Minister.

Ive always thought that if Islamic Jihadists commit further atrocities on British soil, it may well indeed be English football thugs that become the founding instigators of England V Islam, civil unrest.
A lot of them are as blood thirsty as the Islamists, and some clubs "firms", are run with such military precision, I'm often dumbfounded as to why their "leaders", don't harness their skills into a more productive calling.
Many years ago, I found it some-what embarrassing to attend England soccer matches abroad, because of these said "firms", views, on any race, creed or culture that wasn't "English", and boy-oh-boy did they re-iterate these points with their mouths - fists - and various weapons close to hand.
At "home", - on English soil they seem content to beat the living hell out of each other, but as Muslims, by and large, have refrained from this national pass-time, (as usual they haven't integrated themselves at all), they could quite easily be construed as the new "opposition".
Further more, the English chant of - "Id rather be a Paki than a Turk", - isolates these potential factions further still, and points potentially, to eventual clashes on our streets.
