Yet the money just keeps pouring in. By Jonny Paul for the Jerusalem Post (thanks to Sr. Soph):
British taxpayers are funding hate education and violence in the Middle East, according to a new report published by a British NGO over the weekend. In the first of a series of papers analyzing the effectiveness of Britain's overseas aid, the Tax Payers Alliance (TPA), which lobbies for lower taxes and better government, has published a report looking at the effects of British aid spending in the Palestinian territories.
"Funding Hate Education" reveals disturbing evidence on the millions of pounds of British tax revenue has been funneled into hate education and promoting violence in the Middle East.
Some of the money is even being used to fund school textbooks that teach children in Palestine to worship violence and hate all non-Muslims.
"With moves towards a peace settlement at Annapolis and an American presidential visit to Israel, there is real hope that a peace deal can be reached," said Matthew Sinclair, author of the report and policy analyst at the TPA. "In order for a deal to stick over the long term, however, it is essential that the Palestinian population fully accepts it. This is why it is particularly concerning that British aid is supporting the radicalization of the Palestinian population, particularly the children."
Indeed.
Errata Sheet:
For "it is essential that the Palestinian population fully accepts it" read "it is essential that the 'Palestinian' Arabs fully accept it. [a peace deal]"
For "British aid is supporting the radicalization of the Palestinian population" read "British aid is supporting the radicalization of the 'Palestinian' Arab population"
But there is one greater error, not to be handled by a mere Errata Sheet, that comes from the assumption that it would ever be possible for the "Palestinian" Arabs, or any other group of Muslim Arabs, to genuinely -- and not temporarily, not feignedly, not as part of a strategy (openly and repeatedly stated to fellow Muslims though Israel, and the entire West, chooses to ignore these statements as if they cannot be serious or must simply be overlooked)-- accept an Infidel nation-state on land once possessed by Muslims as part of Dar al-Islam.
The larger Erratum Sheet, the one that needs to be understood by all those, including those who think they are defenders or supporters of Israel, must include the texts, the tenets, the attitudes of Islam.
And if those are grasped, and taken seriously, and not ignored, and not explained away, then the only conceivable hope for "peace" between Israel and the Muslim Arabs is that which relies on Darura, or "Necessity." The peace will hold, that is the peace defined as the absence of large-scale combat -- other forms of warfare short of open conflict will continue. Today Egypt and Jordan, both of which have signed "Peace" treaties with Israel, participate in world-wide campaigns of political isolation and propaganda-inspired opprobrium and economic boycotts, and every other conceivable attempt, short of that warfare, designed to weaken Israel until it can no longer withstand the steady pressure of the Muslim Arabs.
To be fair, we're also funding hate education in the UK too.
Has MEMRI translated any of the Arabic texts? It would be good to have examples of these textbooks on hand to show our fiscally responsible congressmen and women just how our money is being spent.
...I see where the Israels have begun electrical and water cutbacks to Gaze as a penalty for the continuous rocket attacks originating from Gaza...
....THe US, UK, and other nations should help, by cancelling all foreign aid programs and the immediate ceasation of all money going to Gaza....
...those 7th century miscreants in Gaza want to live like 7th century caravan raiders with nothing but booty and blood in their hands....
...and we do not have to help them...
Ban Muslim Immigration...not one more dime to Muslim countries.....
