NEW YORK — He pleaded guilty more than five years ago to plotting bomb attacks on American embassies, but the case against Al Qaeda member Mohammed Mansour Jabarah has been shrouded in secrecy until now.Jabarah was to emerge from the shadows Friday to be sentenced, likely to life in prison, for his brief career in terror. It included training with Usama bin Laden in Afghanistan and unsuccessfully planning to bomb embassies in the Philippines and Singapore, prosecutors said in court papers.
The Canadian citizen's appearance in a Manhattan courtroom will be his first time in public since his detention in 2002. Thursday marked the first time the court system made public any details of his case, which has been under seal since his arrest.
Prosecutors said there was a good reason for the secrecy.
Jabarah, 26, initially worked as a government informant after he was brought to the U.S. from Canada in 2002 after his capture in Jordan. He pleaded guilty to the terror charges that summer in a secret proceeding, without mounting a defense, and briefly lived in an FBI-arranged housing facility rather than a prison while he worked as a collaborator.
"Jabarah was extensively debriefed by the FBI and prosecutors and provided a considerable amount of valuable intelligence," prosecutors said in court papers.
That changed, authorities said, when agents searched his quarters and found weapons, bomb-making instructions and materials suggesting he intended to murder some of the agents with whom he was dealing.
He was transferred to a federal detention center in Manhattan and spent the next four years isolated in a cell where he was under video surveillance 24 hours a day. He was moved to a different prison in 2006. Talks to renew his cooperation broke down....
Court records show Jabarah was a major coordinator of a plot to bomb embassies in Manila and Singapore, but the attacks were foiled in December 2001. Jabarah was arrested after fleeing to Oman, Jordan, and was deported to Canada, where he agreed to plead guilty in the U.S. and provide information about other terrorists....
Agents found a newspaper article about the armed attackers in Jabarah's quarters, with a handwritten note at the top: "By Allah I will avenge your death."

Most of this theology was rendered mute upon the Christ coming into the world and his example gave Christians the way to live one's life and killing others is not part of the prescription.

Jewwho69 (troll?) Can't speak for those of the Jewish faith, but the ideal Christian would live peacefully in imitation of the Christ. The scripture quoted comes from the Old Testament. I have never met any Jewish folks who would take it literally. Personally, I'm a very poor example of Christianity and have a difficult time turning the other cheek.

And as to the other "passages" that you have provided, you failed to mention which Book they are from (with the exception of Exodus 31:14), so your list is hardly a reliable source of information; which is further proven by your other bogus scripture reference.

Shoddy references accompanying your shoddy argument. If Jews and/or Christians were acting in kind and cvlaimed justiofication from the Old Testament, you might have a point. All it would take for that, however, is a suspension of reality.
In the future, please refrain from referring to yourself and any Jew or Christian as "ourselves". I can assure you that I and many others share no commonality with nor feel any kinship towards, yourself.

It literally saved my life to read it last summer. I was reading and the man next door to the place I was renting temporarily went on a shooting spree against his family. He was running around in the yard with a gun right outside the window I sat by and I didn't hear a thing. I can't explain why I didn't notice a thing even when the cops and SWAT team showed up. other than it was really interesting reading.
When I finally looked out they had him handcuffed, face down on the ground.

The so-called “members of other faiths” alluded to by Muslims are nearly always just nominal members who have no active involvement. They are neither inspired by, nor do they credit religion as Muslim terrorists do, and this is what makes it a very different matter.
Islam is associated with Islamic terrorism because that is the association that the terrorists themselves choose to make.
Muslims who compare crime committed by people who happen to be nominal members of other religions to religious terror committed explicitly in the name of Islam are comparing apples to oranges.

In the last six years, there have been perhaps a dozen or so religiously-inspired killings by people of all other faiths combined. No other religion produces the killing sprees that Islam does nearly every day of the year. Neither do they have verses in their holy texts that arguably support it. Nor do they have large groups across the globe dedicated to the mass murder of people who worship a different god, as the broader community of believers struggles with ambivalence and a radical clergy that supports the terror.
Muslims may like to pretend that other religions are just as subject to "misinterpretation" as is their “perfect” one, but the reality speaks of something far worse.

I personally do not know if the accusation is correct of not with regard to Canada. I hope you are correct. I too also strongly disagree with Bush's policy because he does not who the enemy is. I will do some searching on the subject. If you could provide links to statements that have been made by your PM or the government that would help clear the air.
In many ways we are becoming an Islamic USA as well.

I found two links on the net regarding Canadian views of Islam that I think are interesting. I did find a lot of Pro-Islamic sites dealing with activities in Canada. I also realize that there are probably twice as many sites in the US.

I agree with the above commenters. USA and Canada are very much in the same boat. Both are caving in, in their own ways.
Just as alarming, is that the US is substantially owned by the Saudis, banking included, and growing.
The US national debt is held by major foreign powers, China, Saudi Arabia, etc. etc. amounting to massive amounts of money. In return the US is arming Saudi Arabia to the hilt with new smart weapons while in the meantime the oil addiction lives on, unchecked. Dhimmitude, wanted, intended, or not, is taking America apart.

Now let me get this straight. We have members of a religion who are supposed to be submissive to Allah and believe that nothing happens but Allah wills it who are behaving as if something WE did to kill one of their friends is not ALSO something Allah willed. They are blaming us for Allah's will? Give me a break. Either Allah is all powerful and nothing happens outside his will or we are responsible for what happened. In the first case he must take it up with Allah. In the second place he might have a case for being annoyed at us for defending ourselves.
Muslims don't have the faintest hint of logic in their natures. What Allah ordained is always somebody else's fault. (Of course, it is never their OWN fault.)
