Christianist blows himself up at funeral -- no, wait...

It still wasn't a fanatical Christianist, Andrew Sullivan hysteria notwithstanding. It was -- well, you guessed it. The Islamic jihadist attack tally keeps growing, while those Christians who mount "just as many" such attacks have some catching up to do.

"Bomber strikes at Iraqi funeral," from the BBC (thanks to Sr. Soph):

A suicide bomber has attacked mourners at a funeral ceremony in northern Iraq, killing at least 10 of them and wounding a similar number, police say.

The bomber walked into a tent where residents were mourning the relative of a local dignitary near the city of Baiji, a security official said.

Northern Iraq has been the scene of a number of recent bomb attacks.

The US military says al-Qaeda has regrouped there after being forced out of Baghdad and other regions.

....from now on , Muslims will have to dig extra pits to surround the coffin pit ....these new pits will be used a fox holes to be manned by infantrymen.....for funeral protection...the Muslim funeral will also have to have at least a two block secured area to protect the dead people from the deadheads....you know, the "other" Muslims....all participants in the funeral procession will be searched and electronically scanned...all non allowed people or vehicles will be turned away....new funeral security agencies will pop up....bomb resistant coffins will appear on the market....Billboards with the Muslim with a bomb in the turbin will appear with a red circle and a red slash....Muslim funerals will be conducted with a level of security formerly attributed to visiting state officials....

In Islam you really have to work hard to protect the dead....

The imcomprehensible part is why don't Muslim Iraqis' rise up against these acts in complete rage towards these unbelievable, and mind boggling horrors.

Imagine the reactions of Americans if such an act like this occurred here let alone the horror of 9-11.

"The imcomprehensible part is why don't Muslim Iraqis' rise up against these acts in complete rage towards these unbelievable, and mind boggling horrors. "

Mackie, I wonder why Americans and all other Kafirs worldwide don't rise up against this religious apertheid in rage?

Is it because our "Christian" president Bush declared Islam as "religion of peace" and set up Afghan and Iraqi constitution based on Sharia? Is it because Saudi Apertheid Prince keep our politicians in their payroll?

We are not rising up against uncontrolled immigration, Jihadi dawa, mosques financed and supported by the Apertheid Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or Bush kissing Saudi prince?

Yes, we need angry at our own people! Bush, Clinton, Obama, Romney et all!

Proud Woman:

With all do respect, the comment was a focus on the Iraqi people within themselves.

Mackie

Robert,

Whence the genesis of this word "Christianist?" I never heard of such a word. There is "Christian" and "Christianity" but grammatically there is no such word as "Christianist." I have seen some Europeans on other blogs use this term, and its non-sense baffles me.

I'd be curious about your take on this.

FredIsinglass: 'Christianist' is Andrew Sullivan's invention. Toe-curlingly puerile and adolescent, like the man himself.

What's up with these perverted death-cult zombies, so eager to feed the fantasy of Allah's carnal paradise, that they will mass-murder (during a funeral no less) in hopes of admittance to that celestial orgy?

I hope the Jihadist's parents are proud of the fine job they did, instilling the proper morals into their child. Perhaps they are already celebrating his glorious entrance into that eternal brothel. Hopefully the parents have more children to sacrifice to gain even more glory and honor.

At a funeral. Is nothing sacred?

Only death, apparently.

Northern Iraq? Is Baiji in the Kurdish area? So now the Kurds are hosting al Qaeda?

Nothing brutal and savage some of these people do, is a surprise to me, but I never actually get used to it. Every new atrocity is exactly that, a new atrocity. Every click on that counter to the left, is an abomination. The similarities, that are frequently pointed out here, of Islam and Nazism, is personified by torture, murder. The Nazi's did not
always just shoot people, they often went out of their way to make it as miserable as possible on the people they were murdering. This is also the way of Islam. There is simply nothing peaceful about it...

Ghouls and zombies always begin in graveyards.

ISLAM: the tomb of the Unknown Mind.

We seem to forget that we have neighborhoods in the USA where the people live in fear. They talk, they die, the gangs will make sure of that.

We can not expect people living under the suppression of Islamic regimes and sharia law to be braver than our own citizens in our crime infested neighborhoods.

That being said, I find it appalling that free men and women aren't willing to speak out against the Islamists. They are unwilling to fight the Islamists. They are unwilling to debate the people of the religion that spawn this hateful intolerance and the Jihad they have declared on us. A war that started when Mohammad became a prophet. I have seen people give up the right to free speech in the name of not offending Muslims.
I think Muslims offended by debate do not belong in a free society.

They can cover a statue of Jesus in sh*t and you will hear peaceful disapproval from many including non Christians.

The Pope quotes an man from history and violent protests, killings and the call for killings erupts all over the world in a day. Could you imagine a huge protest of Christians carrying some of the signs we have seen Muslims carrying. Like this one. "Behead those who insult Islam".

I find those signs insulting, never heard crap from anyone except that the Muslims were upset. BooHoo, cry me a river. Deal with it like all us non Muslims do everyday with what your fellow Muslims are doing as they scream Alla Akbar. It's your religion they are using for their hideous deeds, so do something about it or get the h*ll out of the way. That is of course if you do not believe in what they do in your God's name.

Nobody has the right to not be insulted if we did I am sure all of us including children would have been brought up against the speech police.

H*ll I'm insulted that the Muslims would think I don't have a right to voice my opinion about a religion that is breeding people to kill me.

Better yet I'm insulted that they do nothing about it.

I'm insulted that Muslims are insulted because I question their religion, nothing is beyond scrutiny, nothing.

I am insulted that my government tows the politically correct line instead of telling the truth. Muslims have shown me what Islam is. The tens of thousands, in every country protesting cartoons, a historical, and true I might add, quote. But where are all those same good Muslims when Muslim babies are killed my Muslim suicide bombers. The silence is deafening.

And I am insulted by the USA appeasement crowd.

Like I say nobody has the right not to be insulted, including me.

Just my two cents

What's different about an Al-Qaeda funeral?

More corpses after the funeral than before.

sorry, I hope the first one gets deleated.

tanstaafl-

LOL!

Killer!

It seems to me that these muslims were killing each other off at a good clip before they made the mistake of bringing their horror show to our main land, after we overran two of their sh@#$t hole countries they really went after each other, these people are stuck in the dark ages and i believe we need to leave them there if neccessary, if their own people want to put up with this kind of life let them have at it.

Could you imagine the reaction if a Christian went into a mosque in the UK and blew himself up in the middle of Friday prayers?? there would be outrage from every corner of the world. But hey, you know it is gonna happen sooner or later, someone will just snap!

The torture of the grave Islam and the afterlife
By Leor Halevi Published: May 4, 2007

COLLEGE STATION, Texas:

Hardly a week goes by without front-page news of Muslims dying somewhere in the world in a violent way. Despite all the media attention, there is little understanding among non-Muslims of Islamic views of death and the afterlife.

Everyone knows, of course, that after death martyrs go straight to the Garden of Eden, where they recline on couches, savor meats and fruits and enjoy the company of dark-eyed houris while listening to the sound of flowing rivers.

But what happens to the vast majority of Muslims, those who do not die as martyrs?

According to Islamic doctrine, between the moment of death and the burial ceremony, the spirit of a deceased Muslim takes a quick journey to Heaven and Hell, where it beholds visions of the bliss and torture awaiting humanity at the end of days.

The real price of fakes
By the time corpse handlers are ready to wash the body, the spirit returns to earth to observe the preparations for burial and to accompany the procession toward the cemetery. But then, before earth is piled upon the freshly dug grave, an unusual reunion takes place: The spirit returns to dwell within the body.

In the grave, the deceased Muslim - this composite of spirit and corpse - encounters two terrifying angels, Munkar and Nakir, recognized by their bluish faces, their huge teeth and their wild hair.

These angels carry out a trial to probe the soundness of a Muslim's faith. If the dead Muslim answers their questions convincingly and if he has no sin on record, then the grave is transformed into a luxurious space that makes bearable the long wait until the final judgment.

But if a Muslim's faith is imperfect or if he has sinned during life by, for example, failing repeatedly to undertake purity rituals before prayer, then the grave is transformed into an oppressive, constricting space.

The earth begins to weigh down heavily upon the sentient corpse, until the rib cage collapses; worms begin to nibble away at the flesh, causing horrible pain.

This torture does not continue indefinitely. It occurs intermittently and ends at the very latest with the resurrection - when God may well forgive Muslims who have endured the punishment.

Surely this violence sounds medieval. Belief in "the torture of the grave" indeed stretches way back in history. It appears in eighth-century epitaphs and in early Islamic traditions, which elevated this belief to the status of dogma.

But pious Muslims today continue to adhere to this belief. In invocations, funeral prayers, sermons, and popular literature, Muslims are frequently reminded to heed this punishment.

Anecdotal evidence suggests that many of them take it seriously. The psychologist Ahmed M. Abdel-Khalek, who has studied anxieties about death among Arab youth, has found that preoccupation with the torture of the grave remains acute.

The Egyptians and Kuwaitis he polled worried about this torture more than they feared losing a dear relative or succumbing to a serious, fatal disease.

Recently, an Islamist Web site posted a picture of an 18-year-old man exhumed by the order of his father. Only three hours had passed since his burial, but already his corpse appeared aged and bruised. Scientists, according to the story, affirmed that this was caused by the torture of the grave; and the father explained that his son had been a sinner.

Many Muslims commenting on the picture took it as a sign from God to stop sinning and as a reminder to pray assiduously for relief from the punishment of the tomb. Several doubted the reality of the picture, prompting the author of the Web site to remove the posting and to apologize for it. But even a skeptic who challenged the "scientific" evidence professed in this public forum his belief in the reality of the torture of the grave.

Muslims can escape the torture of the grave by dying as martyrs. In Islam the category of martyr does not belong exclusively to those who die fighting in God's path. According to Islamic tradition, Muslims who die in a fire, by drowning, in the collapse of a building or in some other way involving great physical suffering merit the rank of martyrs in the afterlife.

This means that immediately after death, their spirits do not return to dwell within mutilated or burned corpses. Instead they enter the Garden of Eden, where they receive new bodies, perfectly reformed, so as to enjoy the rewards of martyrdom until the resurrection. Those who have lost a relative in a violent and shocking death - in the bombings in Baghdad, for instance - may find some consolation in this belief.

...Islam is a disease....Ban Muslim Immigration..

Sarge Brown - Thanks for your posting, you learn something new every day.

I'd call these beliefs superstitions, but at the risk of insulting superstitions everywhere.

Leeve:
Well said, I could not have put it better myself. I whole-heartedly agree with you.
