The security services also arrested a group of Palestinians carrying maps of some stretches of the Israeli-Egyptian border and details on the forces deployed in the same region. According to the newspaper, the security forces also seized sophisticated arms and bombs in the same operation....

Expect these "arrests" to be used to take Egypt off the hook in the event others attack Israel from across the Egyptian border. (they're doing their darndest to make sure their border with Israel is safe but they can't catch everyone)

The point that this site makes, over and over again, is that "conflict resolution" in this matter requires an honest admission by all that Jihad and Muslim supremacist assumptions (for example, Jews deliberately distorted their scriptures (btw, where's the proof of that?) are deeply rooted in the Qu'ran and mainstream Muslim theology. Yet this truth is avoided at all costs by Muslims and ignorant or flunky non-Muslims. Hence we go on these never ending searches for peace, following road maps that go nowhere, because we do not desire to see the ugly truth about the core beliefs of Islam.
How can there be peace in the Mideast if we do not accept reality?

Hamas made it clear it is stepping up attacks on Israel, Hezbollah want's to get into the act.

Nasrallah is very long winded, but in part he said this:1- "The first and very important thing comes in the formation of an alien human barrier so strange that it remains separate from the structure of this nation and strong so that it can achieve the goal of separating the easterly Arab states from al-Maghreb (westerly) states".
Now that's pretty clear.
Then further down, he said this:
"I want to conclude this ceremony and celebrations with a clear promise. So ya think this'll impact Bush's hope that there will be a "Palestinian" state by the end of his term? These five onviously did not listen to Bush's State of the Union speech the other night or his comments when last visiting the area.

In that event Egyptians will do what they always do: put them on trial (maybe) and then shoot them (definitely).
Then again, they just might forget about the trial.
It will be done quietly and Palestinians will be told to direct their attacks against Israel and all will be well. It won't be a reason even to invade Gaza. The jihad will continue unimpeded so long as Hamas picks targets outside Egypt. Cairo might even pony up some cash for the jihadists.

Makes me wonder how that nuclear enrichment program in Iran is going. Could he be talking about a small nuke or at least a dirty bomb?

At first I wondered why you have been repeating this particular passage from Robert's Quran blog, with link, but then I realized you were taking a leaf out of Hugh's book.
Teaching requires repetition.
Every day this site gets new visitors. Thanks to you, any newbie who reads a story here, about the jihad against Israel, is getting pointed to the Muslim theology that underlies that jihad.
And if they follow the link to the Quran blog, they may become curious, read more widely in it, and learn much, much more.
It just amazes me, Hamas blows up the wall at the border to Egypt. Hamas makes this to some kind of a PR-stunt for the whole world to see.
But in reality, the real plan was executed among those Gaza people crossing the border for humanitarian purposes. Among them there was committed jihadist with the goal of entering Israel, not at the border close by, but way down, close to Eilat.
There will NEVER EVER be peace among these f-cking lunatics. Israel knew this was coming and told Egypt and the world... and of course, it happened, like clockwork.
