Why should the U.S. and Europe import jihadists?

GODE, Ethiopia: Ethiopia is detaining "many" ethnic Somali Americans and Europeans on suspicion of terrorism links and participating in a separatist insurgency [i.e., jihad -- Ed.] in the southeast of the Horn of Africa nation, the top regional official said Friday.Abdullahi Hassan, the most senior official in Ethiopia's Somali region, told reporters many of the foreign detainees were involved in "anti-peace" and "international terrorism" groups.
Hassan refused to say how many detainees are held or say which European countries they come from, just that there were "many." He said their embassies had not been informed.
The U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa, through spokeswoman Darragh Paradiso, said: "We have no information on American citizens being detained and are following up on this issue with the government of Ethiopia as we speak."
All the detainees are natives of Somali region who had settled abroad and they include men, women, young and old, Hassan said.
"They are buying ... weapons, mines, and explosives (that) are destroying us," he said.
He said the detainees would face trial in Ethiopia, but would not say what charges they face....
note that islam or moslems are not mentioned in the story at all.
More misunderstanders! I hope that the US embassy gets the name of the somalis soon and that any with citizenship have their citizenship revoked. (Perhaps this is something that Rep. Myrick's caucus can look into.)
Go Ethiopia. We need to back them up.
Maybe Ethiopia will invade as a way to fight them over here rather than fighting them over here. Don't blame them if they do.
This indeed serves as a serious conundrum for the State Department. If, by chance, Somali-Americans are captured, incarcerated, and prosecuted by the Ethiopians, what will the State Department do?
Will they:
1. Come to the defense of our "citizens" and rescue them, or
2. Leave them to fend for themselves.
I would presume by the context of the article that such detainees are "Muslim". (Not stated, but surely assumed.) Ethiopia has the right to detain and prosecute those who pose a risk to national security. The United States, Canada, Australia, and many other countries do the same.
But here is the problem for the US: We have (or might have) a Somali ex-pat caught in the act of subterfuge in a third-party nation. The ex-pat happens to have US citizenship.
We're back to either Option 1 or Option 2. Seriously, I would like an honest evaluation of this problem.
On a lighter note, at least we might have one less cab driver waiting in line as the MSP airport, and one more the ADD airport.
Centers of Somali immigration are Lewiston (Maine), Minneapolis, and Nashville. Foundation and government grants intended for "immigrants" have at times been monopolized by Muslims who quickly learn how to manipulate groups intended to support or promote "refugees" for purely Muslim ends.

Oh, wonderful news! We just moved to the Nashville area. To the boonies, fortunately.
We visit Nashville on occasion, and I've been struck by the number of obviously-non-native men trailing women in traditional moslem dress. Not more than one, so far, though...
It's too easy to picture those Somalis with AKs and RPGs, after "Blackhawk Down."

You can bet that if the U.S. embassy finds that Ethiopia is holding Somali Americans, they'll protest and do everything they can to spring them so they can be reunited with their families in the U.S.
They should never have been in this country to begin with. We need them like we need a hole in the head.

Saw a 30 second sound-bite tonight on the news about Kenya, not a word about Islam, only about 'unrest'- but the pictures were clear: the stone-throwers and troublemakers were (as always) Muhammedans, clearly recognizable with their kaftans & coffee-filters, some with henna-dyed beards.
As for the jihad against Ethiopia it is of course idiotic to detain these people. They went there to kill and die for Allah and it is no good for either side to hold them captive. The Ethiopians should give them what they want and export them to their 72 virgins...
This is the sort of thing which I find really infuriating.
In the 1980's & 90's islamists of pak origin were going over to pak, getting training, taking shots at Indian troops, getting stopped at UK customs and just being allowed in.
Why can our leaders not sit down and draw up a list of who their allies really are ?
Any islamist who is involved in any activity, be it fund raising or fighting or anything which aids the jihad has their and their families automatically stripped of their citizenship, assetts confiscated, entire family deported ?

Some times I think maybe what we need is a 9/11, Madrid, Mumbhai type event here, that should wake people up.

It's my guess this story can be repeated dozens of times about cities and communities all over America.
I can half understand allowing Iraqis and Kurds to immigrate here; You can chalk that up to feelings of guilt. But, what justifying does our government have for importing millions of Somalis. Our troops were in Somalia for about two weeks, but now Solmalis seem to have a right to open immigration to our shores. They have no skills that can possibly be of any value to this country,and the only thing they bring with them are the habits learned in their dysfunctional and primitive African homeland.
Can anything be done to stop this? yes, but nothing will get done until the American public wakes up.
We will be electing a new President next November, and it appears that Americans will give the job to either Hillary Clinton or Barrack Obama. Which of these two do you think will do anything about Nashville? Clinton would be bad enough, but you can be certain that Obama will do everything he can to swing the doors open even wider to African immigration. One need only look at the Afro-centric church he attends to guess that.
And when they start pouring into this country in the millions, send them all to Iowa. Nashvillians know, Iowans don't have a clue.

They are permitted to apply to bring extended family members (often their additional wives disguised as 'sisters' and other close relatives). That in addition to high birthrates means the Somali population is the US is expanding dramatically.
We, taxpayers, pay their airfare which they are supposed to repay, but more often than not they skip out on the 'loan.' Within 30 days of arrival they are eligible for food stamps and many other forms of welfare. They get assigned a caseworker employed usually by a "church" group who helps them find employment.
Recently Tysons Food in the cities of Emporia, KS and Shelbyville, TN have riled up local citizens by bringing hundreds of Somalis to work in meatpacking plants.
They are put on a fast track to citizenship. And since we brought the first Somalis in this program in 1991, I suspect many have become citizens and have US passports.
