Man named Jihad caught driving with loaded gun, tazer

He was just out for a casual strive in the countryside. If his name were Joe Christian Fundamentalist, we'd have cause to be concerned.

By Edith Bevin for The Daily Telegraph (thanks to the Constantinopolitan Irredentist):

A MAN who had ammunition in his pocket and a loaded pistol on the back seat of his car when he was pulled over told police he was, "going hunting with my uncle".

The gun was ready to fire when police pulled over Mahmud Jihad, 26, in Rooty Hill on Tuesday.

Also in a bag in the back seat was a tazer, Mount Druitt local court heard yesterday.

A further three pistols - including a Russian semi-automatic - were found when police raided Jihad's Shalvey home later the same day.

Along with the cache of guns and ammunition found in the bedroom of the builder's labourer, was $59,550 in cash.

Jihad yesterday faced court on 15 charges, including having a firearm in a public place.

The court heard Jihad was sentenced to 12 months' jail in 2005 for similar offences.

Thank You for the lead-in, Mr. Spencer. People, take a look at all of this Christianity-bashing on the LSU Reveille (2 Columns). Hope you'll comment. Nothing mentioned about Islam, of course.

I guess Jihad didnt learn his lesson.

"going hunting with my uncle".

Hunting for infidels

This is impossible! Absolute, utmost baloney!

Don't you know - there are no handguns in England! Zilch! None! Not a single one! They have a handgun ban, so only police and military can have them.

The mayor of Toronto keeps calling for a handgun ban IN THE WHOLE COUNTRY of Canada, because a gangster killed another gangster on school property with a SHOTGUN. When the legal guns are gone, only police, military, terrorists and the criminals are going to be the ones who have guns. Nice?

darcy, actually, the writer's point is that conservatives, including himself, would rather back hypocritical conservatives than out-and-out liberals who have also been hypocrites. He also states that Christians are like every other human in that people will do things they know are wrong and hence can by hypocrites.

Oh, that's Australia... Makes no difference.

A further three pistols - including a Russian semi-automatic - were found when police raided Jihad's Shalvey home later the same day.

I agree with Charles Martel, I thought the UK was supposed to have such stringent gun-control laws. Looks like when they outlaw guns, only Islamic jihadist outlaws will have guns.

Rooty Hill is in Australia? Huh.

eve_anne_gelical --

What I took exception to was the horrific mudslinging against Christians (funny way to say you're "for" something), and then at the end of the column, he says "terrorists." Not "Islamic Terrorists," just "terrorists."

No, the column was too nasty against Joe Christian, and at the end the writer is too cowed by political correctness to use the word "Islamic."

But, thanks for reading! There's another Christianity-bashing article at the bottom.

This is nothing like a boy named Sue, it it?

Is it possible to deport him? Without his pistols? Someplace warm and sunny with a lot of sand.

"Also in a bag in the back seat was a tazer,..."

...could be used for hunting slow armadillos....

OT, to darcy -

Did you see the opinion article on the Republican primaries? Jack Collens wrote:

"This year's Republican presidential race has already produced numerous surprises: John McCain's resurgence, Mike Huckabee's emergence as a viable political force, Rudy Giuliani's decline and Mitt Romney's inability to win any of the primaries thus far. Each exemplifies the volatility within the Republican party. None of these, however, are as surprising as the relative success of Ron Paul's campaign."

HA! I posted a comment (we'll see if it gets posted or stays there): "Romney's won 2 so far! He has more delegates than anyone...boy, this article really makes you look the asshat!" (probably should've mentioned the strong second place showings where he didn't win just to piss him off!)

Miss_Anthrope - thanks for reading and a comment!

A female Mohammedan writer whose strong suit is Islamic propaganda will be coming aboard the R I've heard.

Well !!
Don't that make ya feel safe.
12 months ...........
Yep, that'll teach him.
10 out of 10 for the PC clowns that dished out this "sentence".
Didn't work last time BUT this time ......
surely.
Yeah right.
Crawl under that rock you cowards until Jihad Mo blows someone's head off.
Oh !
That's right ... when he does that, he'll get sentenced to ....maybe 6-12.
Oh that's a relief.
We all sleep so well knowing that we are protected by those who brook no nonsense when it comes to our safety and freedom.
Well .......
F*** you I'll keep my "security" next to my bed for LL's like Jihad Mo

Name - Mahmud (Mohammed) Jihad. Perfect.

It simply does not get any better than that...LOL

Don't Taze me, Mo!

special_guest. Yeah, Benny Hill is in England.

Freedom -- I'm with you, and I would like to add that he needs to be put to death, because he will not be rehabilitated in prison from something that is in his blood.

These guys are committed terrorists for allah, so new laws need to be enacted to deal with this special breed of criminal behavior. Forget 12, or even 16 years in prison; they need to be put to death now, because they will only murder others when released. What's the point in housing and feeding them until they do. No point.

Why do muslims name their spawn "jihad" and other such absurdities? There are millions of muslim "ramadans"; "jihads"; the ubiquitous "muhammad" or a variation thereof; "islams"; and other asinine monikers associated with the ROP. Don't they have any desire to be different, unusual, unique? Guess not.

I've never met a Christian "Christmas", "Easter", "Epiphany", or "Advent", but there are some "Christians" and "Jesus's" out there. I once knew a guy named "Christian" but he was an atheist.

"I once knew a guy named "Christian" but he was an atheist"....LOL!!!!

The claim was *we are going hunting*.

So giving the benefit of the doubt to these nice young men, one must assume that hunting first requires ..

the tazer to reach out and subdue, then

a choice of three handguns on the back seat

to pistol whip the prey into submission.

Odd way to hunt rabbits . . eh? = TG

'Rooty Hill' - yup, that's its name - is in outer western suburban Sydney. Western/ southwestern Sydney is the main Mohammedan colony in Australia.

I shall have to check the 'Sydney Morning Herald' and the 'Australian' to see if they're covering this story - it wasn't up on ABC news online just now.

j-not-a and duh-swami: I too noticed the giveaway name - Mahmud Jihad. Says it all, really.

And yet Coughlin got sacked in the USA for daring to suggest that just perhaps, core Mohammedan beliefs have something to do with the fact that they're waging war - which they call Jihad - against everybody else all over the world!

The thing I'd *love* to know: why the good old NSW highway cops pulled him over in the first place. And then, why they decided to search his car (perhaps they have good memories, given his prior conviction).

I suspect that Mahmud Jihad wasn't paying no attention to all them pesky Infidel traffic laws that good Muslims don't have to obey unless they feel like it. Just like those two wannabe jihad raiders in North Carolina who got pulled over by the cops for speeding - and THEN the cops found the interesting stuff in the boot.

Full marks for observation to the police who, presumably, pulled him over for a traffic infraction and then - from his demeanour?, or perhaps because someone with sharp eyes spotted the weapon - decided to search his car...and check his record...and ransack his house. (I do hope they thought to go through his library - a Quran? Jihadist literature? beheading dvds? imam sermon tapes?...his computer and his internet/ email...and his mobile phone...and I hope they're interrogating his cousins, brothers, uncles, father...and checking which mosque he attends, and who is imam there).

Wouldn't we all like to know what the *other* 14 charges are?

OT, to susanp - English speakers don't call their kids names like 'Easter' and 'Christmas' but sometimes they borrow from French or Italian. Names like 'Pascal' (refers to Easter), and 'Noel' and 'Natalie' (refer to the French and Italian words for 'Christmas'); such names often mean the kid was born at that time. PS - the English narrator/ protagonist in a Dick Francis thriller I read, was called 'Christmas' (but nicknamed 'Kit').

Any kid named Joshua has the same name as Jesus, just in a different form.

Mohammad Jihad....he's a walking inner spiritual struggle

PS - folks who thought this was a UK story were fooled by the name of the newspaper. The 'Daily Telegraph' is *also* the name of a Sydney paper, less high-falutin' in tone than the Sydney Morning Herald or the 'Australian'.

Running a google search within Australia to see if anyone else was running the story, showed that they weren't so far, but turned up some interesting results.

First up was the story Robert posted here.

Second was an old court list from the same area: somebody named JIHAD BARGHACHOUN (I kid you not) was suing some furniture company back in 1998. Gee we're stupid. They call kids 'Jihad'. They talk about 'jihad'. All their books and videos and songs and histories tell us what JIhad is. And nobody's worried?

Third up: a story, on a Muslim web forum, about an open day at - wait for it - THE ROOTY HILL MOSQUE.

I do most sincerely hope that the police are turning that mosque inside out and upside down.

Mr Mahmud Jihad said he was 'going hunting'. Somehow I think he may have had more than kangaroos or wild pigs in mind.

And how does a 'builder's labourer' obtain $56 000 in cash?

Final thought:

he said he was going hunting with his uncle.

If he really *does* have an uncle - or uncles - I hope the police are giving Uncle/s the third degree, too.

There are plenty of Hispanic kids named Jesus. That's ok; I have no problem with it. But if they name a teddy bear after themselves, well I'll be calling for Jihad!

hey dumbledoresarmy, it's not platypus season down there, is it?

No reason to keep a cautiously watchful eye on anyone named JIHAD! Mahmud JIHAD!! Maybe they'll be a little more security conscious with his uncle KILLALLUNBELIEVERS Ahmafreakindinejad!

Uh Huh - Mohammed Jihad. That says it all.

If anyone's curious about 'Rooty Hill' just try Google earth.

It's a suburb in western Sydney, about 35 km from the CBD, with a stop on *the* main railway line that runs west over the Blue Mountains: you start from the Harbour Bridge/ CBD and head slightly west-north west, passing Parramatta and Blacktown; Rooty Hill is before you get to Penrith.

I should have said, the area is *one* of the Mohammedan colonies - a better-known colony is in the southwest around Lakemba, which is about 15 km southwest of the CBD, near the main *southern* rail and highway route out.

I will add that the suburbs immediately before and after Rooty Hill - Blacktown and Mt Druitt - contain a large community of Aboriginal Australians, including many families descended from the Dharuk traditional owners of that part of the world, but also many who have migrated from other parts of Australia. Sadly, many of these people are as damaged and vulnerable as African Americans and they form a high percentage of our prison population - where, alas, they are being exposed to Muslim daawa big-time. I am sure that that mosque in Rooty Hill would be attempting daawa among the Aboriginal Australians in its neighbourhood.

As always, Islam zeroes in on the weakest links and the points of tension, even while its bribers and sweet-talkers go for the centres of power (academia, media, politicians).

In fact, it has occurred to me to wonder whether Mr Mahmud Jihad may not be a convert rather than a born Muslim.
