ROTTERDAM, 25/01/08 - Labour (PvdA) politician Bouchra Ismaili is refusing to resign. She is ignoring requests from her party to step down because she lied about signing a petition of the radical Muslim organisation Hizb Ut Tahrir.Ismaili, a Muslim immigrant of Moroccan origin, is a PvdA member of Rotterdam's Charlois district council. Last week, she wrote in an e-mail to a citizen: "You filthy idiot. WE ARE HERE TO STAY hahahahahahhahah DROP DEAD". The email contained reams more similar remarks and urged the man to convert to Islam.
Ismaili's email was a reply to an email in which the citizen, Jos Parbleu, had confronted the council member with statements by Okay Pala, a spokesman for Hizb ut-Tahrir Nederland. Pala had said in newspaper De Telegraaf: 'We do not agree with freedom of expression, as we reject democracy' and 'what you need is a big bomb attack!'
The PvdA leadership in Charlois did not consider it necessary to boot Ismaili out. But meanwhile, during a meeting of Charlois district council, it has become clear that Ismaili also signed a petition from Hizb Ut Tahrir and lied about it.
The Hizb ut Tahrir petition stated: "It is time to rid ourselves of a culture that damages our Islam." Initially, Ismaili denied emphatically that she signed the petition. But when opposition party Liveable Rotterdam (LR) produced a printout of the Internet page with her signature, she had to admit it....
The Labour party will suffer no matter what, but it can do some loss-limiting by removing her from the party. And while it ought to be unnecessary to ask, nowadays one must ask: is Bouchra Ismaili even a Dutch citizen? Or has the Western fad and folly of giving the same rights as citizens to those who merely happen to be, geographically, within the borders of this or that Western country, extended, in the suicidally "tolerant" Netherlands, to allowing such people to take part in political life as she, apparently, so dangerously does?
Great. A lying Muslim in a place of authority in the West.
This goes to show (if we needed more evidence) that you can't trust people from that religion. I am surprised that she didn't attack the Jews during all this process. Or did she, and I missed it?
Secondly, what kind of a western party has in its ranks someone so undemocratic as this?

Somali-born former Dutch MP Ayaan Hirsi Ali, known for her outspoken criticism of conservative Islam, seems unable to avoid controversy.
Caught up in a row over her Dutch citizenship, she resigned from parliament in May and said she would leave the Netherlands.

If, or when, she resigns there could be an excellent opportunity for her to become a British politician. With her outlook and record she would fit in perfectly with our current bunch of cretins.

I checked out the old thread, the part where she calls the Dutchman something like foreigner ("allochthonous") is interesting.
It is interesting because this is a common insult for Egyptian Christians in Egypt (different language of course). I wonder if this is a common insult for all the people Islam subjugates and steals from on the subjugated people's home turf?
Of course the Copts, like the Dutchmen, were there first, and they're far more native to the area than the Arabs and Mamlukes that followed, and culturally more native than those who converted.
It fits with the general trend of insulting and accusing purely on the basis of projection, and impervious to facts or to actual motives, drives, and interests of the one intended to be attacked. The intended impact may be to make the person feel inferior, but that actual impact is just the impression that they are dealing with idiotic psychotics... luntics running the asylum... which makes the target just as angry, of course.

It is also especially interesting if you've ever spoken to anyone involved in religious outreach to Muslims. These haunting empty feelings are reportedly rampant. Very sad... and exactly why, the moment missionizing is allowed and apostates aren't killed, you will see a major revival of Christianity in the Muslim lands.

A man has been charged with child cruelty after two teenage boys allegedly took part in a religious ceremony involving flagellation.
Syed Mustafa Zaidi, 43, of Station Road in Eccles, is due before magistrates in Manchester on Friday.
Greater Manchester Police said the charge relates to the treatment of two boys, aged 15 and 13, at a traditional Ashura ceremony.

The newspaper report is misleading. It doesn't make it clear, but the phrase "It is time to rid ourselves of a culture that damages our Islam" is not the title of the petition, but in fact comes from Bouchra Ismaili's own contribution to it (see link below)

The petition itself is titled: Stop! Oppose the Defamation of Islam" (I got a Dutch-speaking friend to translate).
Ismaili's contribution is cut and pasted from the second contri to the petition, and in English reads:
"It's time to get rid of a culture that damages our Islam and to spread the true beauty of Islam. Only so will we grow in our Islam. We mustn't put in energy to change others, but rather change ourselves."
Now, call me a pinko, but to me this reads that the signatory is criticising Islamist attitudes, and stating that rather than demanding that others change, Muslims themselves have to change.
(a search on the name of the original signatory revealed support for various liberal causes - inter-religious peace petitions, environmental issues, animals rights etc. Not the kind of things that normally interest ranting Islamists).
No doubt Ismaili has been sacked because she lied (I don't know if simply signing a petition constitutes "ties" to an organistation ). But could we have her wrong on this one?

This woman is most likely a Dutch citizen- and also a Moroccan. The Dutch law allows for citizens from Turkey and Moroco to hold double nationality, since those countries do not allow their citizens to renounce their citizenship. Mind you, the law does not allow citizens from other countries this privilege.
There was an outcry last year in the Netherlands as Geert Wilders submitted to the Parliament that no one holding public office should be allowed to have double nationaly (serving two masters...) Immediately all parties closed ranks against him, as usual.

For the Dutch, autochtoon is someone who is "originally" Dutch, that is, born in the Netherlands, to "originally" Dutch parents. Allochtoon is someone who may be a Dutch national and have a Dutch passport, but is the son or grand son of an immigrant, even if he/she and their parents had already the Dutch nationality. So, it is not so much an insult as a descriptive term. The problem here is that the allochtoon is telling the autochtoon that she (the newcomer) is really at home, while he (who's always been there) is now out of place.
