The Union officer refused to smoke with the chief. The chief then, suspecting subterfuge and ill-will ..., well, the Union soldiers were killed.

No, we can't depend on George Bush. I'm thinking more about Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Arc. Remember that scene where that huge Arab confronts Indy with a big old sword, and Indy wearily pulls out his gun and shoots him as he continues on to find Marion? That has got to be one of the best scenes in any movie I've ever seen.

Perhaps Muslims are more like Communists than anything else. Palm trees are the life support the desert oasis. It used to be that a family needed a minimum of sixteen palm trees to survive.

In the Empty Quarter of Saudi Arabia, there are still oases at which the traveler aims, and the palm trees there determine whether he will go on or not.

The palm tree is so much a part of muslim cultural imperative that, to this day, you will often receive a courtesy round of dates and camel's milk upon arrival in the home of desert Arabs of any wealth or class.
