Islamic Tolerance Alert from modern, moderate Jordan. "Jordan arrests eight Evangelists," from the Media Line News Agency (thanks to Davida):
Eight people have been arrested in Jordan for propagating the Christian faith, according to a Saudi newspaper.Jordanian security forces arrested eight people, mostly foreigners, after they were caught distributing missionary material to Bedouin families north and east of the Jordanian capital, Amman, the Saudi daily Al-Watan reported....
Sources said they were "enticing" impoverished youngsters by paying them money and calling on them to marry foreign girls....
Evangelism is a practice frowned upon in the Muslim world, and often associated with Western imperialism.
The Jordanian government prohibits conversion from Islam and the proselytizing of Muslims. The Shari'a courts have the authority to prosecute people trying to convert Muslims, according to the United States State Department's annual report on religious freedom.
Muslims in Jordan who convert to another religion face social and governmental discrimination, the report said.
Hmmm. Now, why is that?
And
Demonic cults always need to offer some carnal "bribes" in order to get converts. Islam offers sex ("what your right hand possesses") and money, as seen above. The jordanians know this, but, in good islamic way, are projecting this into the west.
"There is no compulsion in religion."
But then, there is no other religion but Islam.
I'm sooo confused!
Didn't Queen Rania attend Catholic schools? Haul her in, and see if she remembers anything.
"Wal-Mart apologizes to Muslim woman"

Darcy, the comments after the article are unreal.
Did the cashier really believe it was a stick-up?
OT I was in a Wal-Mart last week when a heavily veiled woman was shopping. Another shopper commented, within her earshot, "there's one of that filthy pedophile Mohammed's followers. Did you know he consumated a marriage to a 9 year old girl?" The guy went on and on, and another woman shopper said, "that is all lies, leave her alone."
I mentioned to her that it was all accurate, and she looked a little shocked. I asked he to check it out and she muttered that the guy was still rude, which he was. Rude but accurate.
"I mentioned to her that it was all accurate, and she looked a little shocked."
Good for you, CapGig! I don't believe I've seen you in awhile, or perhaps we've just been posting on different articles. How you be?
I am restoring a century home and also work during tax season, darcy. How have you been?
I have been trying to fight the good fight at the universities and schools my children attend, as it pertains to misinformation and flat out propaganda regarding Islam.
"The Jordanian government prohibits conversion from Islam and the proselytizing of Muslims."
-- from the article above
Thus the Jordanian government interferes with freedom of conscience.
The Jordanian government also prohibits, on pain of death, the sale of land to Jews.
The Jordanian goverment, or rather the "people" of Jordan, who consist of both Western Palestinian western "Palestinians" (that is, the so-called "Palestinians") and Eastern Palestinian western "Palestinians" (that is, the so-called "Jordanians"), are almost completely, and violently, hostile to the United States and to Americans.
Nonetheless, the government of Jordan, and therefore after the ruler and his retinue take their cut off the top, the people in Jordan, do keep receiving, offering in return nothing tangible, and nothing intangible as well, such as the hint of a glint of discernable gratitude, large sums given to them, by the American taxpayers, which taxpayers had no say in the matter, but who, I am sure, if they knew that this antisemitic and anti-Christian and anti-American regime and its people (never mind the smiles of Queen Noor on Ophrah, or the mediagenic wife of Abdullah, or thick-necked Abdullah himself, not a patch on his father in the plucky-little-king department of propaganda), were taking the money and running, that they would demand a Stop Payment on all checks made out to the Government of Jordan. At least one hopes the C.I.A., that used to pay for Hussein's endless supply of call-girls, has stopped that practice.
And then there is the little matter of Jordan's special most-favored-nation status, reflected in those little "Made in Jordan" tags that you can see on clothes (and if you share my sentiments, not only will you not consider buying clothes "made in Jordan" by what turns out to be, non-Arab slave labor, but will cease to buy any clothes, made even outside Jordan, by any manufacturer who produces anything in Jordan). The Arabs who run those factories import non-Arab workers, and subject them to horrific conditions, and often do not even pay them. This has all been written about in The Times, but few seem to follow the story. The "most-favored-nation" status merely allows Arabs in Jordan to behave, toward non-Arabs, just as cruelly as do the rich Arabs in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf. All made possible by that "most-favored-nation" status, and those tariff-free textiles, all supposed to create entrepreneurial activity but, in fact, merely leading to cunning exploitation of the system, and of the non-Arab humans who are actually employed, then jettisoned if they dare to complain, to do the work.
Won't someone in Congress raise the matter of labor conditions in those Jordanian factories?
And won't someone in Congress raise the issue of what we get for our money, the money sent to Jordan, as to Pakistan, Egypt, and of course the "Palestinians"? What exactly, in policies that would not have been engaged in otherwise, or in goodwill, have we obtained, or rather, have we bought? Or if we had even managed to rent, temporarily, such goodwill, an argument might be made for the rental. But we have bought nothing for ourselves of value. We have not even rented, temporarily, something of value. We have merely encouraged the Muslim belief that the Infidels are there to be fleeced, and eager, or so it appears from Amerian beahvior, to be so fleeced.
Baah, baah...have you any...etc. Yes sir, yes sir, three bags full.
Wal-Mart grovelled Monday in a letter signed by Rolando Rodriquez, a vice president and regional general dhimmi. It was released Tuesday by the council's invader chapter.
"I can assure you that the kufr in question was disciplined in accordance with sharia as a result of the situation," Rodriguez said without disclosing details.
Rodriguez said employees at the Riverdale store would undergo "further brainwashing" specifically in the Islamic Jihad and Muslim Monoculture.
I just hope none of you work for Wal-Mart you infidoll
When Al-Jazeera reports "8 arrested in U.S. for conducting da'wa", then dar al harb will be in good shape.
OOps posted this on the wrong page;-(
Hugh, excellent point. Contrast the U.S. treatment of South Africa during apartheid--trade embargo, condemnations, endless reprisals--can't we adopt the same policy toward Jordan ('our ally!')?
But of course, we'd have to do likewise with Saudi Arabia, Qatar, etc.
OT I was in a Wal-Mart last week when a Nazi SS uniformed man was shopping. Another shopper commented, within his earshot, "there's one of that filthy white supremacist Hitler's followers. Did you know he gassed 6 million Jews?" The guy went on and on, and another shopper said, "that is all lies, leave him alone."
I mentioned to him that it was all accurate, and he looked a little shocked. I asked him to check it out and he muttered that the guy was still rude, which he was. Rude but accurate.
Jordan, another fecal country propped up by US. A useless sop to the Hashemites after they were booted from Arabia by the Sauds.
Trading with, let alone arming these toilet countries and territories (Gaza, Fatah-land) is a waste of our resources.
Nothing is produced by the non-country "Jordan," but discontent, hatred, and Mohammedan street Arabs that do nothing.
Why we allow such abominations as the St. Louis minaret and mosque, when any Christian attempts at spreading the Gospel is forbidden is beyond understanding. Of course, our leadership's (not only the administration but also the establishment at State, DOD, and Congress people) relationship with Saudi money can be blamed.
