I know this has been mentioned before. However, this is the way they're likely to do this:

1) Fill entries with similar comments until they are too numerous to manage effectively - if this is the case, JW will simply be characterised as a 'hate site' by Muslim apologists.
2) In response to 1, the institution of moderated comments will produce comments such as 'JW only allows feedback which supports its view, therefore the agenda of the author is self-evident.'

Either way, they have something to say about it. Typical mob bullying. This isn't to mention the fact that you're already dedicating some posts to posts from other readers themselves, which is a pleasant side-benefit.

If it becomes an endemic problem, a section on how they're using the above to affect the site might be in order. Any perceived success will only embolden such posters.

Unless we take action, and recognize how well organized they are, then they will increase in Power and in Population - this is obvious - but why do our Governments continue to allow uncontrolled immigration and building of Mosques?
I see old beautiful Christian churches being given away by the Anglican church in England and being converted to Mosques!

It is our governmental leaders who need to be called to account - and Now! And we need to get back on our knees in Prayer for the One True God.

Allah is the Moon God - and there is but One God - so who is the Moon God Allah - he is the Fallen Angel Lucifer!

I too, am an atheist. Hopefully I am not a bat-s**t crazy one, like the letter-writer.

I find all religions silly, but some are also quite dangerous. The more extreme forms of Christianity that discourage the teaching of science, the sorts that encourage their members to handle poisonous snakes, the sort that protest soldiers' funerals. All of these are dangerous.

Yet they pale to mere annoyances when held up to even "moderate" Islam. These "peaceful servants of Allah" hold as an article of faith that I will be killed, converted, or enslaved, as will the entire non-Muslim population. They believe that all other faiths are lies and only their faith should be allowed to exist. They believe that the very women who gave them birth are to be subjugated.

I'm normally a very even-handed guy about matters of faith. Live and let live. Don't tell me how wonderful your deity is, and I won't mock you for believing in "invisible sky-wizards."

But Islam is another kettle of fish. I'm almost willing to put a footnote in the First Amendment "free exercise" clause that says "Except for Islam."

The problem with a pedagogical effort that relies on the presentation of data to the average Western person (be he an "elite" or more common) is that such data will not enter his mind directly -- it will have to be processed through interpretive frameworks (indeed, most of the time this is how all humans process data; but that's a separate epistemological subject).

One mechanism of the interpretive framework that is dominant in our time concerning the processing of data about Islam and Muslims is the equivalency theory. In this theory, it is axiomatically assumed that what pertains socioculturally and psychologically in the West must also pertain in the Muslim world -- at least sufficiently so, granted minor differences here and there. (There are many varities of this particular mechanism, but here I deal only with one.)

Thus, when one presents the data of such ancient texts as the Qur'an, Hadith, and Sira to most Western minds, the obviously objectionable nature therein will rarely be denied and will nearly always be correctly understood, in the abstract. But the objectional nature will be immediately fit into the mechanism that has for its model the broad and deep secularization and "decaffeinization" of religiousity throughout the West, particularly in the massive fact of so many millions of Jews and Christians who do not take to heart, or even blithely ignore, or even quite often repudiate or deconstruct, the objectionable passages from their own holy texts and derivative exegesis of old. It is assumed axiomatically that this same secularization and "decaffeinization" pertains sufficiently among the vast majority of Muslims. For the data to have a rational effect in the interlocutor's mind, this axiom has to be countered with an argument.

This axiom is one of many different, yet intricately related, axioms within the Equivalency Mechanism. And Equivalency is not the only mechanism of the interpretive framework. There are many other different mechanisms in the framework, all intricately interlocking with one another in a system of gears which altogether, for most people in the West in our time, has the successful effect of protecting Islam and the vast majority of Muslims from any substantive criticism qua Islam.

So the presentation of data is not enough. Nor is it enough to be growing a jungle of complex analyses that do not with laser-like precision counter the dominant framework that regularly and efficiently frustrates the rational assimilation of objectionable data about Islam and Muslims (indeed, such an imprecisely lush & fecund overgrowth of analyses often has a counter-productive effect).

In conjunction with that presentation is needed a counter-framework of arguments to anticipate the many interlocking gears of the many different mechanisms (and sub-varieties of mechanisms) in the dominant and mainstream framework which has become, over time, a part of the normative, universal paideia of the ordinary Westerner -- a framework that has the effect of re-routing and sanitizing objectionable data about Islam and Muslims.

Well, we have heard that is the way they will infiltrate our country. Immigration and uncontrolled birthrates. It is happening in Europe now. It is the stated way that some muslims have said they will infiltrate us. And what their next goal is to get as many muslims in public office and other institutions as possible. They already have one in Congress who is questionable - who should be kicked out like that guy in the Pentagon, Islam.

This is their jihad against us because they know they won't win militarily. To birth us to death. To immigrate. And to infiltrate.

They are the patient ones - they have nothing else to do - go to the mosque, learn to hate some more, and grow in numbers and then start their crud. They have been working on getting muslims schools to make sure their children are versed in hatred and they are now oh so welcome in our Universities that are paid for by the saudis. Our media is intimidated as is our TV, businesses and radio to say nothing against muslims.

I've been around enough atheists to spot an impostor when I see one. antor, I agree with your theories on how most people tend to digest the hideous reality of islam. But I will never understand how these people, when confronted with a daily barrage of empirical evidence that confirms the doctrinal and historical horrors of islam, continue to deny the obvious!

Nor do I understand why many objective and unbiased people easily and immediately recognize the diabolical nature of islam even before they discover the more sickening and revulsive details of this lovely religion. They just seem to instinctively "get it". Why is it so easy for some and impossible for others?

I would add to your take on Christianity that even the most extreme examples, such as "the sort that protest soldiers' funerals" you mention, actually prove the opposite of what the 'moral equivalence of religions' crowd hopes it proves.

The fanatic in charge of protesting at soldiers' funerals is one Rev. Fred Phelps of the Westboro Baptist Church, based in Topeka KS. What they despise is what they see as America's acceptance of homosexuality which is an abomination in the eyes of God. And it's true that the bible contains many passages condemning homosexuality in no uncertain terms and describing what will come of them in the hereafter.

What's not noted, however, by those using this as an example of moral equivalency between Christianity and Islam, is that although the Fred Phelps crowd (in this example) is as seemingly rabid and fanatical as any Muslim fanatic, the Fred Phelps fanatics do NOT take it upon themselves to murder the offending homosexuals.

Why not?? Because unlike the Koran, the Bible does not condone such violence, even against the worst of sinners. So although it's true that textual literalists / fundamentalists exist in both Christianity and Islam, only the Islamic variety feel commanded to kill.

Then of course the objection comes about Christian abortion clinic and doctor bomber-killers. But those incidents are so few and far between that they can only be honestly categorized as outlying anomolies which do not remotely reflect any fair reading of the texts in question. Same as with the Fred Phelps types who are too few in number to hardly justify mentioning, let alone using to illustrate moral equivalance. Fanatical yes; killers no.

Good question, one I've wondered about a lot. I think at bottom it has to do with the fact that the dominant framework about PC MC is built upon many irrational foundation stones, and there will always exist a certain number of people in any society (free or otherwise) who for various reasons can cut through irrationality and get to the heart of the matter. They won't all do it the same, or to the same degree (and lord knows I have a lot of disagreements with fellow Jihad Watchers on many issues), but I think the ability to resist irrationality no matter how dominant and ordinary it has become in the context of a given popular worldview, is the key. Why certain people have more of that ability than others, I don't know. Perhaps in 100 or 200 years, after the West will have freed itself from its own PC MC paradigm, some sociology grad students will be studying this.
