It bears repeating that all of the Wahhabists' material comes from the Qur'an, ahadith and Sira -- anti-Semitic material which may be ignored, but has not been repudiated on a large scale by Muslims and Islamic institutions.
"Kosovo Jews uncertain about future," by Dana Spritzer for the Jewish Telegraphic Agency:
... There are some 50 Jews left in Kosovo. Belonging to three families, or clans, they all live in the city of Prizren, a rare gem of ancient architecture amid a landscape devastated by war, poverty and Communist-era concrete.
The United Nations took over the administration of Kosovo in 1999 after a brutal conflict between Kosovo Albanians seeking independence and Serbian troops controlled by strongman Slobodan Milosevic.
Ethnic Albanians account for 90 percent of Kosovo's population of 2.2 million. The Albanians are Muslim, but largely secular. [...]
Distressed by a war they watched from the sidelines and facing an uncertain future, the Jews of Prizren are gloomy. When the war started, the other Jews in Kosovo - the 50 living in the capital city of Pristina - fled to Serbia, where they spoke the language and felt a part of the culture. But those in Prizren, where Jews speak Albanian and Turkish - there is a large Turkish population there - stayed.
Now, with Kosovo having broken away from Serbia, those like Votim Demiri, Quono's father, who made a decent living under communism, find it hard to leave the homes they built, despite fears of growing tensions with their neighbors.
"There was not anti-Semitism in the past, but with the Saudi charities here now we are seeing a Wahabi influence for the first time," Demiri said, referring to the fundamentalist Islamic ideology Saudi Arabian clerics have tried to export, with little success, in the Balkans. "I think the newspapers these days are not portraying Jews in such a positive light."
"Little success" is debatable. Not that it wouldn't be great to see the Saudis' efforts fail miserably, but the extent to which they're failing or not relevant to Kosovo Muslims' hostilities toward Jews only underscores the fact that there is more to Islamic anti-Semitism than the current wave of Saudi influence.
The word "Kosovar" deserves attention. It is a not an ethnic term, but rather definitionally geographic. "Kosovars" in truth are not "the inhabitants of an area called Kosovar, but rather the Albanian inhabitants of a place called Kosovar." It is clear that the use of the term "Kosovar" and the "new nation" of Kosovo are an attempt by ethnic Albanians not to draw attention to the fact that "Kosovo" is merely a second Albanian state, ripped out of Serbia, and out of Serbian history -- a continuation of what the Ottoman Turks had done over centuries of oppression. That oppression by the Ottoman Turkish (i.e., Muslim) overlords, over time caused some of the locals, that is some of the Serbs, under extreme pressure, to "turn Turk" and become islamized, in order to escape the onerousness of the devshirme (the forced levy of Christian children)and the Jizyah. Those "Bosnians" for example, who are merely local Muslims in a part of historic Serbia, are in fact the descendants of Serbs (just as Pakistani and Indian and Bangladeshi Muslims are clearly the descendants of Hindus, and to a lesser extent other indigenous non-Muslims, such as Buddhists and Jains). Were there a way to appeal to them, and to their own family histories, rightly understood, and if they could see that they, too, or their ancestors, were victims of Islam, perhaps some might jettison that "identity" of Islam and become Serbs again. One celebrated example of someone who was born and lived as a "Muslim" -- in the sense of having that as his assumed identity -- is the film-maker Emir Kusturica, who threw off the crushing lendings of Islam, imposed on his ancestors, and had himself baptized in the Serbian church. Few outside of Serbia appear to have noticed this important and heartening example. More should.
The world of the heedless, imperilled Infidels -- some of whom have already given up, saying "what can we do" other than "to hope that we will be able to integrate or modify the behavior and views of the Muslims in Europe" -- and by that they mean accepting, and doing nothing to resist, the presence, ever-expanding, of Muslims outbreeding the non-Muslims in terrifying fashion, because the "mind-forged manacles" of Western "tolerance" -- a diseased because nearly-suicidal version -- renders powerless to act the very people whose civilizational brains forged those self-same manacles. "We can't do this"? Why not? Because "we just can't." Why not? Because our own traditions of "tolerance" will not allow us to do so -- the very same traditions of "tolerance," that relate to, that are derived from, a civilization whose continued existence and sturdiness are imperilled not by a superior alternative, but by nothing more than mere numbers, by the carriers of not merely an alien creed, but an alien and a permanently hostile creed.
Hugh-- my mistake; I changed where I had used it above. At the time I was thinking in terms of region/general area (e.g. New Yorker, Floridian), not sovereignty.
I'm on my way.
This spring/summer I'll be going there on a 'fact finding mission'-
those of you who want to join me know how to contact me.

In fact the word "Kosovo" is Serbian meaning "the field of blackbird", so if Alabanians want to call themselves "Kosovars" and ask for independence that's huge paradox. Their "prime minister" is born in a place called "Srbica" (Srb - Serb, Srbica - "Serbian village") and if you read his wikipedia article it just says he is born "northwest of Drenica". Well, too bad, "dren" is also Serbian word meaning "cornel"...
Kosovo is Serbia
"When the war started, the other Jews in Kosovo - the 50 living in the capital city of Pristina - fled to Serbia, where they spoke the language and felt a part of the culture."
That's not quite true, the Pristina Jews were torched out of their homes. Even Mr Singer who was a big critic of Slobo, was disgusted that NATO stood by and watched as KLA gangs threatened the lives of the Jewish families in Pristina.
Interestingly The Prizren Jews are having difficulty being admitted to Israel. I think one of the Prizren "Jews" said his mother had been buried in a Muslim cemetry?!?!?! I'd be amazed if Israel admits them.
Whether Israel sees them as Jewish or not of course is irrelevant. They have no future in Prizren. The Wahabbis are coming in loud and strong, building mosques on the remains of Christian church ruins.
"There was not anti-Semitism in the past"
But how can that be? After all, Slobo was a beast.
BTW For all those who thought that Slobo was some Evil dictator, he only banned ONE book whilst he was ruler. Which one? The Protocols of Zion. You know that book. It's number one in Turkey.
""I think the newspapers these days are not portraying Jews in such a positive light."
But how can that be? NATO now run Kosovo.
This is not happening somewhere in the middle of some desert in Timbuctoo but in the middle of Europe.

Extreme ‘tolerance’ in modern Western civilization, what led to misbegotten ‘multiculturalism’, cannot and will not work without reciprocal tolerance by (intolerant) Islamism. This is the primary cause for Western ‘suicidal’ policies of accommodating Muslim demands (within their own societies!) which never end. Footbaths, special sport exemptions, tall minarets, loudspeaker (haram?) calls to prayer from the mosque, special foods for Muslim prisoners (they’re well represented in the prison system), special treatments of Muslim children in schools (they won’t learn addition because “+” looks like a Christian symbol… and they gave us Arabic numbers?), all these demands are being accommodated on the grounds of multicultural tolerance. But it cannot and will not work, because the supremacist nature of Islamism sees each such accommodation as another victory, another subduing while not to be subdued, against the freedoms and civilization of the Western world. “Giving up” is not an option, because they will never reciprocate with any kind of decency in kind. The breakaway of Kosovo from Serbia is but one small step towards Muslim arrogance demanding more concessions from so-called ‘infidels’, demands that will never cease no matter how absurd they become. Our tolerance must have a limit to avert this multicultural idiocy: Stop giving into demands by those who cannot and will not reciprocate our civilizational superior moral values of equality and individual freedoms, but would rather drag us down to their low level of barbarity. We must resist “tolerance for the sake of tolerance” alone, and demand the Islamists to respect our civilizational values, or leave our shores. They have no business here, because they cannot reciprocate our goodwill with equal tolerance. As the remaining Serbs or Jews still alive in Muslim Kosovo, if there is any doubt.
I think the main problem is the lack of solidarity in the western world, not just today but since the beginning of the confrontations between the Islamic world and Europe. The Romans came up with the principle of 'divide and rule' but you've got to give it to the Muslims that they have perfected that policy.
Another thing is that economic interests are preventing us from uniting against them. The huge power that the Gulf countries have, sitting on top of the largest ressources of oil and gas in the world, is a dividing factor aswell. Essentially they can blackmail us. This is a problem that keeps repeating itself throughout history.
In the middle ages and the renaissance, the trade in the Mediterranean was controlled by muslims to a large extent, piracy and other damaging activities had a damaging effect on the whole area.
In the Viking period, not just slaves from Russia and the Ucraine was exported to the Islamic world, but also an unknown number of Irish, Scots, Welsh and English ended up in moorish Spain and Portugal;

It's a selfdestructive trend that never seems to end.
