Sometimes it's hard to be a woman, giving all your love to just one man... who may have up to four wives and is still thinking about 72 in heaven.

Al-Qaida in Afghanistan needs electrical engineers, medical doctors, Islamic scholars and, in particular, understanding wives, announced the movement's commander in a new audio message Thursday.
Mustafa Abu al-Yazeed, the self-proclaimed leader of the movement's Afghan branch, gave a 45-minute recruitment speech in a tape entitled, "They've lied, now comes the combat," that appeared on militant Islamist Web sites, and slammed Arab leaders for being traitors.
He urged scholars, doctors and electrical engineers to join the Mujahideen in their fight "because the combat needs all expertise and efforts." Abu al-Yazeed also called on the parents to allow their sons to fight.
He also went out of his way to address Muslim wives and admonished them "not to be an obstacle between your husbands and paradise, because the virtuous woman who loves her husband desires her husband to escape hell and go to heaven."
For those who do succeed in becoming martyrs, he cited the familiar Quranic verses promising a reward of over 70 virgins in paradise.
If having 'a' wife is hell..."because the virtuous woman who loves her husband desires her husband to escape hell and go to heaven." ...how is having 72 better?

Oh yeah, isn't AQ's dependence on Engineers and Doctors just a tich hypocritical, given their penchant for destroying schools and killing teachers? No problem though, we here in the West are MORE than willing to train these "required" professionals at OUR Universities.
I must admit, I don't understand Muslimahs at all. How can any woman with any self-respect venerate a guy who literally said they were *dirt*? "Your wives are a tilth for you, so go unto your tilth as you will."
Not to mention that the vast majority of women are going to hell because, apparently, doing anything to piss off the bantam rooster instantly buys you a one-way ticket there -- and even if you don't, even if you strap on those suicide belts to hubby and children with loving hands and ululate after they've exploded, there's an ominous silence in the texts about what, exactly, *you* get to do in Paradise except sexually service the same old guy you did back on Earth whenever he's not busy.
Forget the literal sense -- how does this make any psychological sense at all? What is the appeal? Why am I seeing young women prancing around in abayas and viselike headwraps at the mall?
I'm also perplexed Marwan's Daughter. As a Roman Catholic I love God but I am assured that He loves me back -- He love me long time. I do not see the connection between Allah and the God who gave His Son, a Son who died for me and while he walked on earth "loosed" so many women from physical and spiritual infirmities from the oft wed woman at the well to the one who could not straighten her spine.
I'm just not feeling the same kind of LOVE from this Allah guy. He's praised, he's feared, he's respected but I don't see a LOVE relationship there. He's distant.

The tragedy is that Afghan women need men to go about their daily lives OUTSIDE the house. It would be great if the women could send their husbands to jihad and get rid of them.
But muslim women need muslim men to protect them from other muslim men and to provide the economic support muslim men won't allow muslim women to provide on their own.
I'm sure many of these old men are more than happy to try to get rid of all the younger men who are competing for the young brides. And when I say young, I mean young! 9 to 12 year olds! I'm sure these girls wish all the men would go die on Jihad.

This advice to Muslimahs to let their husbands be homicide bombers in order to attain the Muslim Paradise with its 72 dark-eyed houris does not remind one in the slightest either of American singer Tammy Wynette telling women to "stand by your man" or of Russian poet Nekrasov, praising the wives who followed the Decembrists into their Siberian exile. No, this is sui generis. This is a Muslim thang.
Its a funny thing, but every time I see hundreds or thousands of muslims dancing in the street after yet another atrocity, I wonder why no-one is blowing them up or shooting them.
After all, its virtually certain that their dancing fits take place after an atrocity so it would be relatively easy to target them.
