Thanks to a generous Hot Air reader who volunteered to edit my Jihad Watch video series, we are back at work. This one discusses the strange case of three Afghans who were arrested recently with...Mexican passports.

I am glad our leaders have taken securing our border so serious.
I bet it still wouldn't make a difference to our government if they were in a eighteen wheeler filled with explosives. Nothing would change.
Thunder Pig,
You're right. Present this to Bush and you're likely to hear that they are here seeking a better life, just like the 20 million others who are here illegally. Let's welcome them all, like the good Christian nation that we are.
If only we didn't have these darned things called laws, everyone could just come and have a party!
Excellent video, as usual!!
Why indeed is no one as concerned as we are with our terribly porous border?!?!
Are they all waiting for something real to happen before we lock it all down? Are they going to use that as an excuse instead to create a further totalitarian state?! I tremble at the thought that this real terrorist threat is going to be used against to further erode what little human rights we retain.
That a court in California was willing to take away parental rights to home school their children for something so benign makes me think that this is the only logical conclusion... :(
Piko
how many terrorists have crossed our southern border since 9/11/2001 because our federal government, prez bush and congress have refused to secure our border and build the fence and protect America and Americans just for profit....
((((((blurry))))))
....or do I need corrective lenses....
This video and related open-border stories illustrate only one facet of our major infiltration problem.
Constitutional enforcement of border security is mandated by Article Four, Section Four: "...guarantee to every State...shall protect each of them against invasion..." read it all...it's really quite straightforward.

Clintonistically speaking, does this mean it depends on what the meaning of the word "invasion" is? I've seen estimates of up to 20 MILLION illegals here...does this qualify as a freaking invasion or not? The feds flunk the smell test. We are invaded.
There is only one Presidential candidate willing to address this and other Constitutional failures. I believe he would go as far as promoting the elimination of entire federal departments to fund the border security that the Constitution demands, and remove the unwanted illegals while providing a tough path towards legal immigration for many.
Wayne Root has some rad ideas, but far outweighed and outnumbered by the sensible ones in his platform. I'm sick of the two-party monopoly that now offers NOTHING to meet Constitutional duty.

Homeland Security? Hello. Going to do something here? ..........Why do I keep getting a busy signal..............?
The US immigration policies (and those of many other western countries) are ridiculous. I have several friends and acquaintances (who are not of foreign origin) from various EU/visa waiver programme countries and they have been questioned in a very harsh and suspicious way, sometimes even yelled at, and treated as if they are probably terrorists, when coming to the US to visit friends and relatives, or to go shopping in New York, etc...Meanwhile, the US-Mexican border is wide open to whoever wants to cross, so that politicians and other wealthy elites can take advantage of cheap domestic help. Surprise, surprise, they don't seem to care if a handful of terrorists manage to slip in, not to mention common criminals that are certainly coming in as well. (No, I'm not saying that all people crossing the border are criminals or terrorists-but without any kind of controls, those who are can easily slip in.) The same lack of enforcement exists in the EU.
By the way, I laughed for about 10 minutes over the names!
Its a good thing they're not a very smart bunch afterall! Their names sound like Daniel Johnson Daniel or Samantha Jones Mary. hee hee
On a serious note, I worry that a fence won't make a difference unless a whole bunch of other security measures (possibly some that are frowned upon by the Geneva Convention)are installed as well.
Not saying everything in this video clip is completely accurate (down to the type of wall built) but it does raise some questions.

We DO need to figure out a way to bypass the obstacles that keep us from outright knocking on the doors of known or suspected illegal aliens and deporting them immediately. Also, why aren't we showing up and sitting in, in mosques? What are they gonna do...throw us out? Cut off our heads? (OK...that wasn't funny) seriously though. I don't think sitting in a mosque and whistle blowing any suspicious activities are a violation of anybody's freedoms.
IMHO, if we don't toughen up and hold our noses a little we may end up loosing more than our freedoms. Humpf.
