WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Bush administration said Thursday it had reached agreement Abu Dhabi and Singapore that they will not use their huge government investment funds to further their political goals.

The funds have raised concerns about the potential threats that large amounts of foreign investment could pose to the U.S. economy and other industrial countries.
A set of policy principles was released after Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson met with officials from Abu Dhabi, home to the world's largest government investment fund, and Singapore, which also controls a sizable investment fund.
"We had a good discussion today on the issues surrounding sovereign wealth funds," Paulson said in a statement. He said the principles that had been agreed to would further efforts to develop a set of best practices to govern how the funds operate.

Your suggesting will never fly in any Western country. It makes too much sense, and it flies in the face of the dogma that Islam is perfectly compatible with a democratic society, and that Muslims, like all immigrant groups, will eventually come to share the same principles and values as the rest of us.
If common sense ever prevailed, we wouldn't just deport the offenders, we'd deport their whole families, including including spouses, children, siblings and parents. I think you'd see a lot more self-policing in Muslim families if they all thought they'd have pay a price for the conduct of one family member.
Of course, the ultimate solution would be to ban all Muslim immigration to the West, coupled with the above suggestion for handling trouble makers.

It does not surprise me that muslims will pay for extreme brutality video's. Nearly every terrorist captured in a house has beheading and torture video's in his jihadi tool box. When Zarqawi was doing his thing with a rusty knife, beheading video's were out renting porn video's in Baghdad.

Yes, hell found its witting dupe in Mohammad, a son of Ishmael so full of himself and his "revelations" that he would dismiss as corrupt all contradicting prophetic testimony that preceded his own. Hell counted on it.

As a Hindu from India, the Westerners should appreciate the difficulties in managing 200 million muslims amongst us for over 1000 years. We have managed them and here are a few suggestions:
> Go back to Christianity and the Church. It is a good religion and it is worth defending. Dfending Christianity is better slogan than defending an abstract like freedom of speech, democracy etc.
> Throw out the socialist scoundrals from politics and the left lunatics from the academics
> Force the Conserve Party to become Christianity supporting party; it is unlikely that the Church will exert any undue influence in the government and it is a an issue that can be remedied.
> Scrap the welfare pay outs except for the aged. Welfare only encourages the unproductives and undesirables.
> Make extradition easy and it should be for the entire family; the convict will be jailed say for a period of five years but the family will be thrown out immediately on conviction
> Influence the judiciary, by fair and foul means, to give tougher decisions.
> The police force should be brainwashed against muslims and should use violent methods to control. In India the police does and people brush aside the resultant Islamic jingoism.
> The Conservative party should accept national security as the main plank

Also, I agree that the terrorists gain some sexual satisfaction from murdering people. I also think that they probably have sex with each other, since women are basically off limits. One (maybe two) of the 9/11 terrorists paid for an escort prostitute in his hotel room in Cambridge, Mass. I think a study on the psycho-sexual habits and motivations of Muslim terrorists would be fascinating. As they say, "Women are for children, men are for fun."

I have been writing of this in letters for years, and it is good to see that, atlast, this fact that Christianity is the central feature of not just Britain but the Western world.
It is the Christian ethos and devout Christians, that gave rise to separation of church and state, the abolition of slavery, emancipation of women, compassion to prisoners of war, the Red Cross, and charities, to name just a few. It is the Christian ethos that gave rise to modern science and technology. It is not a coincidence that such developments took place only in Christendom and not elsewhere. Even the secular state is a Christian invention.
The last few decades have seen a huge shift of power towards the secular state, which has upset the balance that should be between the secular and the moral. The results of this unbalance are the social decay that is visible for all to see.
Thiagan and DP111, rather than perpetuate the idiocy of religion why not ban them all? That would be far more rational.

For what, about a week? I live in the UK, these people are treated with kid gloves. Our Government is so intent on creating a Marxist/socialist utopia they allow anyone who promotes hatred against our country to say and do as they wish. They occasionally hand out a minimal sentence to keep the "population" happy but they actively support the destruction of my country by these animals. All in the name of multiculturalism.
