Whoops. "Suspect in murders of French flees Mauritania court," by Noiselle Champagne for Reuters:
NOUAKCHOTT, April 2 (Reuters) - An al Qaeda suspect accused of the Christmas Eve killing of four French tourists in Mauritania escaped from police in the West African country on Wednesday, lawyers and officials said.
Sidi Ould Sidna asked police to leave him alone for a few minutes to pray, and took the opportunity to escape, judicial sources in Paris and in Mauritania's intelligences service said.
Ould Sidna is accused of gunning down four French tourists during a family picnic by the side of a road in southern Mauritania last Dec. 24 in a rare attack that sparked worries of rising militant Islamist violence in the usually sleepy country.
Defence lawyers said Ould Sidna, 20, gave police officers the slip shortly after a hearing before an examining magistrate at the main law courts in Mauritania's capital Nouakchott.
"The hearing ended at around 1 p.m. We left the 5th chamber, where the hearing had taken place, and we walked the few steps to the criminal court," said Ould Sidna's lawyer, Souleimane Sy.
"Then Sidi Ould Sidna went on alone with a police officer. They went towards the law court's police station. Ten minutes later the police officers came back, dumbfounded, saying he had escaped," said Sy.
Security services mounted an operation in the area around the court house, but failed to find Ould Sidna.
"Some sources are suggesting he may even still be inside," Souleimane said. [...]
Ould Sidna and his co-accused are suspected of killing the French tourists on behalf of al Qaeda, whose global second-in-command called in September for Muslims to cleanse the Maghreb "of the children of France and Spain".
"It's flabbergasting," said a senior official in the West African country's administration.
Yes. It is.
Oh, another escape! These people are such liars. The West is just going to have to track these murderers down and kill them like in the movie Munich.
Oh no, not again! It's like deja vu all over again.
It's funny, when Muslims are holding kufirs prisoner, they never seem to escape. In fact, they usually end up dead, like Daniel Pearl, Nicholas Berg, or Paul M. Johnson. But when it's a jihadi they're holding, they suddenly turn into 1920's slapstick comedians, and it's suddenly pratfalls, kooky mixups, and whacky hijinks. "I thought you had Mohammad!"
I wonder why that is?

surprise, surprise. . . . . . not.
It's because 'killing infidels is a small matter':
Tabari [early Arab historian of Islam] Bk IX:69: “As for one who disbelieves, we will fight him forever in the Cause of Allah. Killing him is a small matter to us.”
The life of an infidel, in the blood money/ compensation scale, is worth less than that of a Muslim - we can see that in any outline of sharia law, and in the penal code of Saudi Arabia.
Reliance of the Traveller (manual of Islamic law) says:
Muslim women’s Blood-Money is half of Muslim men’s; Jews and Christians one-third; Zoroastrians one-fifteenth.
Bukhari Volume 4, Book 52, Number 283:
Narrated Abu Juhaifa:
'I asked Ali, "Do you have the knowledge of any Divine Inspiration besides what is in Allah's Book?" 'Ali replied, "No... I don't think we have such knowledge, but we have the ability of understanding which Allah may endow a person with, so that he may understand the Qur'an, and we have what is written in this paper as well."
'I asked, "What is written in this paper?"
'He replied, "(The regulations of) blood-money, the freeing of captives, and the judgment that no Muslim should be killed for killing an infidel."
All infidels are by definition 'guilty' and deserve whatever they get; all Muslims are 'innocent' vis a vis Infidels - so we learned from Anjem Choudhury in Britain.
At least, that seems to be the mindset.
So Muslim authorities in a place like Mauritania are culturally predisposed to not see any reason to punish a Muslim who merely knocked off a few infidels. So they will be inclined to let him go 'accidentally on purpose'
After all: Muslim loyalty to fellow Muslims trumps everything else.
Ishaq [Life of Mohammed]:231 - “Muslims are one ummah (community) to the exclusion of all men. Believers are friends of one another to the exclusion of all outsiders.”
"... when Muslims are holding kufirs prisoner, they never seem to escape ... But when it's a jihadi they're holding, they suddenly turn into 1920's slapstick comedians, and it's suddenly pratfalls, kooky mixups, and whacky hijinks. 'I thought you had Mohammad!' I wonder why that is?"
Maybe the Jihadists are kinda like that guy on Star Trek: Deep Space 9, who is really just a bunch of spineless shapeshifting jelly ...
Or the guards are incompetent ...
Or the guards are in on it ...
I'm thinking it's probably a mixture of #1 and #3 ...

that is probably why we always hear their women screamingit's a miscarriage of justice when they are convicted and have to serious time by an infidel court after all a sharia court would not even charge them in all likelihood in the case of this guy look for the nearest woman with big feet and hairy calf'sin a burqa and likely that will be the escaped prisoner
I'm shocked, SHOCKED, .....
Muslim prayer may invoke random acts of violence, so play it safe and lock your doors.
Muslims are praying - run for cover!!
All he did was kill some kuffars.................why was he arrested?
It's not like he killed people, I mean Muslims.
