Officials yesterday found traces of bomb-making material in the Islam Burapa school in Muang district, which has been turned into a centre for insurgents to plan their moves since the state ordered it shut down last year.The rebel group ignored last year's raid at the school when security officers rounded up seven suspected insurgents, and have continued to plot insurgent activities there by making bombs and supplying them to militants, according to a villager.
The officials, led by Khunying Porntip Rojanasunan, director of the Central Institute of Forensic Science, found traces of explosive materials on furniture, utensils and cloth in four shelters in the school. One of the shelters belongs to a man identified as Abdulaman Mauseng.
''These materials are found to be the same as those used in bomb blasts in the area,'' said Narathiwat governor Karan Supakijvilekka.
Teachers and more than 600 students were forced to study elsewhere after the school's licence was revoked following the raid in July last year....

what were they studying that caused the schools license to be revoked? who were the teachers? and was anyone arrested?
Remember that when Americans enter, or shoot into, a Muslim school or mosque, it is supposed to be the severest of violations. A monstrous violation of the sanctity of these edifices of Muslim worth.
But then the Muslims allow insurgents to meet and plan their atrocities within the schools and mosques. They stockpile weapons within the schools and mosques. They train within them. They put snipers at the top of mosques who fire at opponents! And you are not to strike back, ever!
They truly have no shame, no shame at all.
We need a world-public statement on this, accusing Muslim extremists of violating the sanctity of mosques, schools, and hospitals any time they allow them to be used for violence or for supporting insurgency. We need to forcefully say that ANY mosque used for such a purpose is no longer to be considered a religious temple as it has been defiled. We need to introduce this within the United Nations and argue forcefully for it; this may be the only good that the UN would have been worth in the last forty years, should we do this.

It makes sense to have explosives training before lunch. I remember in high school I was always sleepy after lunch... I feel asleep in Algebra regularly. We just can't have that when they NEED to learn how to build dynamite vests and car bombs.
So we don't want the junior jihadists to be sleepy over explosives....
The next time you hear some dope -- say, Michael Scheuer -- solemnly declaiming that "they hate us [America] because of our policies in supporting Israel and propping up the Al-Saud and invading Iraq" adduce, as part of the overwhelming evidence to the contrary -- evidence that includes the Qur'an, the Hadith and the Sira (which the michael-scheuers of this world never get around to studying, because it's too much trouble, would make too many demands), and 1350 years of Muslim conquest and, at times, unsuccessful attempts at Jihad (and then, in periods of overwhelming Western power, the doctrine did not disappear but merely fell into prudent desuetude), and also includes stories like this one, from distant Thailand, Thailand which is not the United States, and not known to particularly support Israel, or prop up the Al-Saud, and last I looked, the Thais had not invaded Iraq.
These "reasons" -- when they are occasionally given from time to time by some terrorist spokesmen or leaders,, is merely done -- but only for audiences of Infidels -- to deflect attention from Islam itself, and not consistently, for such people as Bin Laden want Muslims themselves to have no confusion: they are out to fight and kill Infidels, all Infidels who stand in the way of the spread, and ultimate dominance, of Islam, and the Jihad is hardly limited to the United States. It is being pressed in Western Europe, in the southern Sudan, in southern Nigeria, in the Philippines. It is pressed against non-Muslims who dare to assert their rights in Malaysia, or who dare simply to continue to be Hindus, in Pakistan and Bangladesh, or Christians in Indonesia.
For Muslm audiences the assorted bin-ladens stay with another, and truer message: Muslims, be true to Islam, do not compromise for worldly gain, lke the corrupt rulers of Egypt or Saudi Arabia (Bin Laden does not understand that the Saudi rulers and people are at least as dangerous, in their deployment of the Money Weapon, as Bin Laden and all known Muslim terrorists put together), conduct violent Jihad, don't ever compromise, act fi sabil Allah. In the way, the path, of Allah.
This has nothing to do with this or that foreign policy. It's far beyond that. It is no different from the hatred felt for Infidels whether they are as deplorably decadent as a Hollywood whorelet, or as modest and upright as Orthodox Jews walking to shul, or Amish, in their horse-and-buggies. They all deserve to be crushed, equally, if they stand in the way -- and they do stand in the way -- of Islam.

I hear leftists blame American policies in and around the MI for the last sixty years, which includes support for Israel, for jihad.
When I ask them what specific American act or policy pushed muslims into jihad, they have no answer.
When I ask them what American policy is 'causing' the Janjaweed in Sudan to slaughter Black Christians, no answer for that either.
There are a lot of questions like that they have no answer for, that's when the name calling and insults start. Everyone who posts here including muslims, know what causes muslims to jihad. The 'cause' is in the texts in the same way that the 'Devil' is in the details'. American policies may influence jihad, but they did not 'cause' it...

True, many leftists have used the support for Israel as one of the main causes of their violent jihad. They basically prey about the sensitivity of mainstream Muslims on the issue of Israel in an attempt to gain support for their violent jihad. But in the end as we seen with Bin Laden supporters in Iraq, it doesn't matter if your Sunni or Shiite if you don't follow their guidelines to the Quran, they will use any violent means, like death by bombing in order to accomplish their goals.

This story stands out in that it mentions Islam. Similar stories in Thailand, Sudan, Philippines and just about anywhere else in Africa and Asia almost always fail to point to Islam as the reason for "rebels" or "insurgents" to fight their countrymen. Their conflict is usually painted in a secular light, as if independence was all they sought.

In his insistence that it's all political, that only policy differences drive anti Western violence Michael Scheuer won't consider what forms that Islamic political outlook, even though the enemy and their spokesmen explain it clearly over and over: "Islam is a total system". For good measure he adds an endless repetition of "sir", as if it gives his words more authority.
We've seen "total systems" before and learned, at great cost in lives and treasure, that an accommodating response early on only necessitates a "total response" later on.

Nope. Something huge is going to have to happen, something as big as the Holocaust, before people "learn" anything about the Mohammedans. Until then, it's go about with eyes wide shut denying and pretending and calling those with eyes wide open "racists" and "bigots" and "haters."
It's just not in the human condition to "nip things in the bud." I forsee a nuclear event or WW3.
